Doh, I probibly do that all the time and never notice, soz!
-
NO hes a fabricator and he not only rebuilt the engine up to the spec it is now himself, he also built the intercoolers, oil coolers for the engine and drivetrain (the rear axle, word escapes me) ect ect ect. He does alot of work for people with these kinda cars so kinda sees a few different things go through. After looking at swampys links he might have just got confused with the Aristo, however, HAS anyone, with a link to a page or something, made a 4x4 supra, and did it actualy handle?
-
So, Toyota ever make a 4x4 one as I was speaking to a mate who is into his Skylines (has an r33 gtr with 500bhp that he's built himself, including all the oil coolers ect ect) and he mentioned to me that they made a very limited number of 4x4 supras from the factory. Is that right or has he got things wrong as he said he'd also seen one for sale recently????
-
Why won't you pay me more attention
-
I've seen some for sale from Maplins, for around £20. Apparantly theyr 36v but will they still run on 12v? Also they say they can lift 1000n or there abouts, well I only want to lift a small computer monitor (15" flatscreen), and if i get then possibly a couple of speakers either side of the screen, max weight probs 10kg. Has anyyone bought one of these before, are they ok? Opinions?

That was quiter a close one then! As everyone else has a story, heres mine! Driving along the M4 aboput 2 weeks ago and a CHRISTMAS TREE fell off a trailer in front of me, luckily I wasnt going that fast (around 70) so managed to avoid it skidding toward me, I just see loadsa cars swerving in my rear view mirror, then about 10 mins later theres a traffic report saying theres been two accidents at that place, and the road is closed. -
What level ect is he? What kinda yearly wage is that, before tax? Not expecing you to know that many details about your mate though!
-
Right, for those Quantity Surveying people out there, any ideas what my wage should roughly be? Im a Graduate QS, past my degree (Construction Managment and Quantity Surveying) last year from Reading with a 2-2. Im now working with a large company in Swansea, been here since December, and although I've been on alot of building sites before, labouring ect (my dads a builder) this is the first QS work I have formaly done. I am also in the process of getting onto the APC program, so not accredited yet. Any ideas?, as I have a pay review, !
-
Actualy, I just had another look, its basicly 1k for wheels + tyres on that site. If he bought them a while ago then he probs did pay that. I do hate those wheels though!
-
Yeh but + tyres it'll be somewhere near what he says. I don't mind the car tbh, but yeh seems abit funny!
-
Lol, although I don't really mind the styling of it.

I like theyr approach, atleast theyr trying to do something about it. A couple of years ago I had a fiesta mk3 rst lookalike, on a Q plate. I used to get soooo much hastle in it doing nothing, got pulled 7 times in a month! Some of the best were accused of doing donuts in it and they wouldnt belive me that we'd just come from the cinema and the engine was stone cold. Also had grief before over playing exssessivly loud music- someone had given my reg number, but I had no audio in my car, no hu, no speakers, and still I was being told not to have it up loud ect ect. Depends on the copper i guess, but aslong as they treat me with respect i dont mind getting pulled if I look suspiciouse (spl) driving it, atleast then I know if they see the car again and its not me driving it they know to again pull it/ might pick up that something is wrong.
-
Seriously, if my gf had'nt just had a baby I'd be banging on your door! Lush car, good luck with the sale.
-
Can you pm me both prices please. This is with a 6 speed box then?
-
I appriciate the work gone into it, but the styling really really anoys me, I hate it!
-
Looks pererble to me. Is it just melting damage, or has it snapped? If just melting and she's not an arse you could get away with just having the bumper re-sprayed. Best bet is to pander to her really if you want to avoid huge costs and involving insurance.
-
^^^Either alot of masking tape and careful spraying, or remove the whole dask!

Another tale of woe - Hit and Run outside my house :(
lucasdemoley replied to MrRalphMan's topic in Supra Chat
Crikey thats quite a lot of damage, feel sorry for you dude. Atleast he left you something to twat him with if he comes back eh?!! As its basicly been decided that its a glazier van, it might be worth looking in the yellow pages and seeing how many operate in your area, as if its only one or two companys it will be a company van so might be worth ringing them up and asking, or alternativly if theyr local just popping to their wearhouse and seeing if the van is there. I also doubt alot of places will sell those/fit the side bits to the van, so you might be able to ask like a supplier/ local cheap bodywork place if theyve had any vans in wih that kinda damage. Depends how much you wanna find the person i guess. As per cctv, I know it ca be a huge bietch to get a look at the video. I had my car broken into at a cinema, over £1k of stuff taken and i was parked right by a cctv camera and they wouldnt even look at the footage (the cinema) and police didnt care. I also had my car broken into at the university carpark, I saw the footage with them getting into my car and the car they turned up in ect, again police didnt even take a look. I hope you get it sorted buddy without too much cost/hastle to yourself -

Yeh, what an amazing race! Only 7 people finishing (not inc the person who was disqualified), nutts! I stayed up to watch it but fell asleep during the warm up to it so missed it all, lol! Watched it in the afternoon, well worth watching! -
I wouldn't trust it myself. Firstly it will just be stick-on so not great, and secondly if you look at the pictures there is a name going across them which has no relation to the seller, so clearly he's just lifted the pics off someone else
-
^^^ I'm thinking the same thing, lol! From My calcs you do have the volume needed for two 15's, but as said I think it will be abit tight. In-car pc looks the mutts nutts. Is that running all the audio, or does it still go through a hu? If it is all through the pc, do you have like a 5.1 audio card so it has the needed outputs?
-
^^^^ Really really likning that. Is there anyone with a system where the seats are removed?
-
Any farmers here? Digging with a tractor front end loader bucket??
lucasdemoley replied to Chris Wilson's topic in Off Topic
We have one at my parents place. I dont know if yours is the same but ours you cant power downwards so basicly you cant 'dig' with the bucket but you can scrape. Also something to note on ours you dont want to be trying to put sidways pressure on the bucket, as I tried nocking a wall down in a shed with ours but I gave up as it was close to bending stuff (could only hit the wall at about 45 degrees) As others have said breaking the soil up will help hugely, but you might be better getting in a mini-digger because A it'll make things easier and B theyr a bloody good laugh! -
*Runs away to the tv and hopes to god the gf is not in charge of the remote....*

Any ideas how far the kinda screen that pulls across the boot is away from the glass of the boot, I mean, if the subs were just behind the rear seats would there be the depth for them, perhaps needing 30cm or abit more? (soz to hijack!)
