2nd Cat

First cat, the second cat is the midpipe that bolts to the exhaust.
2. That is an OEM line from when the lights were two separate units internally, nothing wrong with them at all.
3. What is your current rear tyre size? Are you talking about the the smaller 200mm diff or the larger 220mm diff?
4. The whole kit from Speedwells is just under 3K.
5. Back on topic and free bump for a lovely car.
6. There is someone out there for every type of Supra but it is what the vast majority seek that command a premium. Taking the US as an example. A stock Supra commands big money as the majority of US Supra owners want a solid base to work from when building a big power car. I have read about stock cars get sold and singled in under a month! They seem reluctant to buy an already built car and prefer to build their own. Buying an already built car will save you money if it’s exactly what you want but more than likely it will be a compromise.
7. If you liked that, see his first attempt here - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?241651-My-Super-Widebody-Aero-VVTi-Turbo-6sp-project
8. Loads of info about the car here - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?317999-Project-Super-widebody-BOMB-2 E2A That car is over priced in my opinion, looks like the seller let his heart rule his head if the purchase price is to be believed.
9. Nope, it’s far too heavily modified. He is just doing what he does best by pi55ing on another members for sale advert as he suffers from OEM superiority complex.
10. Surely that is the whole point behind the Authorised Traders section on the forum?

13. The OEM radiator has been discontinued. Give Chris Wilson a shout (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/member.php?54-Chris-Wilson), he has replacement radiators in stock at a very good price.
14. Converted UK specs should look like this.
15. Using the search function will reveal a whole host of hidden treasures - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?318278-What-have-you-done-to-your-Supra-today
16. ^ Ouch! This was spoken about in the OPs other thread here - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?350016-Newbie It’s a tribute rather than a replica, taking inspiration from the hero car and it does have some nice provenance. I’m looking forward to seeing how this pans out
17. You fitted 9.5 wheels all round to combat the understeer?
18. It’s a discontinued item, no longer available. I believe CW had a new OEM for sale, if he still has it is another question entirely. Last time I spoke with CW about this I believe he said a group buy was possible. There is a company selling a replacement but from reports I have read don’t expect it to keep you warm or cold when needed.
19. To be fair it’s not been “bad mouthed” on the forum and it’s not upsetting “the purists” or “jealous forum members” as you put it The car was being discussed as it is just another example of a trader/seller incorrectly or half heartedly creating the hero car from F&F then charging a massive premium for the privilege. Personally, I think the car was over priced for what it is and the seller was pushing their luck but if you are happy with the it and the price you paid then that is all that matters As Mike said above, everybody has their own idea of what a Supra should look like and diversity is what makes this forum. If everyone owned a stock OEM Supra it would be pretty boring. Also a wee bit of advice. Rather than coming on here with preconceived ideas already in your head and being defensive from the outset wait and see what happens. It will make the forum a nicer place to be and it’s members a lot more friendly Get a project thread started with lots of pictures and information. I can’t wait to see what you are going to do and how she currently stands as classified adverts rarely do these cars justice.
20. Tyres usually have an “ideal” foot print on a specific width range, if your wheel is narrower than the ideal width range then the result is sidewalls bow resulting in a squirmy mid corner. Tyres that are mounted on wheels wider than its ideal foot print may result in the “stretched” sidewall which doesn’t create the ideal contact patch and results in reduced grip. High horsepower rear wheel drive means the more “meat” across the rear axle is a requirement to capably deliver power and handling. 40 is known to be the best all round profile. I will also tentatively add my understanding of things go like this... Staggered tyre setups on performance vehicles can help to achieve a desired handling balance. That balance isn’t all about outright grip and performance. They can also encourage a level of predictable handling. Having smaller width tyres on the front axle generally produces understeer near the handling limit. A square tyre setup will produce more front end grip when cornering as the front end of the car feels more “planted” due to the greater contact patch. That said, having never run a square set up I couldn’t advise. You have an option to run the same size all round, 255 front and rear or 265 front and rear. If you want to run different widths go with a 255 for the front and 265 for the rear although this defeats the object of running a square set up. A 245 on the front is going to be stretched and a 275 will more than likely balloon.

22. Chris Wilson fast road pads or Porterfield but the latter are dusty.
