1. There are 3 different part numbers for 3 different OEM keys. 90999-00185 90999-00186 90999-00188
2. FSR Motorsport in the US do a really nice cast manifold if you wanted something slightly different - http://fsrmotorsports.com/component/virtuemart/?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=129&category_id=22&Itemid=87
3. If you have the standard j-specs rather than the larger OEM 4 pot front, 2 pot rear set up you will need to use different discs and pads. Toyota can supply the discs and pads or if you want to mix and match then get the OEM discs and CW's pads.
4. You don't seem to be having much luck with Amayama or SM @ Toyota. What are you local guys like? What about TCB? Trying to get a discount is from my local Mr T is akin to getting blood from a stone. Sometimes it's nothing, others 5% and if I am very lucky it's 10%. They claim their prices are set by Toyota and that they don't make a lot on parts, unlike other brands.
5. Brakes for sale here if you want to upgrade - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?344674-UK-Spec-Brakes-complete-Set Forget drilled or grooved. You can't get much better than OEM discs with either Chris Wilson pads or Porterfield pads, although I believe the Porterfield can be quite dusty.
6. Doesn't the Blackjax void the Cat 1 status/cover from the alarm in the same way their intellistart does?
7. Shocking. If you want a Supra then buy a Supra. If you want a Rolls-Royce Phantom then buy one of those instead. I can appreciate the kit and the amount of hours it must have taken to get that car looking like that. It's just not for me
8. Unfortunately I can't imagine there are a glut of ISF boxes available either, unlike the BMW.
9. Very nice it is too It goes really well with my 22" wheels, +20 offset, rubber band tyres and air suspension. Once you upped the negative camber it really helped finish the car off!
10. No worries. It looks like time has been kind to her, you have a good one there.
11. Perfect thanks, I did read that but wasn't too sure.
12. Interesting mod, can you still retain the manual function of the box and engine braking?
13. Michelin Pilot Super Sport or the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 info below. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Michelin/Pilot-Sport-4.htm http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/91858/michelin-pilot-sport-4-review
14. The car everyone said was going to be the new Supra wasn't
15. I know there is, it just wasn't the car people purported it was going to be.
16. Recirculation valves are fitted by manufacturers to stop the noise of compressor stall. I've never seen any evidence to backup the claims of increased longevity of a turbo nor have I seen a turbo killed because the engine wasn't running a BOV. Chris Wilson doesn't run a BOV on his race Skyline which pretty much says it all for me. Every International Group C sports car to 1991 no BOV Every F1 car from 1979 to 1988 no BOV Every Indy car from 1970 to 2006 (maybe beyond) no BOV DJR Group A Sierra till its last races no BOV Nissan say they only run one to reduce noise. The CA18DET has no BOV. If you have a look at the engines that have had them fitted, you will notice that they got fitted at the factory after the new/tighter noise and pollution restrictions came out. But if you like the sound get one
17. Avoid GRAMS (because it's GRAMS), if you are looking for drop in injectors into an OEM fuel rail then SARD are the obvious possibly only choice. Just get them flow tested and the spray pattern checked before fitting them. I believe ASNU are linked to Bosch in some way, maybe rebranded(?).
18. purpledragon if you have an issue with azam surely it would be better to take it up with him via the pm system or via email rather than on the forum? If it was an eBay purchase then look at Paypal as you are covered for 6 months. IMO this should remain out of a for sale thread that has absolutely nothing to do with your purchase. If it was bought from here then there is the disputes section in the members only part of the forum.
19. Hot air from the engine bay won't give you more power, stick with the stock airbox and an aftermarket panel filter.
