  1. Wasn’t being out of order mate. Personally I would have it built with the oversized pistons then sell it I have two engines sat there in pieces doing nothing and had people offer me peanuts for and they can sit there until they are back together as will be worth more.
  2. To me it’s a big risk splashing out 1.5k on something that’s an unknown quantity and is already damaged. Yes the seller is being very honest but still it’s a gamble. Obviously just what I think and if people are paying that sort of money that can only be a good thing for all of us
  3. Thanks mate, only doing the lenses on these as a temporary measure so they can go to the body shop for alignment of the bumper. Got some facelift ones you can work some magic on
  4. Probably £500 due to its current condition. Would probably be better off selling the head separately or having the work done with oversized pistons then selling it
  5. Iv also sat and had a look at my lights and thought I would give them a freshen up as they are cloudy as hell. This is temporary as I will have some inserts put in at some point. So before
  6. You may have seen my post in the technical section yesterday about the rear bench. I wanted to paint/ powder coat the hinges. Upon further investigation after being told they are part of the seat frame I decided to strip the whole bench and get it powder coated
  7. Will do mate, I may even stand and watch him do it
  8. Not yet, Iv tried but I have a habit of breaking things especially brittle electrical clips I’m going to take it to a upholstery guy to take the rest of it off as I don’t want to buy another one
  9. Only hard bit is getting the frame out of the foam at the top
  10. Exactly what I thought as soon as I took the ply off I was looking at it thinking nope, I can’t have that there so it’s coming off and being powder coated
  11. It does look that way, was hoping it could just unbolt
  12. Sorry to bother you wise lot again but the hinges on my rear bench look terrible so I would like to remove them and get them treated and powder coated. But how do I remove them?
  13. Oh yeah right I have a pre facelift to. Will grab pics in a bit
  14. And she is off to get painted at DB paint go check them out https://www.facebook.com/DB-Paint-449274315220250/
  15. I mean I can probably come with my mate in his rs5. But I’m also working on mine. Just went to paint today
  16. Thanks mate, yes it is ceramic coating I’m looking at. Looked at a few and possibly thinking about getting a pro to do it but then again they are brand new so should be pretty straight forward to do. Yeah I understand the wheel weights may not adhere to the wheel if I do it before tyres and weights, top point
  17. Going to get them protected before they get put on. Going to have a hunt around and see what’s best
  18. There’s a strong possibility that after 8 years of it being off the road and dismantled it could be from something else
  19. Also some epic news, the CCW’s arrived today
