  1. Rough guide prices and agreed values are always being posted about. Loads of info on the forum, have a search. Remember, you will need to prove to your insurance company it is worth what you are saying it is.
  2. Yes, not a great time of year to be selling. I certainly wouldn't be dropping the price anymore. It might be worth your while mentioning (in the OP) what diff is fitted too.
  3. I bought my replacement OEM from Chris Wilson and he did have a few in stock. Quick turn around too. Mobile 07971 952 084 or email [email protected]. STRICTLY NO PMS!!!
  4. Unless it is done like this - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?343109-Burna-s-UK-Spec-Restoration then he is wasting your time and his money. Make sure you get photos of the work he is doing because if he is like most of the importers the car will get a cursory covering of black to make it all look nice whilst trapping debris, rust and water close to the bodywork.
  5. You should also be mentioning that Intellistart voids any UK insurance cover.
  6. Best place for independent reviews - https://www.avforums.com/tvs/reviews/
  7. With some cutting and welding yes. Not as a straight swap. EDIT The placement of the intake ports on the TT head is slightly different than the na, meaning the TT intake manifold will not bolt directly onto the head. It would be possible to cut and splice TT intake and NA lower runners so that the TT upper intake manifold bolts on but all the examples I've seen leave the intake sitting very high and towards the right and the port matching is still a nightmare.
  8. If it ain't broke don't fix it is definitely another train of thought. Were you disappointed with how the car performed when you bought her? I'm guessing not. I was interested in her when Dan put her up for sale all those years ago but you beat me to a viewing This car is a well thought out build, right down to the most minute of details. That single kit is really something else too. As I mentioned in my earlier post, if you change to the 3.266 you will loose torque (not sure how much) but will gain in top end. It all depends on what you want to use the car for. Knowing the build Dan undertook, I could imagine in his eyes it was the best compromise all round. Have you used the diff ratio calculator to see exactly what the difference in speed is depending on which gear is selected and what difference there is in top speed when comparing the ratios to each other? With the scarcity & mental prices the larger diffs sell for (excluding the TRD internals and new larger shafts), l would think that you could get everything you want and still have money left over. Worst case scenario pricing if going with the smaller diff; Open A diff (£150) Rebuild using new OEM parts (£400) 3.266 ring & pinion (£650) Superior 1.5 way OS Giken LSD (£1400) Billet diff cover for added bling "strength" (£800)
  9. Increase their value, the MKV is a joke and just a BMW with a Toyota badge. Have a read here - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?349412-Supra-MkV-launch-and-updates-thread/page14
  10. Chris Wilson would definitely be my first point of call and he will be your closest I think. Mobile 07971 952 084 or email [email protected]. STRICTLY NO PMS!!!
  11. Either your maths is terrible or you've been drinking? From the OP From a few posts up.
  12. Since when did sticks and stones stop being relevant? What goes on between you and David has absolutely nothing to do with me or anyone else reading the posts in this thread for that matter. I'm sure your a big boy with strong shoulders, just brush yourself off and move on. Thank you for posting your findings and finally posting your answer to the other problem thread you solved. Much appreciated.
  13. So how did you solve this problem? It would be nice for your to post up what you have done or how you solved this so future members can search and find a potential answer. Regardless of Davids replies towards you, are you the sort of member who only wants to come on here when you have a problem to get it solved or are you prepared to put back into the club what you get out of it? Coming from someone who has taken the time to reply to problems you have had in the past I am surprised to see this sort of behaviour. Are you prepared to do the decent thing and let others know the answer?
  14. Hi Phil. As both Scooter and myself said above, it will fit. You just need to strip your diff with the A01B & 4.083 swap ratios then put it back inside.
  15. Looks like it. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?349056-1994-Toyota-Supra-Twin-Turbo-Auto-UK-Spec-Storm-Blue-(Fresh-Respray-glass-out-job) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-SUPRA-TWIN-TURBO-2JZ-UK-SPEC-STORM-BLUE-1-OF-300/323691017445?hash=item4b5d7cf4e5:g:31IAAOSwHOtcYemq:rk:5:pf:0
  16. ATF make the best transmissions but they are based in the US. Have a read of a recent thread where I have posted some relevant autobox info for another member - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?352279-Fitting-new-fuel-rail-and-injectors&p=4289875&viewfull=1#post4289875
  17. This^ Fit an inline thermostat and temperature gauge (with alarm) for the box too.
  18. Yes, its an off/on switch which can be mounted anywhere. I wouldn't recommend having the car mapped with it on for the reasons you state and wanting it as a safety feature. You want to keep the install as simple as possible. Gearbox sumps look like the images below, credit goes to DavidP.
  19. Suspension you should consider buying new new from Chris Wilson. As you are going back to 16's it is going to be your best bang for buck at £1250. It's his fast road set up with custom valved Bilsteins shocks and progressively wound springs. Zunsport buy new, there is also a forum discount code you can use. EDIT Here you go - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?236122-15-or-20-off-Zun-Sport-grilles&highlight=zunsport+discount
  20. No problem re the help There can be only positives when running WI providing it is set up correctly. A few manufacturers cars come with it already fitted from the factory now. Its good to run one on a turbocharged car regardless of power. I have an oldish Aquamist kit and I use a true (done on weight rather than volume) 50/50 mix using 99.95% Methanol. The Aquamist kits are good but they are becoming very complicated, unnecessarily so. Their pump appears to be the same generic pump all the WI companies use which is a shame as the original Aquamist pump looked great and worked very well. Mine is set up via a pressure switch on the intake to come on at 1bar. It feeds from the washer bottle in the engine bay and the mix doubles up as my screen wash. The car was mapped without the WI as I wanted it for a safety feature rather than for performance gains. Forgot to mention the sump, it is from a Lexus GS300. Part number 35106-30210.
  21. Irrespective of headroom I would get shot of those SARD injectors. Their spray pattern isn't great and there is much better tech the market now. The engine bay looks nice and an aftermarket fuel rail would set it off a treat Grab a PHR fuel rail - https://www.powerhouseracing.com/product/4625/phr-fuel-rail-for-2jzgte and some ASNU 800cc injectors - http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/toyota/supra/fuel-parts/asnu-performance-injectors-2jzgte.html After melting the piston is there any reason you haven't considered fitting a water/meth injection kit to reduce temperatures? Yes, the autobox is the weakest link but it doesn't have to be. Have a chat with David he can tell you exactly what to do and what parts you need to use strengthen the box to hold the power. Your alternative is sending it to the US to be built by the guys at ATF Speed - https://www.atfspeed.com/A340E_c_218.html. The torque really needs to be bought on gradually by the mapper and I cannot stress that enough. Torque needs to be limited to something safe too. Adequate cooling (ideally 2x coolers) with an inline thermostat combined with regular filter/fluid changes will help extend the life considerably. You can use Lucas Oil Transmission Fix Stop Slip as a preventative measure and consider fitting a good quality gauge with an alarm like Stack (https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/stack-pro-control-oil-temperature-gauge-st3509-10) so you can keep an eye on temperatures too. Every little helps.
