  1. Any more pics as I would also be interested to see. Does anyone on here have a larger sound system, with like two 15"s or anything, as I have two of the alpine versions which I would want to fit in the boot. BTW, that system above looks mint fair play!
  2. Lol numptey! If the paint hasnt been chiped off then i recon either the bodyshop could quite easily get it out, or if they dont do small dent removal (my local wont) if you contact one of the many dent repair comapnies they should be able to get it back as new. There isn't a brace or anything behind the metal at this point in the door is there? as this would be the only thing really making it more of a pain to put right.
  3. Well I used to drive my old fiesta project with a 2.0 conversion into work, which £40 of fuel sees it 200 motorway miles, and as half my journey is backroads it kinda goes thorugh it even more. Its about 90 miles really, but as i do other driving for work (Im a grad QS), I do abit more general driving for work. This is why I bought the Mondeo just over a month ago, as last week I did 1000 miles and ive done over 5k miles in it since ive had it! So yeh, maybe £15 is a little over what I'm spending now, but its probs what i shell out on an avarage day going site-office-home.
  4. It just really annoys me how much it costs and we still basicly get nothign from it. People who dont work (not people who cant) should get far less money than they do. Im sorry, but if you dont have a job why should you be given money and afford to go on holidays and buy all the latest games consoles and things. Its rediculous. did anyone see the bbc new thing, it showed a petrol station at one point and the price on the pump...... 140pence, ouch!
  5. ^^^ lol good advice. I'm actualy really keen on the supra, I just had a though thoughts in my head about it costing more ect but it seems asthough i was probibly mislead. Also, as my mates have skylines, I like the idea of having something different. If I got one i'd be looking at a wide-body, i assume this requires a full re-spray and the kit is exspensive in the first place? Do you get second-hand wide-kits or basicly not because of the way theyr attached? With engine tuning, what kind of power can you get before it starts getting really exspensive (engine rebuild). Ive also heard that once the head gasket goes its going to be a comon problem on the car? Sorry for asking loadsa questions in this thread, as i said, I'm very new to Supras so dont really know hardly anyhting about them really (bar what ive read recently on here), so just asking them here instead of posting like a million new topics!
  6. Cheers for your opinions peeps, its really helpful for me. I'm pretty sure I'd be only looking at TT Manuals due to it just being a weekend car that I'll want to also use up the strip ect, basicly everything lol!
  7. Did anyone see the petrol station in the background of a BBC news thing i think it was, its was 140 pence, ouch! My gf's cousin is over here for a bit, there from Barbados. He was complaining to me about fuel prices out there, there something like 40p a liter, lol! Mind you though, when they buy a new car/ want to import they have to pay 3 times the cars value in total (so like 200% tax on a new car), ouch! I have a mondeo as a second car for work, a 2002 and because of the newer tax brakets (its a 2.0td) its currently cheaper to tax than my sisters 1.6 petrol golf. Also, if road tax is to pay for the roads, how come hybrid cars get away without paying, they still wear the roads? Really annoys me that they also keep mentioning the Prius and not like the Lexus Hybrid. At the end of the day though, road tax cosing an extra £15 a year is hardly going to scare me into changing my vehicle, I spend more than that in diesel a day to get to work.
  8. ^^^ As far as Drifting I mean for like 4/5 events a year, just basicly having a laugh with the trampdrift guys, nothing much more than that really.
  9. Out of interest, how are Supras to drift compared to a Skyline RWD? I have a couple of friends with R33 GTST's and a couple with RX7's, and I've been to a few events with them and it's defenetly something I'd like to give a try at in my own car.
  10. I do love the Skyline r34 GTR, a guy I know has one tuned to 500bhp, its a total beast (till he blew the engine!). Its down at another mates workshop so ive had a good look around it and would love one but theyr way out of my price range. Are tuning bits for the supra on par with the Skyline or are they generaly more exspencive, and as far as the less tunner bits available for the Supra, does the option of improting bits mean that all the bits that are available for the skyline but not for the supra are Improtable, or are there somethings you just cant get hold of?
  11. Hi guys, I had a quick look to se if this had been covered before but couldnt really see anything. Basicly, how come you guys chose supras over say Skylines? Ok, I personaly much prefer the look of the supra, but for the cost of a decent Supra TT Manual (say 8k) you could get a Skyline R34 Gtt or for the cost of a lower spec Supra (say 4k) you could pick up a Skyline R33 GTS-T. Also, from what i have seen looking about the parts for Skylines seem alot more available and are a fair chunk cheaper than for Supras. So yeh, what made you choose a Supra? Also, If Im way off on anything above let me know as I'm totaly new to Supras!
  12. Cheers guys. Im from, well, middle of nowhere really! Nearest place to where I have just moved from (my parents place) is Aberaeron, my g/f lives in Aberystwyth and I'm now working in Swansea and living in Llanstephan (nr Carmarthen), basicly Im all over the place, lol!
  13. Cheers for the warm welcome peeps.
  14. Hi guys, Ok, I'll be honest, I don't own a Supra, or anything of the sort! I do however intend getting one at some point in the future so signed up to see the kinda ones that pass through the 'for sale' section on here and just to get info on them ect. I'm abit of a newbi to supras so don't be too mean!
