Manifolds expand and contract slightly during their heat cycles, that kind of bracing prevents that from happening, therefore over time stress fractures and cracks will appear. The reason the cheap shit in that picture has the bracing in the 1st place is that its so poorly manufactured that it needs extra bracing to support the turbo. The only bracing I have to do is screamer to down pipe and down pipe to block.

Do you mean bracing bar from the manifold?

Thing of beauty that mate -

The one I’m swapping out is also a twin scroll Walton and fitted perfectly, My turbo housing is single scroll mate, so went with a single scroll manifold so it’s all matching flow. That’s the only reason really. Was going to go for a 50mm gate but 60mm should be perfect according to racecal

Thanks mate, can’t wait, she’s fully run in now so when this is all fitted she will have a proper map! Looking forward to the results

They finally arrived. Walton motorsport mani, huge 60mm turbosmart external gate ready to go on tomorrow, and tb fuel lid fitted. Works of art!

Yeah basically done now apart from cosmetic work. Staying with the stock wheels mate, keeping the stock (Sleeper look) Luckily I’ve found good tyre sizes and widths that make it all possible.
