  1. Was a really lovely car that, I remember Jurgen importing it, circa 2008 iirc.
  2. Mental maybe I'll just make do with the one fully working one then
  3. Anyone have a heated seat switch kicking around they don't want? Working or non working is fine thanks
  4. Really nice setup that. Been considering one of these for a daily project, do they handle well?
  5. 13 year, 15k post newbie here
  6. I work for a Volvo main dealer, and spend quite a lot of time in all types of ICE, hybrid and full electric (BEV) cars. I wouldnt consider buying one (BEV), because at the moment the premium for buying one is enormous over a similar spec ICE or mild hybrid car. Purchase price aside though, the Volvo BEV offering (XC40 P8 or Polestar 2) are excellent cars, and could be used by many as a daily driver, with no issues about range anxiety etc. Performance is startling for cars of this size/type. But if you have no facility to charge at home, or very regularly do 100 mile plus trips, these cars arent ideal. PHEV (plug in hybrid) are a good compromise though, and volvos will do over 20 miles on a charge (actual amount depends on model). That is enough for many peoples commute, school run, shopping etc. Frankly, I see the current generation of BEV cars as a necessary, 'not quite there' stepping stone to what comes next. But I am entirely convinced that the future WILL be with electric, and I was a sceptic.
  7. A cylinder leakage test should help greatly
  8. Piston damage leads to bore damage, excessive wear of components causes bore damage (ovality etc)
  9. Assuming it is the rings, Ringland damage will likely follow of left. You'll also have the effects of long term oil contamination, and the knock on effects of the component wear that will cause.
  10. Pull the plugs and check colour/ condition. Won't cost a thing and may give you an indication if you have an ignition issue. Probably worth checking fuel pressure after that if you're convinced it's engine related. What makes you think your piston rings are dead? Wouldn't continue driving it if that is the case, will end up making the block scrap.
  11. Rocking a 1JZ now. Seem to remember it being a big budget build a few years back https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-heavily-modified-/203629982529?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  12. RSP with what looked like a drag parachute, being towed on a trailer past Clifton Moore, York this morning.
  13. $555,000 US https://www.whichcar.com.au/news/fast-and-furious-toyota-supra-sold
  14. Another vote for Torque GT, brilliant service.
  15. https://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/VU5655335491/index.html?STID=SMPH0002&RESTID=SMPH0001#mainBlock Very low miles 2002 RZ-S 6 speed. Over £160k
  16. Really not sure what to make of that. Definitely not a good thing for the forum though.
  17. Have you considered the Grannas Racing T56 swap? They supply it with a cast bellhousing adapter now too, so it looks more oem. Works with na auto diff ratio too I believe. https://www.grannasracing.com/blogs/news/new-2jz-to-t56-cast-aluminum-bellhousing https://www.grannasracing.com/products/supra-t56-magnum-f-swap-kit-mkiv-2jz-tr6060
  18. I think the w58 is the thing that stops it being top money, but I would still start at £25k and see how you get on. If it was ab6bspeed, I would have thought 30k in the current market. Has some really lovely parts on it (especially that exhaust!!)
  19. Really nice little mod that would love one but with this:
  20. To be fair that is as nice a Supra as anyone is ever likely to find, the fact that it's an auto will make it a relative bargain. How much would that be worth as a manual?
  21. To be fair, that appears much tidier than most of the cars that come up for sale. Think the asking price is ambitious to say the least, but there's no point aiming low in the current climate.
  22. As above. Will likely need a few £k spending on it, but it would almost certainly be worth the extra investment. Probably being sent to a renowned specialist like Whifbitz or SRD would really help with a potential sale. Would be worth clarifying the mileage and history, that seat is very worn for a low miles car.
