  1. Plus, I'm technically dumb so forgive the question obvioulsy the intercooler is pretty important, but does a bit (or even quite a lot) of damage affect it much? I imagine its quite a thick block, plus after a short but quite spirited drive it was cold to the touch, so it seems like its not used all that much? Either that or takes along time to get hot
  2. Straighten them? I think id be there for a year the front ones (is that right? are there multiple layers or just one wide layer?) have disintegrated under the might of the pressure washer in the red highlighted areas, in the other areas its just bendy, though they are so fragile! I never really knew, just press them lightly and they bend....
  3. Just wondering if anyone had any advice, I was using a power washer today and didn't realize how powerful it actually wash until it hit my intercooler, its not done loads of damage but a bit, though id post some pics (phone cam im afraid) and see what people think, I reckon its fine but thought Id ask. Its hard to see with the pics, its only gone through the front meshing bits in the places ive marked in red, all other bits the front mesh is fine but just bent or dented in places.
  4. I have the bubbling problem with my rad, I've read its the cap - if you think your cap might fix it I'll gladly have it
  5. Good shout but I saw the problem when I was with my prospective buyer, I cant figure how they would make this mistake, but the mileage they put on is the same as the last 6 characters of my VIN, so they weren't making it out of thin air at least....its not an import either, UK car, which is a reason I'm annoyed as UK celiac's are worth more! The garage tell me they can issue a cover note, but cant do much about the MOT so it will still come up as clocked on car checks.
  6. Well, just got a buyer for my Celica on Sunday, they loved the car and were about to purchase when they saw my MOT certs, bear in mind that my car has done 77k, the last MOT read 123k! All the certs from MOTs, service etc before that went steadily up, the service 3 months before said 70k, so I'd done a lot of motoring in 3 months apparently! Obviously a mistake, so there I was looking like a crook who'd clocked the car, thankfully there was a gas analysis sheet with the MOT which did have the correct mileage on, so the buyer seemed to beleive me but still wouldn't buy with that as an issue - who could blame them? So rang VOSA the next day, got a very unhelpful t**t who said nothing could be done, didn't sympathize with me whatsoever, when I said "great, so now all online car checks are going to register the car has been clocked when the next MOT gets done" his response was "oh those checks aren't very accurate anyway" - I don't bleedin care how accurate they are! People use them and they are going to now make people think my lovely Celica is a load of arse. I was told to get a new MOT and thats all that can be done, that fixes nothing. So then I rang the regional testing station that VOSA gave me, they gave me the wrong regional station but I asked them what to do, they said ring garage, rang the garage who said bring it in so I did - garage tried to change it, couldn't, they took it to regional station, they couldn't either. According to VOSA and all the testing stations its too old (I was quoted 3 different timeframes - 7 days, 10 days and 1 month, so they obviously know nothing of what they are on about). So now the garage are having to chase VOSA, they said that they can't give an estimate of time as VOSA aere very slow, and they don't hold out much hope of getting it changed. End result, a test that is required by law has probably devalued my car, and made selling it quite a lot harder for me and anyway down the line and the people who should be able to sort it don't give a cr*p. The motto of this is - check your MOT mileage after its been done, because beleive me you don't want to have to deal with VOSA and their ridiculous policies.
  7. lol, so they have to stand still and not have any fun?
  8. So what can spectators do? I've read that they can be restricted to certain bits @ pod, so just wondering
  9. Out of interest, do many people who go have stock cars? I'm totally stock, so I'm assuming would get shafted by the big nasty men lol
  10. I never got a 2500, went for the 3000's, they were cheaper then I buggered the IOS on one and had to rely on tftp boot cus it had hardly any flash, D'oh!
  11. I don't know the law but I'd be interested, there is a guy with a crosser near us, and without a joke you can hear it (I'm guessing) about a kilometre away, so you can imagine what the stupid thing sounds like coming down our road. I just don't get people with ridiculous exhausts like that, I think its extremely inconsiderate.
  12. 59% Geek I'm disappointed, thought I was more than that!
  13. Chow yun fat! Whatever.... must have been a bad picture
  14. Sorry didnt see that post, yeh I have no idea why I put it here tbh...guess I didnt see the parts section, doh!
  15. front seat belts wanted, would like them to be new but second hand good quality (they must retract fast and stay taught when not being used, like youd expect!). Not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm in a 96 facelift RZ-S TT. cheers!
  16. oh my lord, everyone else has said it, this is total arse. thats not even 12 years, ill get 5 years of finance free enjoyment from the supe then, assuming i dont have to sell the hosue to go 10 miles in it....
  17. yeh I might be up for selling in a month or two
  18. I didn't know there was a difference to be honest, its currently fitted to a TT though, seems fine to me! Just to let people know, sorry for the slightl mess around but I have found that a Tanabe is a bit too much for me to buy new right now, so that means I'nm only really interested in exchanges for a Tanabe, which I doubt will happen, but I can try
  19. SEE POST 4 BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER! I'm considering selling my NUR Spec R, I would like to have a Tanabe Medallion Touring instead so a swap would be preferable. I bought my Supe from Boot3yzsupra, he only had the Exhaust fitted for a few months, and I've only just bought his car so its almost brand new, VGC. If you don't want to exchange I can take offers...I think £350 is about right? Offer me if you don't agree
  20. I might consider selling my NUR Spec R, its very new, only a few months old, in very good condition - if anyone wants to offer me feel free, I'd have to source a tanabe medallion touring first before I sell (swap quite welcome if the medallion is in good nick)

    Bye, I'm off

I'm not sure if thats a genuine comment, I dunno what people have against pointless threads, they are a good laugh - loosen up everyone!
  22. Same, thought it was buggered! Put some force on it too thinking it was me... :S
