Cheers Mike. TBH there are several I have reported that have been left untouched that don’t fall within the time period of 30 days so I was looking for clarification. It appears that you are the only one active mod holding the fort again...

So what are the forum rules regarding members and traders removing prices from adverts and adding “sold” in its place? Does this rule apply to parts, cars or both? Traders and members alike or a rule for one and a rule for another? I though the forum rule was all for sale posts, no matter what, were to have the prices kept for future reference?

Remember the nice Blue one Havard missed out on? I don’t think it is. Jellybean on here has number 26 and Jurgen had one for sale not too long ago. It would be interesting to know what price he got for it. Autos are mostly faster and a well set up BPU auto TT used to be faster than most 6 speed singles over the 1/4 mile.

To get it to close you need to remake the metal plate that sits under the bonnet to clear the strut. 3D printing probably wouldn’t stand up to the heat and would be so much more expensive than getting something fabricated.

Managed to fit a small puller on mine which were original to the car so stuck fast. It was the only way I could get them off without damaging anything. Good luck.

Bit of history on the HKS kit. In the early part of 2000 HKS sold adapters to make the GT25 and GT28 turbos work with the stock manifold and stock piping. These turbos were standard upgrades and direct bolt-ins for the GT-R and 300ZX of the same time period. They are also internal wastegate turbos like the OEMs so there wasn't any need to modify the manifold. Small pipes were also fab'd up to route the exhaust gas back just as it does in the OEM setup. The one thing HKS couldn't ever overcome was the "pre-spool" of the second turbo. When the valve opened up to allow the exhaust gas to pre spool the second turbo, there would be a "shock" to the turbine shaft of the second turbo. At transition there is a massive dip (loss of TQ & HP) then it builds back up. Over time this shock to the turbine shaft caused the second turbo to fail. The system/set-up always worked much better in TTC but made less power and and was no more responsive than a small single on a log-style cast iron manifold. At the time these turbos were circa $1800 each. Once the turbo blew the cost of replacing it was so prohibitive people just went single and the kits were discontinued.

Glad to hear it’s not for sale. Thing is, this is pretty special and rare. GZ Aero, big Diff, manual 6 speed. It ticks all the right boxes for a car of this type. Then the T04Z is lovely in a old skool way. Ability to back to stockish. I’m going 40K. What do I win?
