  1. Bells and Teachers are quite bad on their own compared to a decent single malt. You should try something that isn't blended and costs more than £20 a bottle and you might find your perceptions of whisky change a bit And yes the 18 year old Glenlivet is a very nice whisky to drink, Glenlivet is probably one of my favourite brands as I find the 12 year old, 15 year old and the 18 year old all reasonably priced and very tasty
  2. The only triple malt I've heard of is Monkeys Shoulder (which incidentally is very nice), are there others? Why can't you stand scotch? Because there is a huge variety in taste from all the different regions, i.e. I can't stand peaty malts, which some people love, so I tend to stick to the lighter malts which are easier to drink
  3. I tend to use Bepanthen on mine and they start to flake in about 5-6 days and are fully healed in about 10-12 days. I usually switch to moisturiser after a week of healing In terms of pain, I am in the process of getting a full leg sleeve, the bottom half is done (back of knee was bad) but I have just had the top of my inner thigh done (about 3" from the crown jewels ) and boy did that hurt, not looking forward to having the background all coloured in

    White tt on A47

I saw a white one as well at the traffic lights by harford tescos on sunday, black wheels and what looked like a top secret bumper??
  5. Haha yeah, in terms of engine stuff I can see you point, but I'm always left with trim clips or screws when I'm removing/re-installing my interior stuff, and never seem to find a place for it or find bits hanging off, so I don't worry about it!
  6. My outlook on things I find in my car is that if the car still works.... it can't be that important!
  7. I feel privileged that I have one in my car. I never use it though but it's good to know it's quite rare! GLWS
  8. I got one of those threads in the middle as well, I assumed that is what kept it all together
  9. You'd be very surprised at the mark up funeral directors charge for a coffin.... In my experience, a lot more people nowadays are wising up and buying their own, or going for cardboard ones (for 'green' burials). Not sure if it's a sign of less money available or just more awareness of being eco-friendly
  10. Hmmm can't remember seeing a carbon bonnet, unless you haven't got it on at the mo?

    Newbie from Norwich

Hello (again!), hope to see you around maybe at some meets
  12. Drove past you outside the Shell petrol station about 7pm last night, looked pretty nice
  13. I'll take them if Slicknick doesn't have them
  14. I'll try to get to one of the meets at some point, keep forgetting to check this section! (Rob you need to PM me if you sort anything out as I'm useless at remembering things lol)
  15. I have a friend who's had it done and she went to Optimax as she was advised against going to a more 'high street' kind of set up (i.e. the ones that normally say "from £395 per eye"). Cost her about £3000 with them but she can pay it monthly interest free, she went from about -3 to 20/20 vision. I was actually recommended by my optician to go to one at a Bupa near me as one of the consultant ophthalmologists runs a private clinic doing it, but that is around £1700 per eye. I would love to have it done but I'm going to try contacts first for a while to see how I get on with them. I'm -6 so it costs a bomb to get thinned out lenses all the time so it'd be worth it in the long run. The only thing you need to remember is that you should wait for your prescription to settle down, otherwise you can have it done and then still need to wear glasses at some point in the future. I think mine has almost settled down (after about 24 years of wearing glasses since I was 4) so I would seriously consider laser eye treatment when I'm 30
  16. Wow, just watched one of their videos and it does look like awesome stuff, the bit where he screws it up then unfolds it and it's perfectly flat.... wierd Think I might get some of this, quite cheap really. What size do you need to completely do the front and rear lights?
  17. Saw it parked outside the mill inn yesterday, was there all evening (but i think the pub is closed which is wierd!)
  18. I personally have only used Airport Car Care up near the airport when I had my prelude sprayed. They were the cheapest and I know people say cheap = nasty but I never had any probs with it in 2 years of having it. They did a full respray in black with silver and blue pearl, and smoothed all my badges out for £1500. If you want a bodyshop familiar with 'modifying' as opposed to general resprays, there is Specialist in Design up Yarmouth, they were knocking out a few Max Power cars a while back and do lots of custom stuff too. There is also H-Tech Styling up on the Vulcan Road industrial estate. I have also heard good things about Dereham Resprays, I've seen a green prelude they did and it was flawless. I just drove around about 5 bodyshops one day to get an idea about what they could do and get some quotes, then went with the ones that I was happiest with.
  19. I love Florida, I've been 3 times as a kid and 3 times with my missus (and even got engaged and married there too!), I am biased towards Disney though.... whilst the Universal parks and Seaworld are still awesome parks, we do spend more time at Disney. You're gonna be hard pushed to fit it all in as others have said.... we still do new stuff each year and we've had a total of 7 weeks there already in the past 3 years Busch Gardens has some awesome coasters (Montu is prob my favourite I've ever been on) there are some more crazy coasters at Universal Islands of Adventure, and Disney has more family type coasters, if that's your thing. We tend to spend more time just enjoying the scenery so to speak as we like that sort of thing. I'd seriously recommend you spending a few quid on some guide books - the Unofficial Guide to Disneyworld and the Unofficial Guide to Beyond Disney (both by Bob Sehlinger et al), they are my bible when it comes to planning my trips.
  20. The sensor detects sunlight as already said. The reason is because although you have an internal temperature sensor to ensure the climate control keeps the cabin of the car pretty much the same temp, if the sunlight increases suddenly it may take a while for the internal temp sensor to detect this change (whilst you are feeling very hot behind glass in the sun!) so the sunlight sensor is a second backup sensor in a way and it increases the air-con in the car to lower the temp. The con-light is an automatic headlight turning on feature that some cars got from the options list (I've got one), so if you press the button on top it should turn the headlights on when it gets dark enough. The button on the side turns on the sidelights (this is all from memory so it's best to test it at night to see what button really does what!!!)
  21. I've already pm'd parry about this but I got mine on ebay, there are loads of universal ones out there for around £30 and then just trim to fit and either screw or fibreglass it to the existing trim, paint or cover in material and job done. I love mine
  22. I did the same, gromet above and to the left of the ecu (very hard to see from the engine bay though, so I went from inside the car first then found where it came out by removing the wing). I had to take the wing and arch off as I was using 0 gauge cable which is stupidly thick, but if you are using 4 or 8 gauge you shouldn't have a prob
  23. I've got a huge microfibre drying towel but any microfibre should do it. Never use chamois as it'll drag any particles you may have missed all over the paintwork
  24. I've only got Dodo's Banana Armour but used on a black car it works wonders on that (although I prefer a soft wax as I don't like applying hard waxes, but I got offered it cheap so snapped it up) I am a chemical guys fanboy though so would recommend them as well (concours 50/50 or Petes 53 for around the same price range) The amount of hype about Dodo on detailing world shows they must be doing something right though with their products.
  25. Having a silver ek civic as my daily driver, i am ultra jealous to see something like that!!
