  1. Thanks for your reply Neil, lots of views but not many replies!!.....is it because i is a BM driver now?? There must be a few others out there with this or similar unit? Al.
  2. Hi guys due to my recent scare/possible fine, i'm seriously looking into buying one of these.I know a few guys on here possibly had a 'group buy' on one of the makes?I need a unit that is NOT hardwired into my car,as i drive one of 2 cars. Can anyone give me advice on which unit to buy,how the units perform etc,are they worth the money?I'd want a laser detector too. Many thanks Al.
  3. ..........nooooooooooooooooooo!! God, i hate that when that happens! Al.
  4. ..........And they say it's economical!!! http://www.bath.ac.uk/~ccsshb/12cyl/
  5. I'd say the rear tyre pressure was low too, causing it to blow out on the carriageway.........i had a partly deflated tyre a while back, but didn't notice it as the tyre was low profile, car felt i bit 'strange' on the way home, luckily i checked pressures and found it as the tyre didn't appear nearly flat. Al.
  6. ......I've do this before! easy, you need a 'long' reach 10mm socket to get onto the nuts, undo them and you will understand how it comes out. There is a couple of brackets that pinch the LED in place. The LED strip can then be removed from the outside! Al.
  7. ......up to your bonnet Chris!!!!!!!! I'm surprised your car is still running!......not sure if it's a good idea to have your cats quenched (if you have any) by water while running? Did any water get into your car? Sorry, i'm no help on the 'clunk' issue, just suprised at the depth of water you traversed.Al.
  8. Darren, i spoke to the site security while people were queuing to get out.I memorised his map for the exit which puts you out of the gate and onto the A45. Had some wierd looks for the campers!Paul Y3k and myself, got out in under 5 mins without stopping! Nice to spend a bit of time with you Darren, see you again.Al.
  9. Firstly, a big thankyou to Branners for organising .Had a great day, shame i missed the convoy into Billing.......... i took a 'little' detour north on the M1 up to 17:( .Managed to catch up in the park though (shortcut across the mud).I've honestly never seen so many Supras together:cool:, took a few pics that will be filtered onto the BB no doubt. Great to put faces to names. Brain Duff & Angie (again) Mark Kindell & Donna (again) Paul E (again:) ) Darren Blake Ian C (mad!) Paul Y3K ( ....putting up with my directions) Terminator (busy remapping) Dude Mcanny(thanks for the keyring) Roboldham (TV celeb) Branners....(thanks for the mag) Lust2luv (again) Plus lots of others that escape my short memory. After Saturdays rain,we had the weather on our side, which was a bonus.Shame the parking was messed up as we had a massive turnout. Who was the guy doing the group shoot? Is it for a mag or for us to buy?I might of just about got in it.............as i was at the front, Al.
  10. Hi Lust, exactly the same happened to me with my clifford on my Cosworth. As Matt has said it's the sirens internal back up battery that is failing for some reason............how old is it? Al.
  11. Mos thanks, glad i'm not the only one! When you spray it,does this stop it for a while? What is it called, the stuff you use? Al.
  12. Hi, welcome to the board firstly! I have 18" alloys on mine. 9 J front with 245/40/18's 10 J rear with 265/35/18's I have no probs with them and the drive is an improvement on stock wheels. Have a word with 'Ibrar' on this site as he is an expert on various wheels/sizes/fitment. Al.
  13. The auto tensioner for my auxilary belt 'creaks'.Hard to explain as the engine revs from idle, there is a split second 'creak' as the engine loads the belt. With the engine off,if you push down on the belt you can make the tensioner creak.Has anyone else had this? Will i eventually have to buy another,if so how much are they? Can i remove it (if so how) and grease it up? Al.
  14. Had mine regased today by a guy at my works. He's a refridgerant engineer on the side;) Cost £20 cash.....nice and cool.He will do anyones through me for the same price.Available in the Swindon area.Al.
  15. That's the High pressure cap for the air con. Al. Temp sensor will definately be under the front bumper where it will be shielded from the outside air flow ,or it will pick up a windchill reading. It is probably near something that is hot or warm now, during the IC fitment. Al.
  16. ............oil change done today.Nice genuine Toyota filter, £8 and GTX Magnetec 10w/40. Al
  17. I believe a car is designed from the wheels/suspension upwards? So if designed with a bigger 'J' on the rear, why change the balance? If you compromise Toyotas design then handling and steering would have an adverse effect. Al.
  18. .....well i haven't done my oil change yet as it's too damn hot, which is making me feel very lazy:D Not the weather for lying on my back getting dirty! Al.
  19. ......cheers Ian.........was in a bit of a rush!! Al.
  20. Does anyone know the oil change mileage intervals?.........I've done 4k (miles) since my last,so i'm doing another now.Is this overkill? Al.
  21. Thank you very much...........i didn't have a go last night as it was late...ish, and needed the car in the morning.Didn't want to risk getting it off and not being able to put back on.Al.
  22. I want to change this belt on my N/A....had a look, and can see that the belt is tensioned through a 'sprung' pulley. How do you untension this belt in order to remove the belt? Al.
