  1. got to agree, that gto just hasnt got the curves (dont get me wrong though i do like them). The supra on the other hand has some great curves and if you think about it, when it came out everything else were a bit square. personaly i think in even todays world the supra MKIV could get away with being a new production car. im sure some would say otherwise though.
  2. thanks for clearing that up for me
  3. How on earth do they get away with selling stuff like that on ebay? its mad, surely they know what it is to be used for. you cant buy a tai bride on there yet you can buy something to steal a car!
  4. Im not going to lie im pretty insulted that you say people who see the vehicle would say its bodged. Everything from the flocked dash to installing the engine, as well as welding the exhaust has been carried out by myself. i have spent 13 months so far on this build, and havent even got to the charger stage yet (that is this winters job) and have currently got it in for bodywork and paint. Now i know these options are not to everyones liking, and by posting up this poll i was going to get comments about a buldge but i am keeping the top secret bonnet and will either raiser or cut it. when i say cut it its not going to be a huge charger sitting out of the bonnet. its the drive pully for the bonnet which would poke out through the bonnet in between the front two vents.
  5. sharpie i cant see any problems at high speed, not with aero locks on
  6. im using an eaton, which will be top mounted,.
  7. no other option with fitting it on the v8
  8. not really an option unless i buy another bonnet which i dont want to do .
  9. The supra is the reason me and my girlfriend of 5 years broke up.... Oh well S*#% happens!
  10. Right peeps, need your opinions. I'll also add a poll to this. Currently got my Top Secret Carbon bonnet on my supra, and with the v8 swap i have done i am looking at adding a supercharger. However slight problem... Its not going to fit under there as it is now. What i am after is opinions on what i should do, should i use the dreaded bonnet spacer/raisers or cut the centre section out for the charger and then re-inforce it underneath. Must admit though not keen on cutting the bonnet up.
  11. as it says in the title really. if anyone has got them please drop me a pm. ta
  12. As above. Don't know it's technical name just know it as the bit that runs along the back of the engine bay / on the edge of the wiper cover. Hope that makes sense. Cheers

    Fluids

I know im being a pain in the ass by not searching but id rather get straight answers instead of reading through a load of other posts. iv got the the stage in the supra rebuild where i need to replace all the fluids. can i please get recommendations on DOT's and DEX's on the following as well as which engine oil is best to use. iv got loads of engine oils in my garage but how much do you want to bet not the right mix. so please could someone answer the list below. Ta Engine oil: Auto Gear box fluid: P/S fluid: brake fluid: Coolant: also if anyone knows how much of each would be even better though i have got a cooler for the autobox and p/s so expect it to be a bit more.
  14. Hi all. I was wondering if anyone could help. The supra is being resprayed in a 2k Jet Black and i was wondering what people thought about dust coating the carbon APR mirrors and Carbon bonnet. Reason i want to do it is because the carbon bonnet has a few marks on it and the mirrors are fading a bit but im not sure on what has to be done to do a dust coating (making the weave only visable on close inspection). A friend of mine is spraying the car for me and wanted to get an idea of what is done to give it a dust coating. such as what needs to be done to the bonnet and mirrors prior to painting. If anyone would be able to give some advice would be great.
  15. cheers jamie, i had a feeling that the one on your v8 was a single. so will be done! how are you liking it so far? jelous about the carbon, i would kill to have some on the v8 project but just dont have that sort of money for it.
  16. So it would be ok to get one made up for a show and drag car then?
  17. Evening all! I was just wondering if anyone could tell me, can u use a single piece prop on a supra? It's just with my v8 swap it seems to be a bit of a nightmare trying to make sure the measurements are right ect to have it shortened due to the measurements for the carrier. Would a single piece prop be ok to use if I got one made up. Far easier just taking one measurement from box to dif. Cheers
  18. Without going to the extreme of wide arch kits (though they do look very lush) i would say the TOM's kit i have on mine (prior to me having to fit the blitz front bumper when the TOM's one was damaged. A straight bolt on job. However iv never seen another one.
  19. Im well aware of the feedback etc but i just wonder how many of them are people who buy it, it arrives and then leave + feedback before actully getting it to a body shop. By all means if they have changed the way they do things fair play, i just wouldnt go back their after basicly trying to be con'd into taking a poorly made bumper back home. I would just say if you can afford a genuine one, get a genuine one.
  20. i must admit it felt a bit trippy watching the steel one bend.
  21. i watched it and thought it was pretty interesting. the whole carbon fibre bit was the best, specially with the prop tests. if i had the cash i would certainly have one on the supra for the v8 swap
  22. sorry to hear dude, i would of loved to if you wasnt so far away. iv been keeping reptiles for about 6 years and have a room dedicated to them. unfortunatly though i dont have a viv big enough and as i say you are a bit of a mission away.
