  1. Which in turn makes me wonder. BOTH "traders" show up as regular residential addresses in High Wycombe when you use Google Street View on the postcodes in their "contact us" links. I've sent both traders an email asking them for more information on the cars: engine bay shots, close up interior shots, details on service history, etc; no response so far. Is there some kind of racket going on in High Wycombe?
  2. I thought the stock-ish looking one wasn't too bad, if I'm honest. But I admit to being no expert at this kind of thing. I suppose it is a case of "Jurgen, over to you"...
  3. That's fine, Jurgen - I was just looking around to see if anything might pop up in the UK market; I mention both of the above Supras simply because we discussed a price bracket of 10-12k from a decent facelift TT6. That is therefore what I am expecting to pay, and am now a little wary of anything that fits my criteria AND is some way under budget. As mentioned above, I'd prefer to wait for the right one to come along and have the peace of mind of collecting a good quality car.
  4. Update: have used Google Street View to look at the locations of the two trader sellers given by their respective websites, and both are residential addresses in High Wycombe. I was hoping to see shop hoardings and mini-showrooms or forecourts. Not so convinced now, ergo not so keen to contact them...
  5. Would it be a fair argument to say that I am expecting prices of 10k upwards based on a face-to-face discussion with Jurgen @ JM? I visited him a few weeks ago to discuss purchasing a Supra, and he said a reasonable price for a good '96-on TT6 would be from 10000 to 12500 quid. That price bracket is the budget I now have, but I'd much rather pay more and have the peace of mind that I won't be paying over the odds to bring a shed up to speed later on.
  6. I've recently spied a couple of Supras in the classifieds; I'd like to draft opinion on whether they look worthwhile from their adverts and listed prices:- http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201024361029063/sort/priceasc/usedcars/colour/white/model/supra/make/toyota/radius/1501/keywords/turbo/postcode/da83bu/page/1?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201028363326220/sort/priceasc/usedcars/colour/white/model/supra/make/toyota/radius/1501/keywords/turbo/postcode/da83bu/page/1?logcode=p I'm concerned that a pair of TT6s (both '96 on) are a bit too good to be true at under £9000 each, especially the Veilside one which claims 450bhp and only 45000 miles on the odo, as well as quite a few add-ons. Discuss.
  7. I am surprised that this is such a good price - the bragging rights to owning an '02 plate Supra must be massively tempting at this price.
  8. Jodie Marsh once stepped on my toe on the dancefloor of a local club. She turned, apologised then carried on dancing. I was quite awestruck, she is stunning in person.
  9. Ian Wright signed my dad's birthday card for me in the Arsenal FC merchandise chop when I was about 10. Happened across Glen Johnson and Leroy Lita blundering about separately, but both looking lost, in Bluewater about 2 years ago. Had a drink and a long chat with Andy Fordham one Christmas while he still owned the Rose pub in Dartford.
  10. Following this theme, I've gone up three from eleven (in a Top of the Pops chart round-up style voice) - was that Alan Freeman?
  11. Check out Whifbitz, a very well respected trader on here. They have a TT for just over 10k, and a single for 14k. If you don't snap one up, I just might do so myself.
  12. I know what you mean. Sky's Supertelly package is an excellent offer, and the football coverage is second to none... oh, wait - hang on...
  13. I've got a spade if that helps...
  14. Tidy. How much? Where from, etc?
  15. Eleventh after the first race. I took your advice and avoided the top spot as it is so... last year.
  16. Beyond a joke really. I learnt today, following a column in The Sun, that we would actually have the cheapest fuel in Europe IF tax and duty didn't exist. So the cheapest fuel is hit with the greatest level of tax and duty. Welcome to Britain. Please close the door on the way out...

    Good day

The hazardous "compressed gas" stickers are only required on commercial vehicles (artics, ambulances, works vans, etc). Although it'd be a first to see a Supra with a hazardous sticker on it...
  18. Did someone finish first last year then? Nobody told me...
  19. Not that you're holding it against me or anything...
  20. Ta. Good luck to you all again Is there a readily available breakdown of last season's final standings (our standings, not the actual F1 drivers)?
  21. It is probably along the same lines as my 2008 Megane GT - that is also keyless, it works with one of those credit card sized fobs, which you slot into the dash and then press the "engine start/stop" button to start or switch off the engine. The fob does not have to be in the dashboard slot; if you have the fob in a pocket (or about your person) when you approach the car, it detects the presence of the fob and unlocks all doors and allows you to start the engine without taking the key out of your pocket - as long as it remains within the car's detection area. When exiting the vehicle, whether or not the fob is in the dash, you just press the "engine start/stop" button which stops the engine running. Opening the driver's door then switches off all the electrics, and you use the "lock" button on the fob to activate the central locking once you've closed the door behind you. You cannot even lock the fob in the car (if you accidentally leave it in the dash) as there is no way to lock the car from the outside without having the fob in your hand. HTH.

    Been a long time

Kettle Chips are the current king of crisps. Certainly how they should be done. Plus you can get big 150g bags of them, rather than the paltry Walkers effort of a "30g" bag with about 15g of crisps in.
  23. Thanks for the reminder. Lbm - I have stupidly sent my entry to you for this year's competition (as you were the one who kindly reminded me of this year's competition via PM), I've just forwarded it to Caseys for my entry. Please feel free to take hints from a winning line-up to increase your own chances of success... ahem. Caseys - the prize for last year's competition is to go to Cancer Research.
