  7. I agree, I'll give you 4K for it...
  8. I thought it was going to be a rant about people who tailgate ambulances through heavy traffic to get through traffic jams faster. Can't say I've ever done it myself
  9. Haha really? No I haven't spoken to Rob about planning a meet, I don't usually ask his permission You and I both know how busy the pub and pub carpark can get, it would be even worse with 2 car meets on there. So at end of the day I don't mind setting the Basingstoke meet for the weekend after (Sunday 31/07/11) as it's been only 24 hours since I set the date anyway
  10. Totally agree, I became very stressed when I was in a sling and unable to do simple tasks because of my injury. Also watching my bank account go down and not being able to work has made me a bit stressed again recently, when your off sick with an injury for a long time your mind gets sick too

BASINGSTOKE - Sunday 31st July 2011 - 1pm For main thread for chat and to see who is attending, please click on this link- http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?250135-EPIC-Basingstoke-Meet-Sunday-31-07-11 Hey guys and gals, I think it's about time we had another meet as it's been just over 2 months since the last one. If you came to the last Basingstoke meet or been to a Basingstoke meet before- Well done, come again!! If you haven't- Gutted but come this time!! Husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, your bestfriend or whatever welcome. As long as they're not a complete tool they can come. In other words- Look at your friend and rate them on a scale of 1-10 of tool-ness. Anything above a 4 and they can sod right off Also no time travellers or space monkeys allowed, got it? Good!! Now lets all try and get down to this as being summer it should hopefully be a gorgeous sunny day, so I'm thinking a nice little cruise about then off to the pub to chat and catch up on things like last time. Hope to see you there, Dave Date: Sunday 31st July 2011 Where: Hatchwarren Retail Park, then off to a local Pub Time: 1pm Address is as follows: Unit 1, Hatchwarren Retail Park, Wallop Drive, RG22 4TT Googlemaps: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl...18389&t=h&z=16 It's really easy to find where we meet if you come from the M3, Junction 7. Or anyone in Basingstoke it's just up Winchester Road next to Sainsburys. If you still can't find us go round the back of Pets at Home, Argos etc to the good inwards area which is just off the roundabout at Sainsburys. Everyone meets round the back of Pets at Home store so we can spot each other easily and as it's not too bad access for low supes. As always a little drive to somewhere close by for something to eat and drink and bit of a chat for a few hours about random things going on in our lives http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/l515/DavyT/SupraMeetimage.jpg

  13. I'm thinking that too, I was just very unlucky and there's not much I can do Your work sounds worse than mine, suppose I should be grateful my work has kept my job open for me. I'm now looking for another job as driving about all the time and going to call outs miles away was starting to annoy me even before my fall. Looking for an on site engineer job now. I've been off 7 months and my money has become low, but I've still kept hold of my Supra. Hope you keep yours too
  14. I'm a mobile heating and ventillation engineer and work on my own when at work on various sites around England and Wales. I've seen occupational health and they said my work should take me back in, but also said I shouldn't do any heavy aspects of my job where the work is above my head. My work is still stalling and said they can't promise that I won't be put in that situation. I'm not injured as such anymore, but still having physio and I don't have 100% movement or use of my shoulder yet. Bit of a grey area on if it's my works fault or not, at end of day I slipped over on some ice. But my work did have me working nearly a 24 hour shift hours before my fall. Only reason I haven't tried suing is because I hate people who claim for everything.
  15. What can they do? Are they trained to fetch slippers, newspapers, do the washing up etc? As I may be interested.
  16. I've been off work for the last 7 months after fully dislocating my shoulder when I slipped on the ice/snow during work, my work says I'm still un-fit to do my job safely so won't let me back in. I haven't tried claiming a penny, but I'm slowly thinking of doing it as I have a mortgage to pay and my funds are getting very low. Also I live on my own so have lots of bills to pay, should I claim Paul?
  17. Exactly you enjoyed it and would feel weird not being in a Supra, I think if you sold your Supra and didn't buy another you'd feel you couldn't go on the next Dragonball in a different car. Which means you'd miss out mate I hardly drive my car, my car is only used during the spring-summer time when it's a dry day. Once there's rain, snow or salt on the roads she's never out and kept in the garage under a dust cover. I average 600 miles a year in my Supra, but when I do use mine it's always a thrill as it's not used often. Like everyone else is saying, you'll find it hard to find another car which is as much fun but also sensible at the same time. If you sold your TT and bought a tidy NA you would most likely be able to also afford a sensible car at the same time, then just use the Supra every so often as a treat to yourself like I do with mine Your right they rarely go together, common sense says I should sell my Supra too as I never use it. Yet mines insured and taxed all year round and sat in the garage 8 out of 12 months of the year. But why be sensible when you can have the best of both worlds? It's your blooming kids forcing you to need a sensible car, it's simple.... sell your kids and the problem is solved
  18. As a few people have already mentioned, get an NA and another car which is sensible. Yes you may not use the Supra too often, but that means it'll be more special when you do drive it. I had one year where I had driven my car less than 350 miles in a year (According to the MOT garage) But I'd never sell my Supra as I enjoy the special times I do get her out for a rag. You'll regret it if you do sell up and don't replace it with another Supra ... Now go get yourself a manual Supra NA and see you on the next Dragonball.... Or Le Mans
  19. Welcome to the club!! Awesome looking Supra you have there, I'm really loving white Supras these days
  20. Sod a respray, Drift_Bear should do this to his Supra
