  1. I think mine sits slightly lower that a 'fixed down' act spoiler........i have no trouble on any speed bumps around here.Al.
  2. .....mines down all the time, because i just fitted the lip to my N/A.It looks so much better than just the standard bumper.Al.

  4. .......just got back from the MOT, i now have just over a years MOT:cool: Al.
  5. You must use a light only for what it was designed for. So technically i shouldn't use my J spec inner brake light as a fog! ......but i will............for MOT that is. Al.
  6. A twin bank of injectors are used on the Sierra RS500, although they were never plumbed in from factory for road use. Al.
  7. ..lol Just booked my MOT via the phone.Wed 2nd July @ 11.45,.....i think due to the short timescale,i'll adjust my brakelights back to fog. Thanks for your kind offer and help. P.S. My MOT guy is very 'friendly' (I don't mean in a sexual way!!)Al. I'll let you know how i get on.
  8. Apparantly it is illegal to use a light designed as a fog lamp, to be used as a brake light.I know this because i got stopped by an 'eagle eyed' traffic cop some years back.(not in a supra) I suppose it depends on a cops knowledge with the supra, ie Jap spec, UK spec. Al.
  9. Result Paul! ..........ain't it nice when they come to their senses? Al.
  10. MOT is in about 10 days time, so i like to put it in earlier, hopefully this week.Does the bulb show a 'strong' red or that pinky red? Thanks for your help, i am in Swindon,Wilts (M4), what i might do now is unwire the twin J spec brake lights, and put the inner ones to fog again as i have already got the wiring there. Then i'll return it back to twin brake, after the MOT:p I don't mind coverting a reverse light to fog permantly, but there doesn't seem to be a perfect bulb out there? Many thanks again for your help, Al.
  11. Thanks for that Mr Faithstalker...........saved me wasting money on the LED, as you say it will sit in the holder 'upwards' so would be no good. I'm still not having any luck as ABC will not sell their red bulbs to the public ,There is no local supplier to me either! How stupid is that, all i want is a red 21W bulb. *Stamps feet* Al.
  12. Will order tomorrow, let you know if they are any good. Al.
  13. Ah!...............this may be of use to others on this board. http://www.espdesign.co.uk/udp.asp?cat=14&subcat=&make=&model=&udp=581
  14. Cheers Steve......tried painting a bulb today......not good:( ,looks like i will be buying one of those LED bulbs. Al.
  15. Good on you Paul...........don't listen to their BS. Al.
  16. Thankyou, where did you get such a bulb?Is it an LED type?...if i manage to get an MOT pass type bulb,i'd probably leave it in. Al.
  17. Early July i have my Sup MOT.......thing is, ATM i have no fog lamp.Yes no big problem i know, but i want to wire the r/h/s rear reverse lamp to be the fog lamp.I have the wiring to an illuminated switch so no probs......all i have to do now is find a red bulb .AFAIK you can't get one, so i tried painting a bulb.It wasn't very bright and rather 'pink'. Is there a glass paint that i can use?......also heard that you can buy an LED red bulb? Any input would be useful. Al.
  18. Out of curiousity........how much are they? Al.
  19. Then save your money, and give it the waxoyl treatment. Al.
  20. ........Is yours actually 'rusty'??? We are talking Toyota here! ........Mine never had any blistering, otherwise i would of got a bodyshop to sort. As said, it tends to 'discolour' first,.....not talking about 'crunchy' rust! Al.
  21. The spray tin has an extension nozzle, like WD 40.Easy! Al.
  22. I'm using F1's and i'm very happy with wet /dry performance over other tyres i've had on the soop. Al.
  23. This is a very common AFAIK, mine's not rusty as such but did look a bit discoloured. What i done was to spray the area you mention with black 'Waxoyl'.As my car is black anyway, you cannot see any discolouration, job done. If you are concerned with yours, and it's not 'rusty' as such, you could do the same. You can buy it in 'clear' as well, from past use i know this stuff to be superb and provides a water proof coating from the elements.Al. P.S. Waxoyl, is available from Halfrauds and most other motor shops from around £6.00 (spray on tin) Edited due to poor spelling.
