  1. it looks poo wihout it. i supose its personal taste. would be better if it was active and came out the back when over 70 etc
  2. i have a vielside tail spoiler fited to my tt and its quit heavy compared to normal one. the stays artn strong enough to keep the lid up, sometimes they are sometimes not. nearly chopped my head off yesterday when it cam down while i was emptying the boot. will new ones solve the problem or is there a heavy duty conversion i can do? regards matt

  4. hi nic, thanks for the advice. thats exactly what i was going to do after getting all the previos replys. when i lift the passenger carpet up under the footwell there is no plastic cover just the two big silver boxes with loads of wires. looks the the ecu and another toyota electronic gizmo. obviously i need to get a plastic cover as people feet are going to be pushing on the ecu throught the carpet. i will check in a minute but i dont remeber seeing anything like an fcd. regards matt
  5. i am ok using apexi boost controller at 1.2 bar with fcd and walbro althought i want to leave second cat on. j spec uk turbos hks cams hks intercooler hks flowmaster 1st decat getting fuel cut off now and again when hitting 1bar regards matt

  7. last night the rubber strip that sits in between the bonnet and the front bumper shot up in the air and over my windscreen. the guy had bodged the seal with some silicone sealer. can you get the rubber seal from toyota or aftermarket, it must be self adhesive i rekon. regards matt
  8. i think ive figured it out. it cut out again tonight at 125, the boost was reading 1 bar. so its def the fcd. i have uk turbos fitted and first decat. i reckon cos the waste gate is bigger on uk turbos the pressure is escaping with no probs, therefore causing boost to be around 0.9 to 1.0 bar instead of 1.4 plus like on th j spec if no restrictor am i talking rubbish or do you think i am about right. anyway so from what everyone in the forum has said, i think if i put an apexi boost control on and an fcd and walbro pump i should be able to boost to 1.2 bar and that should take me around 400 bhp. thats fast enough for me, and with the hks cams and hks big intercooler it should be running nice and cool. water and oil temps never go above 90 and 110. :taped:let me know what you think. regards

  11. i reckon it is limiter, but car is j spec its in km/h and has jap stickers with jap writing in drivers door pillar and under bonnet and on sun visor. if i fit a boost controller and set to 1.1bar will i experience fuel cut of ? i am just not sure how many mods have been done , and i dont want to order a wlabro pump and fcd if it has already got them. the only reason i mention this is because the guy who sold me the car said that it had a boost controller in but he took it out and sold it , as it was never connected? any help would be great thanks guys
  12. actually thinking about it i wonder if it was the 155mph limiter kicking in not fuel cut off? it only does it at 155 not when you boot it at low speeds with same boost.
  13. thanks nic, so if i get 1. egt gauge 2. walbro pump 3. *fcd* 4. *boost controller* 5. your second hand airbox and bits needed 6. wideband sensor & gauge 7. wideband sensor *if i get the emanage does it replace the boost controller, the fcd and the wideband sensor or do i still need them? just trying to figure out which is best way to do it. my aim is to stop the car from hitting fuel cut off. regards matt

My car hit fuel cut i think at 155mph. red triangle lit up in the middle of dash. power completely went for a second then tiangle went off and car was ok again. i pressume i have experienced fuel cut off. running 1st decat pipe with 2nd cat still on hks cams hks induction full hks exhaust hks intercooler j spec with uk turbos boosting at 0.9bar on gauge its sounds to me from what you guys have sad that possibly i havent got an upgraded fuel pump or a fcd? would you agree. regards matt

  18. hi nic, i bought the car from a guy called marcus in witney near oxford. it has already got 3 greddy guages i forgot to mention. one is oil pressure ticking over at 2 bar going to 8 when on full boost. one displays temp around 90 and the other displays temp around 110 so i presume one is oil temp and the other intercooler temp? 1. where do i get a stock airbox from and any other pipes etc, i will need. 2. just found a receipt for new oxygen sensor 3. it already has hks lightened cams 4. currently boosting at .9 bar, would boost controller taking to 1.2 bar actually give me any noticable horsepower increase? thanks a lot guys for the replies, well appreciated matt

I have just bought a 1995 supra tt with quite a few mods already done. i have come out of a 996 turbo (awating my new one) and i was quite suprised how fast the tt was (i think its a hell of a car for 7k, the only thing is missing is the badge. i thought that a tt was a good car to knock around in until my new one comes. i believe it is running around 400 bhp at the moment. if i could tell you what it already has on it maybe you could tell me what i can do next without going to a single turbo conversion. i believe it has the following mods:- single decat pipe (second cat still in place) full hks exhaust system hks induction kit hks intercooler hks bov front tein strutt brace full vielside kit and wing front glass headlights uk spec steel turbos lightweight cams new timing belt full hks suspension uk spec brakes with fastroad pads viscous fan el glow dials (which i dont like) levoc gear lever (looks very smart) bomex front end 18" gto rims clear indicators boosting at around 0.92 bar according to the gauges. anyway i hope you guys can help me. i was thinking maybe and oil cooler, electronic boost controller, walbro fuel pump. also is mobil 1 the best oil to use? every 3500 miles? let me know what you think, i don't want to get too carried away. regards matt
