  1. Try this guy Craig - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?355036-Standalone-ECU-for-ITB-Build
  2. The GT86 was called a spiritual successor to Toyota’s first MR2 but they didn't call it an MR2. Therein lies the rub. This car has been produced by BMW and Toyota have clearly done as little as possible to make this car any different from the hairdressers soft top BMW sell. They have done little more than slap a new, old style badge on the car and made it a hardtop. The proof can be seen with recent part failures, failing with known BMW issues. Then there is the BMW recall on seven MKV's due to bad welds on seatbelt mounts. So bad it is rumoured a repair is out of the question. The cars are supposed to be scrapped and the customers given new vehicles. Clearly Toyota reliability and high standards are a thing of the past. By all means produce the car in a joint venture. But when the linage of the MKIV and it's predecessors can be traced back to the 2000GT don't use the Supra name to sell it. Call it something different. The MKV is as much as Supra as Bruce Jenner is a woman.
  3. Not to Jesus it wasn't, thats why it was named after him. Pilate said he was a terrible passenger in the chariot races.
  4. Up the rev limit to 7200 so it's the same as the VVT-i and you should get there.
  5. In theory isn't it a fraction over 200mph using an auto rear end and 17" wheels. I would imagine you would need some room to hit that though.
  6. You have been a member on here long enough to know what does and what doesn't work with regards to putting the power down. But you keep telling yourself that if it makes you sleep better at night
  7. Mileage approx 50k miles or 81818 kms. Registered in UK June 2003 with 19,800 miles on the clock.
  8. Why don't you make an air box and use the OEM cold air feeds to supply it whist isolating the intake from the hot air in the bay? This was done on a single but the same principal would apply.
  9. You're not going to like this but the 30 profile is too small and the wheel size is too big. A larger rear profile will give you more sidewall, better grip under acceleration and more predictable handling. You need more side wall on your tyres if you want to put the power down. As you have modified your Supra so much the best advice on how to cure this problem will come from Chris Wilson. The S6 will work with the expander but the S6-Plus won't. I have Michelin Pilot Sport 4 PS4 245/40/18 on the front and Michelin Pilot Super Sport 265/40/18 on the rear but the car is only BPU.
  10. I haven't ever heard of that happening to any Supra. My thoughts are only about a potential shunt. Nothing more sinister. The Supra is a well made beast.
  11. See what other members with white cars in similar condition to yours have to say. I would start a new thread asking for members to post photos of the same area, so you can compare. Forgive me but I forget was yours sold as having any paintwork or repair work done? To me, they are essentially telling you to f*@k off... At the very least after what you have paid I would have expected them to ask you to bring it on so they can get it looked at.
  12. Another vote for paint work and potential overspray. Loosen the ariel off and look around the grommet, you will also see the interior of the rear arch behind the boot trim. Lift the boot seal, loosen the rubber mount and check around the rear arch. Might be worth removing the rear light on that side too. Check the floor pan for wrinkles on too.
  13. The car belongs to Mark aka Mac Srt and it was built built at JM Imports. He bought it stock IIRC then spent a tonne of cash on the car. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/member.php?45581-Mac-Srt
  14. Fitting instructions here - rear-sun-roof-visor.pdf
  15. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?345890-Bit-more-of-an-update-on-the-quot-affordable-quot-single-turbo-kits&p=4247015#post4247015
  16. This ^ I wouldn't be throwing your GZ up for that price, they are the closest thing Japan got to a limited edition model and i'm sure you could figure out how many in your spec were built. Don't be so hasty, take a look around then chose the price you want. Also get your Supra registered here (https://thesupraregistry.com) E2A I would also add, your Supra will be in more demand than the yellow one that sold on here.
  17. That is probably because it wasn't, they just squashed the FT1 from all angles until it fitted the Z4 chassis
  18. There is already a single turbo manifold available!
  19. You might want to read this (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?285573-Sales-Thread-Template-Please-copy-and-paste-this) as you are dealing with the boss
  20. No idea in all honesty. The ones I have seen in person whilst in the US appear to have a little downwards tilt to them but it could just be me.
