  1. Thanks man. Lol, yeah i saw it coming too. But judging by the other prices i've been quoted, this was actually the lowest one for a new one.
  2. That would of been nice But you've got to consider that i'm not from the UK and you should of had to send it abroad, so i would of still payed for the shipping. Also, don't think you can't find them in stock at all Toyota dealers in the USA, can you ? I'm afraid is too late Dan. Money has been sent via bank transfer already.
  3. Not really... about 55 pounds for the knob. Add 18 pounds for the shipping from USA, add about 20 pounds for bank transfer charges. Ok...90 ish
  4. Simple. Bought a new one from Toyota for a considerable amount of cash Well at least it's available... and new.
  5. Elmhurst Toyota sell it for 90$ ( 55 pounds) but shipping to Europe + bank fees get you at the same price... Looks like if i don't find a used one, preferably here in Europe, that's what i'm going to pay. It's rare and nice Give you 60 pounds for it?
  6. Toyota dealer asked me for 180 pounds ( Not from UK). From Whifbitz is 90+ shipping or so. That must be real bad lol. Sorry mate but i need one in good condition. Sorry
  7. Last day today. No one want 50 quid for their OEM 6 speed knob ?
  8. I agree. If you are not a weight saving maniac or not interested in bling, just functionality, the UK's are the better option. Neither will disappoint though.
  9. According to K-Sport, with 330mm discs they will fit under 17" wheels but you better get a template first just to be sure that they fit under your wheels.
  10. richardstock1 posted a review of these after coming from UK's. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?206375-K-Sport-Brake-Kits/page7 He was using 356mm discs though. These do not fit under 17" wheels.
  11. K-Sport 8pot F and 4 pot R with 330mm discs. That's why i got for my SZ-R. The advantages over the UK would be stopping power, front calipers require less clearance, less weight, looks. The price is a little higher though.
  12. Thanks Gaz ! Need to replace head unit as well as it's not my style and besides that it's old as my grandmother. Choosing the PIONEER AVH-P2300DVD, along with the OEM knob and leather seats should give the interior quite a change. Don't worry about the gearknob it's in good hands.. NOT.
  13. So you can have all the fun ? No way Now seriously i would prefer to see it shot at. With the luck i've had with this thing, it will probably smack me in the head when i try hammering it, but i'm not in the UK and would be a hassle.
  14. Thanks Steve ! It was quite a hassle but not needing to cut it off really made my day. The interior already looks better without it. I was told Brute Force always wins when removing knobs, i can now confirm lol
  15. Thanks man ! The secret didn't really stand in the dremel or the pliers, but in the hands... I put two high grip gloves and twisted the %&F* out of it and the bottom ring unscrewed. It was easy from there. Thanks everybody for the help and motivation ! BTW I'm doing the head unit next lol
  16. You guys know that this requires another thread don't you
  17. The pleasure of that will be indescribable. It will go down sooner or later, one way or the other. I see. Now looking at his pictures again, it may be possible that the knob rotates and ascends easily at first when rotated counterclockwise, because the middle part ( one that holds the nut from the autoshifter in that thread) is actually screwing off but stops when it reaches the bottom shiny part which is still attached. So that's back to square one...
  18. Hi, Are these available for sale ? Retainer, Assist Grip LOWER AND UPPER ( P/N : 74682-14010 and 74681-14010) Thanks
  19. Found a thread with a similar knob being installed, and by the looks of it, it should just unscrew and come off. Mine easily unscrews but until a point in which it doesn't unscrew anymore or come off. So maybe there is some damage to the thread... Off to the car now for more pulling ... http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178720
  20. I could give this a try, definitely won't spread the debris around. Might take some time though as this thing is solid as steel but should work eventually, i mean some prisoners did cut prison bars this way lol
  21. Cutting it with a grinder would just make a big mess inside the car, that's why i'm just trying to avoid it as much as i can. Wish this could be cut with a bread knife too... but it's a very solid metal thing. The worst spent 10 quid ever for the one who put this over the OEM knob, i'm telling you.
  22. Alright i've been trying all morning now. Let me start with the good news because there isn't any... This thing isn't coming off. None of the seemingly screwable parts are moving, no matter what. Either the previous owner glued them together somehow or the knob is a single piece. I've almost destroyed the area where the shiny ring is attached trying to rotate it with the pliers, so now there is no turning back, i have to get it off. My options now are : 1. Find out who makes it and send them an email asking how to get it off lol 2. Buy one off ebay or amazon for 8 quid or how much they are and see how it comes together 3. No, i will not cut it 4. Change the whole gear lever mechanism Any other suggestions are MOST welcome, even though all logical ones were applied. Alex
  23. Looks fine to me. The best re-trimmed cloth seats i've seen were Jamie's old ones, done at Jurgen in the UK if i recall. Hope you don't mind for the pic Jamie
