Sorted!. After buying an alternator turns out a wire had corroded and snapped off the plug that goes onto the alternator. All fixed and she lives.

Probably around £15 I would of thought, that not a problem though. If I give you £60 or £65 and you post it, if its anymore I'll pay you the rest once you've posted it? Would that be ok? Well to be honest I cant be sure the last alternator wasn't on its way out anyway as it was second hand also. I will get my old man to have a look before I fit your one...

Not sure, only had it a few months aswell as my original one went. Car hadn't been used in a while and battery was down when I started it, so that may have been the reason? How much including delivery Rob? could you sort out a photo of the plug side of the alternater please, if its the right one I'll have that off you!

Yea your right, but thats very bad luck that 2 alternators died. I hadn't used the car for quite a while, so the battery was down alot and apparently alternators dont like it when a battery is very low??

Yeah it had and still has a small sub 'n' amp from when I bought it. But its been fine for a year, then the first alternator went so I bought a second hand one from keron and now thats gone. I said 6months but it was alot less i do believe.

Hello, my car seems to have broken its second alternator after 6months of changing it. Any idea what could cause this? I have a vented bonnet which is open to the elements, so I thought that might be a factor?

I hate them, 35 profile tyre too. Drives awful! Should see the bodykit on it too [sHOCK][/sHOCK] Its going back to standard. Didnt know they'd be written on the back, I shall check tomorrow as the damaged one is in the boot. Cheers

Personal taste I suppose. I think alot of times certain spoilers and bodykits look good on some coloured cars and not on others. I saw a red veilside s14a once and it was horrible, yet I had a veilside front bumper on my gold s14a and thought it looked nice...

I see, yes my 200 wasn't too good in standard form I didnt think. But stage 1 (280ish bhp), coilovers and wheels, it was a totally different animal.
