Thought id put this out there to you all. i havent been on the forum anywhere near as much as i use to be (when i use to have to pay a yearly membership lol!) and wondered if others are the same as me when it comes to working on their cars. I started working on my supra when i first got it, though they were only small basic things. When it came to the V8 conversion i did it all within a couple of weeks including a paint job but then kind of lost interest. At the begining of this year i got back into it, finished it and had it at a few shows. i think i have covered about 1200 miles this year! but now again i have found myself the last couple of months losing interest again and focusing more on building my new house. i did a few new mods to it like removing the rear seats and having it boarded out and re-designed the dashboard but have now desided i want to TT the V8 and go for another respray! I just dont seem to have the motivation to do it! so far i guess iv spent the last 3 1/2 years doing all the conversion etc and just wondering how long others have spent on theirs. Please tell me im not alone!!!!

Yep your right, there not how it is advertised. The seller confirmed these sit over the rubber ones. I have also the front diff ones so can still fit them just need to get the extra rubber one first from Toyota if I want to do all three
-
Cheers. I. Still wondering if these are suppose to sit over the rubber ones though as if you are saying that there is a metal ring that runs round the edge of them then on removing the old ones the space is going to be to big for me to fit these. I think this is a job for when I have a weekend clear!
-
Thanks guys. Very strange, makes me wonder if the mounts I bought are supposed to sit over the rubber ones.
-
Yes very helpful thank you, if I order one from Toyota will it come with the addition steel ring you mention I am missing.
-
Hi guys, hope someone can fill me in on this. Basically I am missin a diff mount (single bolt) which a friend of mine discovered. Now I ordered the alloy ones from eBay but the one that's missing seems to small. Am I missing something else? The other standard one (two bolts looks like there's something else other then the mount like a metal ring. Pics here if that helps

Spot on. Cheers

That's cool it's just the clocks I want to remove. Ta
-
The top panel will be in, I'm talking about the clocks only.
-
May sound like a stupid question but can you run and drive a supra without all the clocks in without any problems. Building new console and just need to know. Ta

lol. anyone is more then welcome to come and have a nose. its extremely tight fit! and the guy who did it who has done all boot builds on every car i have had is 4th gen carpenter. i have sold some of the boot builds in the past seperatly and they have fetched a fair bit of money.

cheers guys, was a really good show and the club i was with put me in a really good spot. it was the first time its really been on show since the conversion was done as fast show was a wash out. i have been asked in the past if i would be interested in being paid to have moulds done for replica's but i like the fact its the only one (well only one im aware of!)

I really need to come on here more often! its been on the road now a couple of months (still with a few teething problems). one of these problems was self inflicted after i decided to paint the cam covers and inlet manifold. now its hunting. i have been told its either an air leak somewhere on the inlet or its the TPS need reseting. I have also decided to start changing the interior (for the 3rd or 4th time) and am having the spare set of dash panels i have wraped in real carbon. i have disovered that since removing the sound system i once had installed that it is pretty impossible to hear the audio system running off of the head unit over the v8 rumble, for that reason that is also coming out and i will be changing all the gauges to some new ones which will go into the old stereo location. The plans are run it this year as it is for a couple of the shows (just come back from BHP where it had huge amounts of attention) and then take it off the road for a color change and i will possibly be starting a Twin turbo setup for it.

And I have seemed to of missed your post. Thanks. The project was finished almost two years ago but due to commitments elsewhere never got round to finishing it. Well three weeks ago it had its first trip out for some photos to be done. Will upload them shortly

Right this needs shifting to make room for the supra in the garage. doesnt get used anymore. it does require a clean up and the lid hinges need putting back on but this is something i will do when i pull it out of the corner it is currently in. it has got some spray paint on the lid and ill try to get this off also. at a guess id say it is 475lt. now this was originally up for £70 at work but want it shifted so will take £35. Ta.

Dificulties with call of duty MW3 hardened edition and Cod elite
fruity_south replied to fruity_south's topic in Off Topic
thanks guys, all of them seem to work again now apart from one of the theme ones you get in the intel pack. it still doesnt like the code they email you after you enter the code on the card on there website. oh well wont loose sleep over a theme pack. -
a very early morning to you all. i was one of those sad people who qued outside gamestation to be one of the first to get MW3 at midnight last night and since getting it home iv had nightmares trying to set up the premium membership which you get free for a year with the hardened edition. is it just me? iv set up an elite account, linked it to my ps3 account but cant redeem the elite token code on the back of the booklet, nor one of the codes in the intel pack i got extra. both codes come up as out of date or inncorrect. bit worried seeing as you have until the 13th november to upgrade and i dont seem to be able to do it. any advice?

Evening all. Its been a while since iv been on here now the evenings have got colder but i need some advice and i always seem to get the right sort of answer on hear. iv been given a computer which i want to shrink down to a smaller box. basicly making my own box like i did when i was a kid. but with technology moving on so much i was wondering if i could make it smaller by using something like this as a psu. the computer would only be used to watch the odd film and will include two hard drives and no cd rom. heres a link to the psu, even if its not the right one if someone could point me in the right direction would be good. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-ITX-Car-PC-Power-Supply-PSU-Board-DC-DC-12V-120W-/300561293594?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item45fad9611a the motherboard is this one: http://www.computerparts-hardware.com/china-desktop_motherboard_use_for_hp_dc7200_dx7208_dc7600_mt_945g_375376_001_395430_001-112402.html

Well i hope theres some clever people online this evening as got a slight problem. let me run through what happened and what i know so far. picked my v8 supra up from the mot station and on the way home on acceleration suddenly died on me. revs dropped to 0 and all that was working was the usual radio lights etc. ended up having to call for the recovery people and whiles waiting had a look over the car. no leaks or anything like that so i checked all the fuses, all were fine. tried starting it up again and the car is getting fuel and air. after getting recovered home i checked the spark plugs which turned out are not getting any spark from. now these are new sparks and leads and rotor arms were replaced when i did the swap so surely if it was a dodgy lead, spark or cap that it would at least try to fire.... two days before the mot the imobiliser was playing up so i took out the scorpion alarm etc and know that was fine as was able to drive the 5 miles to the mot station and got three miles back. thought maybe where i had reconnected the old wire that that could of come loose but turns out they havent. any ideas guys cos im running out of them.
-
Cheers shane. the charger does sound tempting though this project has cost me so much im not sure if im going to go down that route. however drop me a price via pm and ill take it into serious consideration ;-)
-
Car past its MOT today so all i need to do is tax it and shes on the road. well pleased!
-
welcome to the v8 club mate
-
+1 on the v8 swap. cost less then going turbo if you do it yourself.

My scorpion alarm has decided to start playing silly buggers. dont know why just randomly. When the battery is connected the alarm goes off when i put the key in ignition it goes off but the red led is on and i cant turn anything on. when i remove the key the alarm starts beeping which gets louder and louder. if i press the button to turn it off on the fob it does nothing. help please!!!
