Yeah so a day and a half with beer stops !!!! Its a horrible job and a lot depends on the state of the wiring behind the dash, ie stereo install etc

Dash out im afraid budget for a day and a half maybe 2 if you havent done it before. You may as well change the matrix while your in there.

There is an article by stoptech I think that says basically it is impossible to warp a disc, any undulation in trhe pedal is down to pad material on the disc.

In theory LPG is much higher octane so a single turbo could run massive boost as long as there is a way of turning it down if you run on petrol.

Got a good deal JP, having a go in an R35 but the cost of tuning is pretty frightening !!!! I can get 8-850hp RELATIVELY cheaply in the porker.

The load leveller would be handy in this case, problem is the engine and trans are pretty heavy and with the crane on full reach it will struggle.

with the rear up the angle is less extreme that you need to get the engine/trans at, you also need a crane with pretty long reach. As long as you have everything undone theres prob not too much reason to have the front up as well, we always do it on a ramp but thats a luxury.

If you jack the back of the car up it makes life easier;)

Little tip, if you think its getting hot switch the heater fan on hot and full it will cool it down a bit, if its blowing cold you have no water or your pump impeller has fallen off or some of the teeth have.

Dont see too many FMIC installs with the stock AC fan in place, ideally wants a small aftermarket jobbie if you use the AC a lot.

Like CW says there is only 1 way, so you need to have the engine raised when you put the box on so you can get access to the windows to do the bolts up holding the cover on and get the clutch fork in.

You wont get much easier than the Getrag, starngely my Porsche is a pull clutch but the plate and cover are all aligned and bolted to the flywheel before the box goes on.
