  1. Reckon we should suggest a 'Name and Shame' section on Jap UK Meets for the *ickheads bombing up and down the road. ........It's that sort of 'behaviour' that will stop future meets. Al.

  6. I had this too Lovatt.....exactly the same(different bird i think! ) Take off the door card, unplug the wiring that goes to the key barrel, you'll see the multi-plug about 7 inches below the key lock. This will make your central locking button work correctly every time! It will also work correctly with the keyfob, what you will of unpluged is the key switching for the central locking on the key barrel, which is not really needed with a remote.Let me know if this works for you. Al.
  7. Branners Paul Matt (cos he's always up for it!) Snowman Ashley (throw a sickie) B3any Dave Peter Gareth B3any Steve Peter niloc Earthrokka Dude G Willson Roy Supra Al.(hopefully)
  8. I have a similar prob, when going over 100mph, the Red warning triangle would flash on, at the same time the 'door open' symbol . Bit worrying at first, but i found the alarm bonnet pin was set too high so would come on with the slightest 'lift' at speed of the bonnet. It was also stopping the 2nd catch from engaging proberly.Bit of adjustment and all is fine.....both catches engage! P.S. Just a bit of useless info. At work, we are always told to 'drop' the bonnet, rather than push down on the panel, which may deform the rubbishy thin Honda bonnets Do this to all my cars now with no probs. Al.
  9. Welcome Chris!........................they really are a nice bunch on here....honestly. Al. My car BTW.
  10. Oppps.....sorry, yes my in box was full, i've now sorted it.Haven't had an e-mail? Yes, i remember now, you had strange noises/knocking. Their was somebody on here that done an N/A engine change, theirs cost £700 2nd hand from Japan.....then fitting of course. If it ever happens to me (hope not) then i will do the job myself.Al.
  11. ........what happened to your N/A engine?? I thought these units were quite strong/reliable. Al.
  12. Rob, yes we are currently building 550 CRV's a day, the large majority are going to the States. Al. Thanks Matt & Chris for shedding some light on the clutch switch.Al.
  13. Hi Chris, i understand what you mean about for the US market. As we build CRV's US spec at work. Quote: When you say disconnected, do you meant there is a piece of wiring for it hanging nearby, or is there just a switch, but no apparent piece of loom near it? Ans; Yes there is just a switch with no visable loom to connect it?? Al.
  14. I was looking at the foot pedals and noticed that on the clutch pedal lever, there is a switch just like the one for the foot brake which i know is for the brake lights. Just a guess...........is this for when you put the car in reverse you get a beep? BTW my switch is disconnected.....and i don't have a beep! Al.
  15. .......that sounds an expensive hunt for a 'squeak'! Couldn't you just turn the stereo up a tad? (cheaper option) Al.
  16. Hi, if it's any use and you stay standard, i've got a almost new 255/40/17 for sale @ £40? Al.
  17. A small adhesive 'sticky' pad WILL stop this rattle instantly.Cut to shape and fitted to the tailgate stops. This has been my temp repair for 6 months now! Al.
  18. I checked with an MOT friend, who says, if an import (mine is) and the cats are removed, then it will have a non cat test.Al.
  19. I used T-cut on my black Supra, just use a cloth by hand.Never had a problem with it.Only if you go 'heavy' with it you can run into problems. Al.
  20. My N/A from cold fast idles at about 1800rpm, then drops off to under 1000 (800 i think). What is the case with your cars,is mine working normally? (N/A Supras) Al.
  21. Your car is black,so i'd just use very well fitting grommets.Al.
  22. .......seriously, how does it affect the handling? You don't have to be going 150 leptons.Even 50 mph you must notice something?..............front wheels coming off the ground maybe? Al.
  23. Just changed my airfilter too...........looked very similar:conf: Al.
  24. .....OK,IMO the spoiler looks terrible.I know Supras can get away with a wild spoiler, but yours to me looks out of place. It seems too big, and too high off the boot lid. What on earth does that do to the aerodynamics at speed? Sorry to sound negative,as i said this is only my opinion, and you asked for opinions,if you like it then fine.Regards Al.
  25. Had this on mine too...........all i done for a quick measure was to fix a sticky pad to the upper stopper!!. Done this 6 months ago,and still perfect and quiet!! Al.
