03/03/2014- A very wet March meet, but not a bad turnout

The EPIC Basingstoke Meet is held every month and I have been running it for 9 years now. This thread is for photos taken by myself and other club members who attend the meets. These are photos from the 2014 meets If anyone wants to come to the meets, come on down!! Details can be found in the England- South events list, whenever a meet is on Anyone who attends the Basingstoke Meets, please add any photos you wish to share!! Photos- 02/02/2014- Weeks of rain, but one day of sunshine for the first 2014 Epic meet. Lots of Supras!!

Oh definitely, a lot of people use it as an excuse when in all honestly they probably just don't want to get their car dirty Yeah it made me very miserable, I was checking taps, light switches, doors, windows, gas hobs, I'd logged out on computers, turning round in my car for no reason, avoiding lines and cracks in roads, cleaning constantly.... The list goes on I'll be here all night telling you The more months I did of shift work, the less sleep I got. I just became worse and worse until one day I struggled to leave work and got home late. My girlfriend asked where I'd been and I burst out crying as I thought I was slowly losing my marbles. The guy you knew should have got help too, took me 3-4 months before I did. I became very depressed in September when it reached it's peak. But now I'm on the mend and slowly not spending my life on repeat Hopefully I'll start enjoying my Supra a bit more once I start driving properly again. Cheers mate, treatment is definitely working now.... just very slowly.

I was diagnosed with OCD back in September 2013, I'm on 150mg of Sertraline a day and seeing a psychologist every other week. It got so bad that I couldn't even drive, I get lifts to the Basingstoke meets at the moment too I struggled leaving the house when I was at my worst and I couldn't stop turning my car around. I thought I was going crazy!! Docs think stress and doing shift work caused me to get OCD. As I was lacking sleep big time. I have had my Supra 7 years and never driven it in the rain as I like it perfect. It always has to be clean, so I've always had mild OCD, but now it's extreme and became unmanageable. It's bl00dy stressful OCD

Yeah it would be good to get everyone together now and again, I'm open to a meet every now and then so long as it's clear of the Basingstoke meets The meets are very important to me as you've probably noticed, which is why I'm sooooooo stubborn Love your Supra by the way, that thing is stunning!! Incredible colour

If we arrange this meet for every so often and a Basingstoke meet can still go ahead every month. People can choose which meet they want to attend and as long as the meet isn't on a Sunday during a Basingstoke meet they won't clash. It makes for more meets to attend, rather than waiting all month for just one event

Isn't this thread about bringing the 2 meets together (Basingstoke and Crawley), to make one big meet the first Saturday of every month or possibly every 2 months LOL? That's what other posts have said

The Basingstoke meets are a great success and just keep on getting better and improving everytime. We spoke about this thread today at the meet and everyone I spoke to about it says they like how things are done currently. As a few members travel up from down South and don't want to travel further up the motorway past Basingstoke. They like the time and day of the Basingstoke meets, where we meet, the venue for lunch, the convoy around town etc. The meet has been arranged regulary for a good few years now and is at a great standard. I can understand where you're coming from, it would be nice having a big meet. But sorry I won't be cancelling the monthly Basingstoke meets which are on the Sunday of every first weekend of the month. As there is a great crowd who come to the meet and I enjoy arranging the meets, so I want to keep on giving them the meets that we enjoy Surely more meets are a better idea rather than one meet as long as they don't clash? Then it's more meets for attending during the month So I think arrange a meet, but Basingstoke meets will carry on being arranged for every first weekend Sunday of the month regardless of any other meets being arranged. This whole post isn't meant to sound sh!ty, so if it does then I apologise. It's hard to put into writing without it coming out badly LOL

Don't worry, we'll give you a 5 minute head start. Point taken, we're all normal here today, I repeat we're all normal!! Hope you all like it and it goes as planned, just annoying there's so many traffic lights and roundabouts in Basingstoke. As it makes it difficult keeping people together, but I'm sure it'll go fine as I've made up and tried the route on a previous meet before
