    Whers it gon?

If he was born in a barn...
  2. This thread was a good idea, in light of recent developments in the now infamous "other" thread. Well done tooquicktostop and Supraloopy.
  3. Damn you and your visual stimulus. I had narrowed it down to three, and now it is up to four. I'm clearly a sucker for an action shot.
  4. Oh, and welcome to the forum. I almost forgot my manners.

    Envy

There is a whole thread dedicated to this. It's long (over 200 posts), but it'll explain everything.
  6. Yes, you definitely should.
  7. Apologies for the delay. Look up the following:- trackdays.co.uk extremedays.co.uk dreamdays.co.uk All run by the same mob, but each facilitate different types of thrill seeking. Fill your boots.
  8. Hold that though, Hob. I'll get back to you on that this evening.
  9. You'll be exceptionally lucky to get a three-figure quote at just 19. You pay an excess of several hundred pounds just for being under 21 (regardless of how many years NCB you have). An imported motor is classed as higher risk too. Good luck.
  10. I must admit, the responses have surprised me so far. Never imagined there'd be just as many mentions for the Atom as the Lambo.
  11. I'm not so sure you could do it all alone. I would also like to offer my services. A problem shared IS a problem halved, after all.
  12. Hmm. Depends whether you'll fit in the boot. That is if the one I pick has a boot...
  13. I'd never have even thought of half of those combinations that you've come up with. I'm quite sure I'd have no problem polishing off a muffin that had any of those toppings. You were wasted at Jaguar with an imagination like that.
  14. Not quite as the title suggests, but bear with me. A work colleague of mine has used her sales skills and spiel to blag me a free "track day" at Kenilworth off one of her clients. Basically, you turn up, present your licence and pass, and you're then given a quick briefing, shown a demonstration around the track by an instructor in a "sports saloon", then you pick one of the cars on offer and are able to drive four laps of the track. I suppose, a bit like one of those "drive a sports car" packages that you can buy out of the Argos catalogue, only better. My only sticking point is which car to drive. I'll have a choice of:- Lotus Exige Ferrari 360 Lamborghini Gallardo Aston Martin Vantage V8 Audi R8 Ariel Atom Decisions, decisions. Any opinions? I've narrowed it down (provisionally) to three - I wonder if others would go for the same machines.
  15. Oops - I neglected to say that doesn't bode well.

    Post your gym pics

Love is a strong word. Perhaps Rorschach was onto something.

    Post your gym pics

As an extension of this, this thread is almost like being in a real gym. Lots of men comparing themselves to one another, and testosterone flying around by the bucketload. I shall head out for lunch, and grab myself a nice, healthy McDonalds, and read through the additions to the thread on my return, whilst slowly chewing on my Big Mac and large fries.
  18. I see Hamilton reached the heady heights of sixteenth, apparently. That's a good start for me to this game; and for three-quarters of the rest of the league too.
  19. As long as caseys confirms that this isn't a duplicate, here is my tuppence worth:- Hamilton / Alonso / Heidfeld / Vettel / Rosberg / Barrichello / Button
  20. +1 for Elite, particularly as you're in Kent. They measure your current tracking settings, camber, toe etc for free, and then only charge you if you actually want the settings altered. Seventeen quid a corner on my GTO about 18 months ago. I was in and out in about half an hour. Henning @ Elite will look after you.

    Redundancy

There are indeed - West Thurrock and Tilbury together are just one big industrial site with docks. I'd like to think that I could attract a clientele a little more upper-crust than the locals round here. Especially being from Dartford myself It's just frustrating to have worked hard for over four years here and got into entry-level management, just to have the rug pulled from under my feet. I can't really apply my shipping "skill set" to any other industry, so it seems that I'd have to forgo being an entry-level manager in another profession or another industry. I believe the appropriate expression is "happy days".

    Redundancy

It is just a bit disconcerting, particularly as I was more than halfway to making a big enough hole in my debts to warrant buying either a Supra or an MR2 (as I'd mentioned in a previous thread). It now seems that I have to rein it all in and make it last for as long as possible; after all, I don't exactly know when I will be re-employed. Oh well - take one step back to move two forward, I guess.
