  1. Big update, Nothings changed...…. Hopefully get started this winter! I've had far too many projects over the last few years
  2. You couldn't be more right. Plus I'm getting married next year so the fact it's still going at a snails pace as opposed to being halted means I'm a lucky man!
  3. Almost a year on and I've done nothing to the car other than buy more bits! Full Techno Toy Tuning rear conversion. I've also got hubs/diff/half shafts from an r33 for all this McKinney MotorSport engine and diff mounts along with downpipe Also bought a Jag and Skyline to enjoy too Jaguar XFS 3.0D R33 GTST
  4. PM'd regarding the inner arch liners
  5. Big clear up in the garage yesterday, got the RB26 delivered and into the garage, gokart welded up and rolling (still lots of tinkering required) and my mates FC back in the garage ready for the 13b to go back in!
  6. They came off a whifbitz track car so no idea where they originally came from. No scrubbing at that height, lowering the car scrubbed pretty bad but I raised it again and didn't have any more problems
  7. Rota Grid Drifts 9.5 ET 35 front and 10j et35 rear (I think) Roll on the front and rear
  8. http://cdn.pinthiscars.com/images/datsun-260z-wallpaper-wallpaper-5.jpg That's pretty much what the aim is
  9. Chris, I was 10k for mine 2 years ago but it looks like they've just climbed in value. Mine is rust free (few minor spots from chipped paint). Poor respray at some point in its US life and upgraded breaks, ignition and carb. They car is actually a joy to drive, I was very surprised at how well it handled compared to my Capri from a few years ago. But to be able to go lower with more power I need to change it all! There are a good few companies out in the states that have been developing rb conversion kits and suspension kits etc so will be going down those routes. Generally not much custom work required
  10. I really like the little carbon hints to this one but I've still got all the chrome work and can paint over carbon arches if I wanted to in the future. Also got some proper wing mirrors to fit
  11. Well the idea is a 600cc, 6 wheeled, 4wd kart. It might not work, it probably won't steer very well, but should it work it'll be a bit of fun. It's one of those projects that's interesting and challenging. Bike powers the rear axle which is daisy chained to the middle axle. Just convert the brake disc on the rear one for the bike drive. Engine mounting and exhaust fabrication is next.
  12. You might just be right there, I wasn't sure as there is a 600cc bike engine floating above a gokart and wasn't sure if that had a name of never heard of or not haha
  13. Sorry fella, I don't get what you mean?
  14. Always welcome dude, it's covered in stoor at the moment from storage! Few projects to finish this morning before i can get it back out of the garage haha
  15. Yeah going to have to do something about compression and a new fuel system. Got all summer to plan what I'm doing with this thing.
  16. And now we come to last month, after being at risk of redundancy since last November i found out my job was safe so decided to say f*ck it and go for it with the car. Found a lovely low milage engine thats already got an S30 RWD sump on it so jumped at the chance. It's on the way from Japan at the moment but as there is no rush it'll be next winters job to get running. The main difference i suppose is i'll be removing the turbos to go N/A as opposed to TT I like the idea of it and after following Sung Kang's build it just sounds awesome.
  17. Next up was wheels and suspension. in 2015 I splurged out on a set of BCs (weld in) and some super rare Hayashi Streets. 15x8.5 et-16 and 15x10 et-25. Unfortunatey i just never got around to fitting either last year so they've been waiting until now. Booked in to get coilovers and arches next month with Chizfab
  18. That would assume i havent already bought one
  19. Thought i'd through this long term project up on here for those that are interested . I bought it back in 2014 and it's been garage pretty much since then while I figure out what the hell i'm going to do with it. This ones going to be a keeper and may take a while to put together as I slowly acquire the right parts. 1970 Datsun S30 240z 2.4l straight 6 4 speed manual box California US Import Buying the car down in Guildford i trekked 600miles up to Aberdeenshire. Not particularly the best idea in a 46 year old car but never the less it got me home stinking of fuel with only a few roadside bodges Day of Purchase Rear Bumper Removed First on the list was a detail!, the paintwork was terrible and i knew that going in so was always going to be a re-spray job but fortunately I have a detailing friend who wanted to try out wet sanding. The paint couldn't get much worse so was more than happy to let him test it on the Datsun. The results were astonishing to say the least so the respray is back to the bottom of the list of jobs to do Post Detail I then purchased a HEAP of carbon bits from the US to bolt onto the car, the day they turned up everything was fitted. Bar the carbon bolt on arches. BRE Carbon Spoiler, Carbon Rear Bumper Carbon Front Bumper Rubber Front Air Dam Carbon Bolt On Arches Carbon Bits And that takes us to the end of 2014, more to come while i upload it all
  20. Offshore is a brilliant place to work. A word of warning however. Be prepared to miss birthdays, weddings, xmas, new year, etc, etc. Once you're on a rota (catering is generally 2 on 2 off, or 3 on 3 off as the climate is going) there is no exceptions.
  21. Wanted Front arch liners and mine are shot from running low. Raised the car again so it doesnt scuff so want to replace the arch lining Cheers Kieran
  22. The supra has been out of favour with me since last year and it's been up for sale a few times so i could SR20/RB25 the Datsun however after the first sale fell through and driving it like it's supposed to again I've regained the love So for the 4-5 messages a week i've been getting asking. ITS STAYNG So anyway heres some random photos. It's been a while! (Private plate's back on thanks to Jurgen ) ucket.com/user/monsween/media/IMG_6813_zpstbbxecn2.jpg.html][/url]
