    What track car?

I had an s14a and took it for a track day at brands once. I thought it was a brilliant track car. coilovers and decent tyres and it handled great. Highly recommend! And correct me if I'm wrong but dont they only weigh 1200 or 1400kgs? Edit: 1265kg from Parkers.co.uk For now I've got an old 306 xsi that I bought for £250 from an insurance place and have lots of fun driving it around the track. Highly recommend for a bit of fun. I do regret not waiting for a gti-6 though as there alot faster!
  2. I know a decent one in Herne Bay (5ish miles away) that my dad has used for the last 20ish years if thats any good. But if its just an MOT anyone will do wont it? Its only when work is needed doing you need to worry what garage to take it?
  3. Love that Red over the carbon fibre door. Looks nice
  4. Here's my old 200sx in hok Candy Pagan Gold with a silver base. Looked amazing in the sun. But close up you could see quite a few errors like different shades on the roof and aparently had too many layers of laquer on it as I had a few repairs done and he had a hard time matching it?? I think it would be in your interest to find a garage that has experience in spraying HOK paints like mitchell was saying.
  5. It should say on the log book when it had passed the VIC check and that its been damaged/repaired. As supraloopy says it could of been minor damaged, even just a few scratches to be a CAT C. But it will always be a CAT C and therefore harder to sell.
  6. No they didn't, it was front wheel drive. I was wrong. I was told it was 4wd when we picked it up. The main reason I didnt use it. Going to be scrapped soon.
  7. No, bought it like that from copart
  8. Changed my mind with the celica. Found a peugeot 306 xsi to use instead. Just come back from a track day session at Lydden. Not very impressive I know, but such a laugh, cant wait for the next one in Febuary.
  9. Personally I dont like mine (going to spray it body coloured as soon as I can)
  10. Oh right, No faults lights on the dash, so maybe just a slow starter. Has done 200000km
  11. Could this be the reason my car takes a a few more cranks to start than usual cars do to start?
  12. Where abouts would an average BPU Supra be do you recon?
  13. Thank you very much, I shall upload a photo of my Supra birthday cake shortly
  14. Thanks for the alternator Keron. Excellent service, Excellent Price too. (If only I can remember how to write feedback for you?) I need a rear o/s (if that matters) ABS Sensor and still need the whole standard speedo cluster.
  15. Good posts, Some good information to remember
  16. Very nice car. Miss my one. There suprisingly light for the size of them too. I've still got loads of spares for these still. Was my first and only car I've taken on a track day and as far as I can tell handled very well. That is a clean example. If your planning on manual converting... I picked a gearbox up for mine for £150 in perfect condition, so make sure you look around...
  17. Hello, I'm going to suprapod now so hope to see you lot on the way up. Will be travelling in that direction at that time
  18. I need all 3 really. To replace my TRD kph ones
  19. Thanks Chris I stole a longer bolt from the center console and swapped them. But I think I need to change the others too.
  20. Both of you were spot on!! Thank god for that! I was seriously thinking new gearbox, which would have been impossible for me at the moment! Thanks everyone for your help. Thanks for the offer Dude! This means I can actually take the supra to suprapod now!
  21. Thanks for the advise, I will try what Steve and Chris suggested in the hope its an easy fix otherwise it will be what you just suggested! Thanks I will be trying that tomorrow. Would be very nice if thats all it is. Hopefully. Thought it was a new gearbox when it wouldn't go into gear!
  22. I'm not 100% sure as I've never been in or driven another manual supra before, but I may have a short shifter as the gearstick seems low and doesn't travel much when changing gear, maybe that wouldn't help? Is that something that can be changed with the gear box still attached to the car or gearbox out? The bushes I mean?
  23. Hello, my gearbox has started playing up. I did a few drag runs and my first one was fine. Done another one 20mins later and it would not go in 2nd, so I put it in 3rd, then it wouldn't go into 4th easily, but did eventually. After a bit of messing about putting it into all the gears whilst standing still I tried another run and it was ok. But now every now and then whilst driving normally when I put it into 2nd the part of the gear knob that you pull up to put into reverse seems to go up itself when I put it in 2nd and 4th and it doesn't feel right, other times it can be normal. I'm thinking its a combination of the oil/ heat making the oil thinner and something up with the selector part of the gearbox. Anyone have any ideas what I can do from now? I'm quite happy to take the box out and have a fiddle...
