  2. Hi Andy Thanks for the reply and info I was just thinking of future proofing it but if this is the case I might just use the standard OEM bolts then to be honest and like you say save the money to use else where for the the build I am restricted by the W58 anyways really even though it has just been fully rebuilt I know it’s only a matter of time and my end goal is 550 to 600bhp but my Whifbitz manifold would need changing to at this level Are the original reusable or do you need to buy a fresh set I didn’t want to over build it really and forge it and new rods you see just make it last as long as possible and maybe do that in the future with the spare engine I have Thanks
  3. Another quick question as I might as well change them while am at this stage When you change the mains and rod bolts to ARP obviously they must supply you new torque specs but what I would like to know is do you have to get any machining done usually to the caps when using ACL standard size bearings as the new clamping force pressure and the torque setting not designed for stretch surely makes the clearance tolerances out of spec You would have to plastigauge them but just wondering what people are usually doing if just changing rod bolts
  4. Thank you for clarifying that for me
  5. Hi I am currently in the process of doing my NA-T conversion using my original engine it was the perfect time to do it as the head gasket had blown and been stuck at home for weeks As my gasket had gone and overheated I thought i would definitely have to get the head skimmed and the block surface wasn’t great either made me think this would also need doing to This made me decide to open up a Unknown condition NA-T Complete engine I bought from a breakers for £300 but did not use or do anything with I wanted to see if it was a better base to start from then my original engine but it had sat in the barn for about 8 years as I did not have the funds to purchase everything required to convert at that time Now I have already purchased a Whifbitz kit and injectors and Link ECU And uprated pump Now when I have stripped it back I have found it to have ARP head stud kit And it has ARP engraved into the nuts and it had the TT head gasket Please can somebody confirm if these are standard rod and main bolts or ARP please I had a search but couldn’t find anything Thanks
  6. Anybody got one from a build or anything a stage 1 would do for NA-T
  7. In process of rebuilding and restoring the supra and debating selling the active lip and getting the poly Whifbitz TRD lip It’s had a repair by the previous owner who had also fitted some daft stickers which I have began removing from the whole car as I got for the factory look and respray It was never connected just for show Don’t know what it’s worth as it’s not fantastic condition but other then repaint really seems ok all mounting points ok make me a offer if interested Thanks NOT letting me upload pictures will try after or what’s app
  8. Get a quote from Shipley mate see how much to get it posted they do car parts and cars how far up north like that’s cheap for a TT auto box

  10. The LINK ecu says it requires this if your NA-T or is there another option Thanks
  11. Thanks for the feedback I will take a look at the SGS one I had a look at the Clarke’s and machine mart ones but they had mixed reviews hence this post but mainly seemed to be people struggling to get the locking pins in whilst engine was rotated and I don’t think this would be a major issue that would bother me to much mainly stability and of securing really is what concerned me thanks lads
  12. In the process of doing my build and looking for a engine stand anybody have any recommendations or stay away froms would be appreciated thanks
  13. Thanks for the recommendations and info Paying the membership and been a member of the forum has paid for its self tenfold already Decided to go full stand alone I had a look at them ECUs and and at the links and decided to not cut corners am letting the KTM go am selling her and buying the ecu
  14. Ah rght I know what you mean now thanks Josh I might do it to one of my manifolds from one of my spare Engines then can always revert back but if it removes that spike might be beneficial when tuning Is this the only thing that causes it or is it built into the timing as well somewhat in ECU signals does anybody know Cheers again
  15. Really that’s interesting josh what exactly am I required to put in the drilled and tapped hole and is it still as responsive as a NA-T with this still I place thanks Josh
  16. There’s the pictures mate
  17. Fantastic info thanks for that lads potentially saved me a few headaches there much appreciated I gathering all your info together and putting together my parts list Now I understand the NA-TT ecu mod conversion better if I do go this route as it only showed 3 coils pack and wondered why it didn’t have 6 now I know it must be running in the wasted spark formation meaning I need that VVTi gear Thanks

Thanks am responding to PMs now and updating the add TRD bonnet went straight away and is SOLD Hockey sticks sill trims and front trims potentially sold following further pictures of mounting points this afternoon for £200 I didn’t want to have a set price for the trims and other parts as I know a lot of people over price them when selling wanted to make it fair that’s why I wanted offers Many thanks
