  1. Put me down as a yes bud.. even if my supra isn't 100% I'm still booked off for this so can bum a lift with you if you've got space ? .. I want to be in my car though lol
  2. Might not make this unless you wanna give me a lift lee lol... supras playing up and I don't feel confident in driving it long distances at the moment.
  3. Thanks for that very in depth reply Chris... I just wish I understood what you said haha..I think I will just try as much as I can before starting to replace things. It seems like the vvti supra isn't worth the hassle it seems to give out. It's never anything simple with me
  4. Wish it was that easy mate.. unfortunately it's not lol
  5. Bit of a weird one. Having not owned a vvti supra before .. I've done some research and it seems they can be a real pain in the ass.. mine is When I bought the car a month ago it was fine.. no troubles or idling issues etc .. I havent messed about with anything under the bonnet nor have I added any fuel cut defenders etc .. the car was bpu when I bought it.. When I was slowing to a stop coming up to a roundabout in drive ,I went to pull away and the engine had cut out.. restarted and continued to next roundabout where it cut out again .. the revs just drop too low and then it cuts out. So I got it home and after speaking to a few people I ended up spraying some carb cleaner onto the throttle body butterfly and wiping as best I could with out removing the whole unit and trying not to disturb anything or pushing too hard. When I removed the intake pipe going to the throttle body there was a small amount of oil in a tiny puddle near the end of the throttle body pipe .. is this normal ? .. Anyway .. after cleaning throttle body I put I all back together and went out for a drive. Everything was fixed and fine ... or so I thought.. was good for around a week or so now the symptoms have returned. . So I reset the ecu by disconnecting negative on battery for 30 mins. Also done the tps reset trick by turning key to on position and holding accelerator down for 10 seconds. I heard no noise or humming so maybe it didn't do anything. So I took it out again and it was the same.. ecu took a few minutes to readjust then went back to almost cutting out. Got home again and while engine was running, disconnected the tps connector .. car idled at 1600 rpm so I turned engine off unscrewed the tps a little bit and sprayed some carb cleaner in the crack that I managed to pry open.. screwed it back and reconnected everything.. .. took car out again .. got it to normal running temp and now it's fine again idles at around 800 rpm with no aircon etc .. doesn't cut out or look like its going to cut out.. I'm stuck .. I was thinking to remove the throttle body completely and clean it up real good.. but also I'm starting to think my tps is a bit weird... Also .. since the weather has got hotter it's started to do this behavior .. coinsidence or fact that supras don't like 30 degree heat outside ?? Anybody with some good advice would be very much appreciated
  6. How this has not sold yet is beyond me !! Nice car and more than reasonable price for a 28k mile supra. GLWTS bud.
  7. Soo many choices !! ... I'd literally melt my brain if I had that many to choose from lol On a side note. I'm in Horsham West Sussex.. where are you going time be moving back to in Sussex mik3y supra ?
  8. I'm there in the new sup ... be good to see some of you again. What time we arriving for ?
  9. I'll be tagging onto any convoy that is around west Sussex areas. Friday morning sounds good to me
  10. Had one on my old white single supra... sounded immense
  11. No chance for me on the 1st . I'm booked off on the 2nd to go to ford fair with the Mrs . Can't get the 1st.
  12. I can't do the 1st as it's summer holidays and I have alot of people away that month. Bummer
  13. But you told me the other day it was over 2000 bhp at the hubs haha... glad your enjoying it mate... bet you can't wait until your cams and pumps go in
  14. I'm hopefully getting SRD to check it over for me soonish so I'm hoping it's something simple but I think if it's not hub related then I will be buying a set of discs and pads and go from there me thinks.
  15. Steering wheel shakes. Shakes worse at higher speeds when braking. I've had the fronts removed ... pistons and sliders checked and re greased. Hub cleaned and fitted back then skimmed on the car. Could the front discs still be warped if they have been skimmed ? I watched them skimming and one side was slightly warped as it missed the cutter in one spot. We moved the cutter in a notch on the spot it was missing until it cleared ... could it still be warped ? They are literally 2 week old discs.
  16. Not sure on the brake fluid part but with the vibration being speed dependant and the amount of serious judder on the steering wheel I'd say it's not the fluid. Also.. it seems to feel at low speeds pulling up to a junction for example .. the brake pedal pulses up and down a few mm... that to me says warped disc or incorrect disc fitment does it not ?
  17. Had the discs skimmed on the car but as I reported the issue before skimming they took the discs off and inspected them, cleaned hub surface then skimmed them. The wheels are aftermarket but are hubcentric and fit snug with no play. Wouldn't a wheel bearing make a noise/ vibrate all the time ? It only vibrates during breaking and anything over 75mph. Surely this wouldn't be wheel bearings ? Tyre tread is fine too. Not wearing Un even or low on tread.
  18. I'm after some expert advise from you boys.. I have just bought the supra and have noticed quite a severe brake judder at any speed. I thought straight away. Warped disc etc.. so I've had the front and rear brake discs and pads changed and it still does it ! I've had the new front brake discs skimmed and it's still vibrating like an ass. When the skimming was done we checked the front calipers for sticking and they are fine... I am guzumped as to what it could be... also I have had an audi garage (Mrs works there) .. check my bushes for play etc and nothing is wrong with them. The wheels vibrate between 70 and above mph so I will get balancing done. Any help would be great guys
  19. Best to bite the bullet and pay for genuine toyota ones. Just so you know there's definitely nothing wrong with them
  20. When my single was just under a quarter of a tank in fuel it would run like crap. Stuck a full tank in and it didn't happen. I put the full tank in after I changed the coil packs so it was either coil packs or low fuel. Hope it's just a fuel issue for you bud and not the coil packs
  21. I think black smoke is OK. . It's blue or white ish smoke that you want to worry about ..iirc.
  22. Stop beating around the proverbial bush and get the vids up
  23. Bad news on the misfire bud.. my old single kept doing this and I think it turned out to be dodgy coil packs. The extra power puts more stress on them I think. And if they haven't been replaced in a while it's probably worth doing just to make sure
  24. How hard is it to fit Noz? Surely it's just remove sock antenna then slip in blank plug? Berg: I think your thinking of the rear wiper delete bungs . The antenna hole is angled and curved so it's harder to fill with a standard rubber/ plastic bung.
  25. Yes bud that would be awesome of you
