I don't know what you want me to say. This isn't smoke and mirrors and all the information is taken directly from each manufactures website. BMW list that as their OTR price, what ever that means. If this includes tax or not, well your guess is as good as mine. But could it be listed (trades description) as an OTR price if it wasn't. i.e. tax was on top. If you start taking tax into consideration then that will only increase the difference unless you are saying the BMW price doesn't include VAT at 20% whilst Toyota does. Something doesn't add up and it doesn't look good.

Petes post piqued my curiosity so I specifically looked at the base model on the UK and USA websites for Toyota and BMW. I took a screenshot of the pricing from each website (attached under this) and converted the prices using https://www.xe.com which will obviously change as it was done at yesterdays rates. I can't explain it but it's there for all to see in black and white. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with all the R&D. BMW's have been notoriously expensive to mod so hopefully now with the Toyota guys getting involved we will see great things happening. The engine seems a potential beast in the making. I wonder if the GT4 will be at Le Mans?

I think that is pretty much a given but 15K for a badge Do you think Toyota even bother to ask a customers name or offer up lube before bend them over the office desk? Combine the above with fitting a MKIV rear wing (a wing that served a functional purpose on the MKIV as was seen in the wind tunnels) onto the MKV with what one assumes involved no R&D on their part and a set of halo ring facelift rears. It all screams of sheer desperation to be accepted.

That is Zupr4 base model to Z4 base model. Apples to Apples comparison This car has no heritage or connection to the rest of the family so my money is on Toyota riding on the coat-tails of previous marque. Their mini Nürburgring must have cost them a pretty penny so maybe they are trying to make some money back. My hope is the MKV has been a marketing and funding exercise and that any MKVI will be a pure breed once again with Toyota doing it all in house.

But that doesn't appear to be the case with the BMW/Zupr4m base model when bought in the UK. If buying a base model Zupr4 in the UK you can expect to pay £15,580 or $20,458.43 in comparison to the Z4. If buying in the USA the prices are a lot closer. $200 or £220.85 difference for the base model. It can't be shipping costs because the fifth generation Zupr4 is assembled alongside the G29 BMW Z4 in Graz, Austria. Something doesn't add up. 15K's worth?

Looks like we are using the same site, do you know if these figures pretty accurate? EDIT Just seen the photo That spoiler fits the rear end of the car as well as OJ's glove did in court and those "Heritage" edition rear lights. This forum desperately needs a vomit emoji.

These cars started increasing in value around '15-'16. I think Rob was very unfortunate as his was written off by the insurance in '17 which would have been around the time the insurance companies started bulking at the inflation that was going on. It's a shame we didn't ever get a conclusion to his nightmare but I understand why he walked away. The whole scenario must have left a very bitter taste in his mouth especially when it wasn't anything to do with him. To me that just reiterates the importance of agreed value as you can't predict other people actions, especially when they are paralytic!

Some dog grooming clippers I inherited from my aunt when she retired. They are oldish (60's-70's) possibly an A5 model looking at them. Oster 97 are the ones I would use if buying a new set. 45W motor and supplied with their 0000 (1/100" or 0.25mm) shaving blade. Being USA made means some models need an adaptor but the 97 should be golden for UK use. Just double check they come with a blade and UK 3 pin plug. EDIT Looking at their site it looks like the 97 might be discontinued, the classic 76 seems to be the more updated version. In my opinion yes. I have an agreed value and wouldn't be without it. Read lbm's thread (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?343895-Hello-and-goodbye) to see what can happen to your Supra if you don't have an agreed value.

Nope, I don't see the point in buying something that will wear out with use. I have tried all sorts over the years. Razors, safety razors I even taught myself how to use a cut throat thinking it would be better. I stuck with that for approx a year then moved back to clippers. I have tried other head shaving gadgets and at the end of the day they are nothing more than snake oil. Trying to solve a problem that just doesn't exist. Oster clippers is where it is at. They aren't light but are well made and if looked after properly will last a lifetime.

UK'ers have been on the UK roads at the worst 26 years and at the very best 23 years. Take into consideration how wet the UK is and how much salt they throw on our roads. They are laggier than a J-spec, have smaller turbos than the j-spec but have the refinements of leather heated seats and the infamous rear foglight switch. They do have stronger suspension components but what use they are now I couldn't say as they must be past their best and in need of refreshing unless you find a well cared for low miler or a concours example. They were a smaller run so most OEM parts are very hard to come by and very expensive when you do. As an example the rear diff coolers are rotting away and can't be replaced. I believe the diff pump can be rebuilt but again I believe it's discontinued now too. Then there is the UK hood scoop, snorkel to cool the rear cylinders, glass headlights and rear lights. They are discontinued too. But the cars command a higher resale price because of the low numbers available. If you are looking to jump on another Supra I would suggest looking for the cleanest best functioning example you can. Don't be put off by high miles if it's a mint example with a verifiable history. I have been shaving my head for over 25 years, I have tried all manor of gadgets to get the job done better and quicker. I have always gone back to the the clippers. If it ain't broke don't fix it

Just get yourself a decent set of clippers, remove the blade protector and put it on it's lowest setting. Usually .5mm. Then look forward to shaving your head on a weekly basis!

Yep, UK pricing doesn't surprise me. Try Amayama (https://www.amayama.com/en) despite what others say, many people, myself included always get an impeccable service from them. Sometimes you may have to wait a little longer than others for parts to arrive. Communication is spot on, usually a day to get a reply because of the time difference. Also don't forget to factor in shipping, handling and import duty with any order you place. With the pound (£) gaining because of yesterdays election result it's also a good time to put in any orders as the prices will all be a little bit cheaper. P.S. Did you try TCB?
