    N/A brakes

Mos, although this is no help at pin-pointing your problem, just to say that there are tons of N/A brakes out there 2nd hand,as people have 'up graded' their brakes. I had a problem with mine, sourced some parts through Leon, very reasonable prices and plentyful! Al.
  4. .......top day out, superb cars everywhere. Al.

    Torque

Adam, great explanation on Torque, Al.
  6. I'm going for sure! My mate and i are going together,i'm taking the Supra he's taking his Celica WRC GT4,we are meeting up with a load of other Celics owners:( .......then on to Coombe. Keep an eye out for me,as i may be parked in a group of Celicas, Reg J666 SUP. Al.(Oh, i'll be the one with the skin head)
  7. Usman, yes it's quite easy to fit and i didn't have to remove the front bumber.Mesh can be cut with a good pair of scissors to size, then i 'tacted' it in place using little blobs of JB weld adhesive, which i then coloured black when dry. Originally i tried a few different adhesives, which broke at high speeds:innocent: Al.
  8. Hey Snowman, i'm very interested in the clears too mate. Can you let me know how you get on? Al.

    Torque

Ok Ashley, are you sitting patiently, legs crossed, i'll explain...... Read this, and all will be clear!! Al. http://www.car-videos.com/articles/horsepower_torque.asp
  10. Hi Bobbeh..............have fitted the cutout with black coated mesh.I brought it in the 'Ripspeed' department at Halfrauds.Cost about £20, enough to do a couple of sups, see pic below, sorry about the quality, but it was p*ssing down! Al.
  11. Scott, Hi.........are you actually going to fit the front active spoiler to work? Or are you fitting it for looks? I see you have an NA like myself, i brought an active spoiler, but only used the rubber lip, as the rest of the ali frame etc, add far too much weight imo.Very easy to fit the lip only for looks, with hardly any extra weight.See pic below, regards Al.
  12. I've fitted black mesh in mine, as i do not want a large stone hitting my A/C rad!! Al.
  13. Cheers Matt,very interesting page.Now saved. Al.
  14. .....Hi Craig, i guess your keeping your Sup now? Al.
  15. ......thanks guys, i really should look more closely!! .....yes, i've found the other 'lower' bolt and the h/light is now out!! P.S. It does help to put masking tape on the bumper to avoid scratches when pulling the lamp forward. Oh......don't bend your thumbnail back like me!! oh the pain! Al.
  16. Firstly, i've used the search button:D , but still can not locate the 3 bolts. I can see the 1 obvious bolt,i can see the 'awkward' 10mm by the wing.Where is the other?......i'll go outside and check again. Is there any diagrams/pics to show location area of the 3 bolts? BTW....the drivers side lamp is the one i'm taking out.Al.
  17. QUOTE]Originally posted by JCresswell Cool, Thanks for your help guys, Think ill look for the filter cleaner first, then if not petrol, Thanks Again .....Petrol, leaded, unleaded or super unleaded? Al.
  18. .....Thanks Bobbeh,a bit more wind in each then. Thanks Al.
  19. I was unfortunate last night to get a cross head screw in my new rear tyre Thought the car seemed to 'wobble' a bit on the way home!.............just had it repaired. What is the correct pressure for a UK TT rear standard size tyre 255/40/17 as i had to guess at 32 psi.......anyone. Al.
  20. That's a new one on me............thanks. Al.
  21. ..........ohhh, nasty Paul.Give Prestige Paint a call, they are in Sheppard street, the old railway works by the 147 snooker club, they normally do a good job. Al.
  22. Hi Asim, i too have an N/A, is your car de-catted as i've heard it makes around 10-15 bhp increase?? Al.
  23. Terminator.......i once used 0W 40 oil in my cossie too, and it went from an occasional 'tap' to a 'bag of nails', too thin for the crude pinto me thinks! Al.

    Stoned

Use Jenolite to remove the rust, this is like a gel substance that you put on the chip, leave for ten mins then wipe off, rust gone! Next use a primer on the chip, allow to dry, then 'touch up' with your colour, using 2 or 3 coats to 'fill' the chip. When hardened, it can be carefully cut back (T-Cut)......no more developing rust. Silver BTW is one of the hardest to match/touch up, base colours such as red, black, white and darker colours generally the easiest to touch up/paint match. Al. P.S. Jenolite is available from Halfrauds( ) and most other motor factors.
