  1. Just wondered how it would compare to a BPU Supra, the power specs are close iirc.
  2. Have you managed to have a run against it?
  3. Are you sure that isn't an aftermarket light weight piston?
  4. Just a friendly reminder, you're not supposed to bump threads more than once a week
  5. Before you ask it stands for Monkey Shit Brown
  6. Is that when they were a trader on here or afterwards?
  7. Weight saving? Also note the angle of the OEM radiator.
  8. As there is an American/Canadian telephone number in one of the photos and looking at the cars in the background I would hedge my bets and say it's a scam.
  9. No chance, that car has been involved in a big front crash and poorly repaired by the looks of it. VIC checks aren't worth squat.
  10. At a guess i'd say £15-£20 depending on condition. HTH
  11. It looks like something that dodgy dealer at Restless Customs would tart up with a quick blow over and sell. Look at the panel lines at the front of car and the cable ties holding the front bumper on. The corners where the front bumper meets the wing, the missing bolts from the front wings and the bent rusty slam panel. Look at the arms that the front wings bolt to, they don't look to be in great condition either. The missing weather strip, missing fan shroud, multi coloured rubber hose, dodgy intake, rusty metal panel in front if it, poorly fitted & painted body kit. Fake 19" BBK wheels, I bet the ride is sublime! I'm guessing the cat C relates to a front end write off. Someone is chancing their arm.
  12. How old is the Gates hose and would you be prepared to split from the hard VAC lines?
  13. If you can't budge on price you need to go back a re-evaluate what is important to you. I don't mean to be personal but how do you expect to insure, maintain and pay for the running costs of a single TT6 if you can't afford one? The market dictates the cost and the more truculent you are about this the worse it get. No offence intended but you appear to have champagne tastes on a beer budget. What you think a mint single TT6 can be bought for and the reality are poles apart. Trying to convince members to sell their car for less than it's worth isn't going to work either, i'd imagine most will ignore you and some might send a reply you aren't too happy about reading.
  14. Barge poles for both sides, are you sure? I Don't think it will look as good as OEM skirts if I am being honest, maybe you could photoshop them on first.
  15. Have you managed to find out anything regarding life span?
  16. Found this on the net when looking for comparisons, it seems Carcoon is the best out there.
  17. Try Tim (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/member.php?35697-TBDevelopments) at TB Developments, I believe he deals a lot with Garrett.
  18. One that doesn't have a ridiculous price tag i.e. one that isn't out of his budget going by the op.
  19. Assuming it's the same car he was talking about in his wanted thread...
  20. Does the auto ratio suit the R154 box better than the manual ratio?
  21. Steve's car was only for sale at that price due to the gearbox issue. You won't get a perfect condition single 6 speed for 21K, I can't see anyone shooting themselves in the foot selling one for that price when they can be broken for more. 21K isn't enough money to tempt any member to sell. Didn't Jake aka Ripped Fear turn down a 30k offer for his BPU TT 6? Have you seen the recent pricing for TT6's? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?341971-1998-Toyota-Supra-VVTi-Twin-Turbo-in-RSP-Blue-Stunning! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?341303-1996-Gunmetal-Facelift-V161-6-speed http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?341545-1994-Supra-TT6-Black-BPU-the-one-to-have http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?340011-Toyota-Supra-RZ-TT6-BPU-1996-Orange
