  1. .....I put Recaro seats in my XR3i..........and yes the car did seem to be faster, oh and economy improved as well. Al.
  2. Basically, you pull the seat base 'upwards' and it unclips. Al.
  3. Just wondering...........how much does it cost for the facelift rear light units? Al.
  4. ......i had exactly the same squeak on mine from what you have described. It was coming from the release arm joint area under the rubber boot.Just jack up the car front left, fit an axle stand, pull off the boot.I used 'spray grease' with the straw type attachment to get the grease on the exact spot.Get someone to depress the clutch a few times as you spray, job done. Al.
  5. Thomas, have you read this yet? Al. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9393
  6. I know it may sound strange.....but it could be your tailgate rubbers 'knocking'. Had this problem myself like most others on this Board, it really does sound like it's a suspension noise.I even had a mate lay in the stripped out boot looking for the noise as you describe! A quick temp fix, that will not cost any cash, is to fit a sticky pads to the top mount rubbers. As i said i had this and it drove me mad! Worth a try,....give it a go. Al.
  7. Same as,cardboard template as it saves alot of hassle. Al.
  8. Use copperslip rather than grease on sliders.Recently refurbed my front calipers/sliders on my N/A. Al.
  9. .............DOT 5.1 recently done in mine.....glad i got the correct grade! As for the garage concerned,i'm shocked! Heavy handedness probably:devil: Hope you can get them to sort it out. Al.
  10. What do you think of that?.......expensive!! Al.
  11. I now have 18" alloys, i'm not 100% sure on what tyre pressure i should use? Fronts 245/40/18 and rears 265/35/18. ATM i have them at 36 psi all round? Al.
  12. ......Have 18" F1's on mine, they handle beautifully! Al.
  13. ......'PP' had me scratching my head also:looney: Al.
  14. I personally would not fear a 'higher' mileage Supra..........as long as you have a good service record, and have the car inspected. You have to remember the Supra has a 3.0 litre engine and a well engineered one at that! more than capable of gobbling up 100K.I've seen loads of 1.8 engines that are up around the 150-200K, so i'm pretty sure our Supra engines if cared for will surpass this with ease:) There IS a 'mental' 100k barrier out there, where people tend to think that an engine is 'tired' after this mileage, so take advantage and get a bargain supercar!! Al.
  15. Mos, i believe you also have an N/A, not sure if it makes any difference from a TT as the block etc/basics are similar. How you have described it,is exactly the same as mine and 2 other N/A's i have tried from cold.......just a characteristic of the car i believe.Oil light coming on when warm or idling, yes get it checked quickly!! Al.
  16. I've recently upgraded to 18" alloys with correct Supra fitment(no spacers) these are fitted with Goodyear F1's.The car drives smoother and quieter than ever before, with no vibration at all (100 leptons max so far)......i know i'll be staying with F1's.Al.
  17. My oil light doesn't go out instantly.Have checked with a couple of other N/A owners and theirs too is the same. This is ONLY cold starting, when starting at other times it goes out straight away! I use 10/40w oil, changed at 3k intervals. I work at Honda in Swindon, and this is not an uncommon thing. Our diesel civic......remember they are brand new......when started cold, take up to 4 secs to lose the oil light! I also had an MR2, that too took 1 to 2 secs for the light to go out, so if yours is similar, still get it checked but i wouldn't worry too much. Can others, give it a go on a cold start, to compare?? Al.
  18. .........oops, not looking good i'm afraid! Good luck! Al.
  19. Hey Tom, amazing piece of kit you have there! When you are set up correctly:devil:,are you going to visit us in the UK at any of the future venues??.......if so, i will be there! *cough* 'Hand up for a ride in the passenger seat' Al.
  20. Sounds like a good turnout, has anyone got any pics?? Al.
  21. ..............I'm not going,i haven't got any wheels.I sold them:looney: Doesn't look quite the same on blocks. Al.
  22. Ok, i heard they were interchangable? Al.
