  1. Cheers for the advice guys, will be doing all fluid changes on sunday. so will bleed the system proper and then replace belt and go from there, although i did just top up the fluid and started the engine and the noise had dyed down alot. might just need a good bleed out on another note, can anybody tell me why it makes noises when there isnt enough fluid in the reservoir. would be good to know for future reference.
  2. ahh i see , it gets louder when i turn the wheel full lock or just before full lock, Does this mean my PAS pump maybe on its way out ? how much are we looking at for a new one ?
  3. hey guys Im having quite a noticeable moaning/rubbing noise coming from my pulleys. The belt is pretty tight so no issues with loose belt. its only started happening the last couple of days as the weathers got colder, if thats got anything to do with it, but it sounds like its coming from the (looking at the engine) right side pulley, the one with the gaps in the middle. is this the crank pulley ? iv read alot of people on here have had the pulley brake on them. can anybody describe the issues they had before their pulley went? any help would be a massive bonus as i'd rather not be driving and hear a bang lee p.s. i now know there are no bearings in the crank puley :-)
  4. ok that sounds good. Just found out im working till 6pm so cant take photo today but will certainly post one up tomorrow. cheers again
  5. well im going to stop off, on way home from work to double check everything, as im starting to beleive you might be right. cheers jake
  6. sorry for my incompitence [/OOPS] havent had much sleep in the last 3 days [sAD][/sAD] a fan belt is what im after indeed and the garage and myself visualy checked the crank damper etc i have an auto if this makes a difference, so what your saying is that if i did not have the A/C compressor, i wouldnt have a pulley there ? the mechanic told me it didnt have the compressor and that the pulley is still on there which is whats creating the noise as the bearing are on there way out. i need all the help i can get with mechanically minded things, as you can see by my first thread [OOPS] /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_oops.gif sorry guys and cheers for any help
  7. hey guys Did a quick search but couldn't dig up anything of real use. basically when i bought my sup it didn't have the air con unit or compressor, and now my pulley which is used by the aircon only , is squealing and sqwelching if thats a word been to a reputable garage in my area who know their supra's and they seem to be 99% sure its that. where can i go about obtaining a belt to by-pass the aircon pulley ?, as I don't feel like paying allot to remove the pulley totally. mechanic told me they were obtainable. cheers guys lee
  8. any pictures of the momo millennium wheel ? id also be interested in the clocks if there facelift ? PM me if you want. cheers lee
  9. spark plugs where changed only a week ago to grade 7 ngk's. FMIC as far as i know is fine and im not too sure what make it is but a guy i know at Sussex performance who is currently running a 680bhp supra :blink:has the exact same one so it cant be that bad as for the induction kit, i wouldnt have a clue who its made by but its pretty big and really should be changed to a smaller one with cold air feed. so i think the general idea is to get it serviced and purchase a boost controller. any ideas on good shops or websites to obtain this?
  10. see, i thought that 370 was a good figure but hearing most of the members that have gone BPU there talking about 400 bhp etc or maybe just shy of 400. i do have a 1.2 restrictor ring fitted aswell. i just personally thought BPU would make better figures than 360-370. what is meant by "de-frag" [OOPS][/OOPS] im not very knowledgeable when it comes to mechanical terms cheers guys
  11. hey guys Just wanting to know if there's anyway i can bring back some lost BHP on my TT BPU. reason being is that i had it dyno'd a month or so ago and the figures where not too my liking(370 bhp). both turbo's working fine etc etc it is in need of a service which i will be carrying out in january sometime. I dont currently have a boost controller but do have a boost gauge. would buying a boost controller and upping the boost to 1.2 bar make a difference in power? any other advice on getting my BHP back would be much appreciated
  12. Agreed looks alot better with the TRD.
