  1. I was reasonably happy with the price. I was never ever going to get back what I had spent. :)
  2. The guy in the previous thread just let me down big style!! BUT NOW SOLD TO A NICE GUY FROM FINLAND
  3. Hi guys, I have deliberately kep quiet for the past month or so about my Aristo sale. After so many time wasters in the UK I did get a call from a interested buyer in Finland a month aga. I thought it was a scam at first but he sent me a £500 bank transfer and 1 month, 150+ emails and some cash he arrived last night at Manchester Airport and we did the deal. He was loving the car! I know I was only the seller but it was exciting for me to have a buyer come all that what just to buy my car based on pictures. He said the car looked exactly as described and was worth the travel. The buyer mentioned that there were a few other Aristos about cheaper then mine or similar priced, but he loved the classy look I have achieved and he hates over the top stupid stick on bits and big bumpers!) The car should be a sleeper not shout about it- if I was going to do that then it defeats the point! He bought some friends with him and they are having a Road Trip now driving the car all the way back to Finland over the bank holiday weekend. I bet they will have fun on the Autobahn........... I would love to do something like that someday. With some really bad weather in the evenings I was worried that I wouldn't be able to give the car a proper clean but I did my best; I have to say it looked really good (Meguirs quick detail did the trick!). The night before I filled the boot up with spare parts the buyer wanted. Yesterday I then waxed the car and cleaned as best I could and filled up a 25L drum of V-Power I had got for him as well as checking the under bonnet fluids, tyre pressures getting an extra 1L Top-up of Silkolene 10w-50 oil for him and I also had to buy a set of spacers which I forgot to do for the front wheels just in case they had a puncture on the front wheels (the spare won't clear the big brakes) etc. I must admit I hadn't checked the oil as regulary as I should but was impressed the car used no oil http://www.ranatech.co.uk/aristo/boot.jpg Taking all that back to Finland (and filled up fuel) AND obviously there own luggage. My quick clean included cleaning the engine bay plastics, exterior wash and wax, vaccum interior and conditioning the leather seats etc. Car looked and smelt good http://www.ranatech.co.uk/aristo/gone1.jpg Looking good to meet her new owner: http://www.ranatech.co.uk/aristo/gone2.jpg http://www.ranatech.co.uk/aristo/gone3.jpg The test drive was quite funny because we were in the Manchester Airport Short Stay Car park and we didn't really want to leave because I didn't know where we were going and you'd have to pay the rip off charges to come back in. The buyer was quite happy to just drive round the car park and get used to the beast. I couldn't really demonstrate the power. The car has so much paperwork that really even the arch leaver file I provided wasn't enough and it was over flowing! My final view of the car as it leaves and never to be seen in the UK again probably. /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_sad.gif http://www.ranatech.co.uk/aristo/gone4.jpg It honestly was a mint example of an Aristo and a such a shame that minus the few genuine ones, the UK buyers were (sorry to say but) bunch of time wasters. All I can say is this guy knows how to buy a car - if you want it you go get it even if it is 2000KM+ away where as the UK buyers couldn't even do 20 miles in same cases. I feel better saying that and getting my frustrations out. The eventual buyer was again the FIRST PERSON to look at the car, as always seems to be the case with my cars - never sold a car yet where the first person has not bought it. Hardly any haggling over the price and its nice being able to stick two fingers up to the buyers that ring you up saying they have four grand for me "right now" in cash - I say thats very nice for them, and?? :shutit: Dreamers............... if they think that - I'd rather keep the car then give it way. (As you can tell had some right people trying it on) All though it feels like I have been selling the car for a while its not that long really when you consider some people have been trying sell similar cars much cheaper for the best part of 18 months and is priced lower then mine. They are hard cars to sell. I have never seen anyone else drive the Aristo and under the dusk lights, as they were driving away it just looked like a BEAST not to be messed with - no wonder I was getting looks in it. So thats the end of my Aristo ownership. But I will still stick around Anees
  4. Right............ Looks like the car could be sold. I have had a call from a guy that actually rang me about my car when it was first advertised on Pistonheads a few months back. He has an e36 BMW M3 and he updated to an e46 M3 but actually prefers his e36 - found the e46 driving experience not to his liking - too refined and not as involving as the e36. I actaully talked him OUT of buying the Aristo because he was keen on handing and a more raw feel. What I mug I am! He rang me today and said that he keeps coming back to my car and he has actually just sold the e46 BMW M3 he bought so despite what I said he thinks the Aristo is the car for him. He should be sending me a deposit tomorrow and all being well collect the car on Sunday. He seems a really nice guy and deadly serious about the car so hopefully this works out, but I know a fair few people will hope the deal falls thought while your try and sell yours cars! Fingers crossed this is not another timewaster - I am confident but you never know.
  5. I thought I better update this. I have been really busy for the past two weeks at work hence why I have not been on here or been pushing the Aristo sale very much. 1. Neither of the two guys turned up or let me know they couldn't make it. 2. Had a guy from Bradford also ring me up to offer me £6750 over the phone; but again he didn't show up to actually look at the car 3. Not heard a thing from the guy on ebay 4. Had a firm offer for the car from a member on another forum, but unfortunetly his car sale fell through on Monday so he still needs someone to buy his car before he can buy mine. The annoying thing is no one wants to come to look at my car - its not that bad! I have NEVER had a car where the first person to turn up has not bought it. I don't want to try ebay again to be honest - fed up of the timewasters, so will try a new Pistonheads advert and put it in Autotrader. Will get there in the end I'm sure....... I have had LOADS of phonecalls about the car but no one seems to be in a position to buy - everyone seems to have a car they need to shift. So far been offered: Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T Mazda RX-7 (two seperate people) Ford Mondeo ST220 (Ryan - good luck with the sale) MKIV Supra Honda Accord 3.0L V6 Coupe I have also been phoned up by a few people just generally asking for advice which I don't mind at all! Some very nice cars offered but unfortunetly I don't want a part exchange.
  6. For sale: TSX PROJECTORS with upgraded E30 LENSES Item Condition: USED Price and price conditions: £140 Extra Info: I bought these projectors when I planned to do a projector retrofit on my Aristo. I am only looking to get my money back. These are left had drive projectors, so you will have to change the shields around in the projectors. With the current week pound, buying them from the USA is not as appealing, nor the risk of getting caught by customs. I got them from HID Planet last year because I knew they would be in good condition and from what I have been told they are a matched pair of lenses. I have only really opened the box to look at them and then packed them back up again. I no longer intend to carry out this mod, hence the sale. Pictures: Here is an example of the light output from TSX projectors with e30 lenses. Notice the blue/purple around the light? Thats what the e30 lenses add. Contact Details: Send me a PM Location: Greater Manchester - welcome to collect. Delivery & Conditions of Delivery: £10 for delivery to mainland UK (fragile)
  7. Supposed to be having two people coming today to look at the car.......... Will see what happens.
  8. Got a call from an ebayer yesterday saying he wanted to look at the car. Bit unsure about him because he said he doesn't know ANYTHING about the cars at all. I find that slightly off-putting............ I drove the car today for the first time in about two weeks - flippin' heck I am waining! LOL
  9. Helps if I remember to put the link down! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220376362604&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:GB:1123
  10. Right.......had to relist the thing. The winner has had no luck getting insured....... and the one quote he did get he claims was almost as much as the car! :o I have put the low price down to me setting the auction to end at the time when most people are sleeping and its a week night. The new auction is only 3 days long and end on Sunday evening. Hopefully this attracts more bidders. Thanks, Anees
  11. It sounds more to me like he isn't even getting quoted! I remember when I was looking for a quote when I first got the car - had to ring what felt like every insurance company/broker in the UK and even then only actually got about 3 quotes; the rest refused.
  12. Hi guys, Yeah gutted that I didn't get more for it. However, the guy (from Derby??) has rang me to say he is chasing insurance quotes. This is his first Jap Import and he hadn't realised the insurance costs - he was expecting it to be similar to a GS300. On the phone he did sound quite young too which is worrying for his insurance hunt. To be honest sounds like a time waster because he should have done that research first!! Grrrrr.... I directed him to a list of import insurance companies. Said he will give me a call back tomorrow with what he wants to do. If it doesn't sell (and to be honest I won't be dissapointed if he doesn't take it since I am not really happy with the price!) then its going in Auto trader. Every time I put a car on ebay I get timewasters and cowboys. Last car I tried was bought by someone in Serbia!! Oh well.......... all part of the fun!
  13. Don't know mate - auction is ending at bad time to be fair . almost 12pm! Thats my own fault! Just got to cross fingers and hope for the best.
