  1. the mfi? no i was a bit of an idiot and forgot i will try once iv tested the sparks.
  2. yea i will be testing all of these tomorrow and replacing if need be. though im still not sure if it will correct the problem of it cutting out.
  3. my mate whos a mechanic had a quick look over it and discovered a misfire, so much for running smoothly. though im not convinced this is the only reason it cuts out. i took the spark covers off which exposed what looked like a very new cambelt. could it be by some chance that it is because the timing is not set up right to cause it to cut out?
  4. The cat is now being used on another project so is not for sale but the induction is still up for grabs and i have decided to knock £10 of the original collection and delievery price so; £40 collected £50 delivered This induction kit was recommended to me by garage whifbitz when i phoned them and almost spent double the amount i spent on this one. its suppose to be the best one for the N/A and also was one of the cheapest.
  5. i certainly havent been booting it when attempting to drive it. it has only been under small load. i reved it up to 6000 rpm earlier and their were no splutters or anything like that, it ran as smooth as anything it was literally only when it was in gear.
  6. im on the soarer owners club and lextreme but not much has come back on there, no where near as much as on here
  7. will do, £100 not to bad seeing as the soarer only cost me £550
  8. both hot and cold it does it on. the soarer had been left standing for about 6 months so i left it running a good half hour this evening and then tested it and it still happened. i havent heard any air leaks but then i havnt had my head in the bonnet whiles accelorating in gear. i was thinking dizzy caps/arms but surely it wouldnt be ticking over so well.
  9. its only when it is in drive or reverse when moving, more so in drive after about 10-15 feet. whiles in park or nutral its fine.
  10. car revs very cleanly, it cuts out whiles on the pedal. will try the maf tomorrow
  11. that was one of my thoughts but wouldnt it do it on reving anyway not just when its in gear
  12. Hi guys, i bought my first v8 soarer last night to do the conversion on my mkiv supra. it had to be towed home as it had no mot or tax on it. when i got near my home i thought i would give it a try and start it up. it has a fully charged battery on it and jerry can of fuel. now tick over it sounds lovely, even whiles reving it it sounded great. it wasnt until i put it in gear, drove about 10-20 foot and everything cut out, then all turned back on apart from the engine (lights ect)! breaks became rather stiff and i lost power steering. now iv spent this evening running the car and wondered if it was purely because it had been left standing for a while. again sounded lovely. pulled it off the drive onto my private road and it cut out again. started her up, reversed her and it did it again. kept doing it in drive and reverse. but only whiles i had my foot on the gas pedal in gear. doesnt do it any other time. any ideas people? please i could really do with some know how!
  13. its a universal one so if you was to remove the first cat entirely and then replace the second one with this i cant see why not. though some welding is required to make it all match up as this has no flanges.
  14. please read my post above, i will not be shipping abroad. i just dont have the time to sort out shipping abroad, sorry.
  15. For everyone pm'ing me with regards to shipping I will not be shipping abroad and will not give out bank account details to those who's membership is about to expire. Thanks
  16. Hi guys. i have a universal high flow cat for sale which i bought for a conversion project but have now decided to go de-cat. cost £175 new, never been used. £60 delivered This is now being used on another project so not for sale £50 collected I also have an apexi induction kit for the non turbo supra which was bought from whifbitz for £150, its done about 8,000 miles. Again £60 delivered £50 collected cheers
  17. I can remember when i said i wanted to do the 4.0l v8 conversion on here i got slatted for it. Over the last two years i have been in convosation with Thor racing and using the website Lextreme to fully gauge the work needed to be done. i was myself going to have thor racing do mine but them thought where was the fun in that and actully offically started the project yesterday. hopefully by october the engine should be installed and then im looking into having a eaton m90 supercharger set up from Bulletcars in Australia.
  18. ill have to check but i think i have some "police do not cross" tape kicking about.
  19. i cant wait to see how this turns out. i have been thinking of colour changes for a while now and even looked at vinyl wrapping. thing i like about the hammerite black is its not like other satins which i think look more gray then black. would really be interested in having this done on my supra. though i think i might do it using my compressor and spray gun. i totally agree with what you say about it needing thinning down but surely if they do it in a spray can anyway then that has to be thined down somehow. hats off to you though fella, opened another window of opotunities
  20. Problem is now solved. the indicators i had which use to fit the blitz front bumper fine and in all honesty fit most fine will now be going up for sale. after discussing the issue of fitment with my body shop he pointed out that even if they could bolt up the curves of the bumper did not compliment the smooth edges of the lights. when i suggested using some mx5 side repeaters and sticking them to the mesh he thought it would just look like they had been stuck on and look out of place. instead what i have just finnish doing is replacing the front fog lights with indicators. pretty easy just a bit of trimming on some spare side repeater holders i had kicking about and now all the lights are in one unit, which iwhen tested i must admit looks much cleaner.
  21. Hi all. i have a slight problem. my original Tom's front bumper has been repaired and its just in for spraying. thing is when i got it home i wanted to see where i would put the number plate and indicators. The indicators which where on the toms bumper origianaly are the standard complete orange units. i replaced these with the nice clear ones which have a little space for a side light in it as well. the new ones i got dont seem to fit the toms bumper, they just dont seem to want to sit correctly on it. what would people suggest? i was thinking about just getting some side repeaters and attaching them to the mesh some how. possibly the mx5 clear side repeaters.
