    Finally!

It would appear that I've been registered on this forum since 2008, and 5 years later I finally bought myself a Supra! Previous cars have all been Hondas, but I've always had my eye on a Supra and when I sold my DC5 to free up some funds for my wedding in September I decided to scratch that itch. The car is an SZ Manual has only been in the country since 2005. The guy I bought the car from was an absolute gentleman and it had been his wife's car up until they had a kid and it's hardly been driven. Came with a few nice bits and pieces as you can see Full Respray in an Alfa Grey / Blue metallic De spoilered (properly, no holes in the bootlid) Veilside (i think) rear spats OEM J spec sideskirts Bomex type 2 front lip (again I think) Volk C's Ultra 17's First impressions are great! Looking forward to doing a few bits and pieces to it and plan on holding onto it for a while!
  2. Hey guys, i was there as a part of hondatech.co.uk. Was over talking to a few of the guys from your stand as i think a supra is the next step up from my integra. I just wanted to say, all the guys i spoke to were spot on, really helpful, and the stand was looking well. wasnt aware you had problems, but from an outsaide viewpoint, your stand was one of the better ones.
  3. Sounds good! So whens the next supra meet in our neck of the woods then?
  4. haha!! yeh the car was featured in fastcar a few months ago. I think its due for another few features over the next month or so but they were from when the previous owner still had the car. I had an email from banzai asking if they could photograph it when they come up to crail this month which should be cool! To be honest the car has had a few teething problems since i've had it which have meant i've not really been able to put the boot down and experience the torque steer in all its glory The worst of which was a problem with the wastegate bolts coming loose from the manifold under load. Im also waiting on an HKS twinpower unit to be fitted as theres quite a weak spark on the older hondas. Thanks for all the kind comments about the colour, like i said, i just fell in love with that picture of the supra i posted The car is insured on a mini fleet policy through my work so i dont need to worry about that aspect of it. as for MSB...anyone care to tell me what it actually stands for when its no monkey s**t brown?
  5. Had one yesterday thanks very much. Was a mess in the picture, hence the hat Next up is an AVCR so i can programme boost through gear identification. Hopefully going to get some more usability in the lower gears
  6. Not sure if this is the right section but since its a thread only partially related to supra's, i figured i would post in here. I signed up to this forum a few months ago as i was in the process of selling my civic coupe with the intention of buying a TT supra. Things didnt go exactly to plan and when the opportunity arose to stay honda and own something out of the ordinary I ended up buying this: A 96 spec Honda Integra Type R. I was never a huge fan of the colour but the spec of the car speaks for itself and the now turbo'd b18 engine produces 396bhp at 1.0bar J.E Forged Pistons 9.0 Darton Sleeves Crower Rods Crower Turbo Cams Stage 2 Crower Titanium Retainers Crower Valve Springs Crower Valves Greddy Oil Catch Tank Exedy Twin Plate Paddle Clutch Exedy Flywheel Edelbrock Victor X intake manifold Edelbrock Throttlebody Skunk 2 Adjustable Pulleys Downpipe InlinePro Manifold Compatible 3.0" Downpipe DRAG Piping Kit Exhaust Manifold InlinePro Cast Stainless Steel Fuel Injectors Set of 4 RC Engineering 750cc Saturated Earthing kit AEM Fuel Rail AEM FPR Fuel Pump Walbro 255lph-HP In-Tank Intercooler Precision 750hp - 31.5"x10.3"x3.5" Misc. Never ever found out the proper name as it was always affectionatly reffered to as "monkey s**t brown". after searching the forum i absolutly fell in love with it and this car in particular was a major influence on me. not sure who's it is, but what a gorgeous car! anyway, i decided to go for a full respray in this colour (1a1) and here's the end results! Im hoping you can appreciate the colour on a different car and i hope to meet some of you at JAE again this year. Would be nice to get some pics alongside some supras of the same colour, especially that one up there ^^ It had still to be flattened and polished at this stage and it looks even better now that has been done! Again, i appologise if this is in the wrong section

    Hello

Hi there, my names Kev, im 23 and I live just outside glasgow. I am currently the very proud owner of a honda civic coupe. To be honest all i really know is Hondas and i've had some great times building and driving them over the last few years. however i feel that it's time to move on and the world of Honda doesnt really offer a step up from where i am just now. I drive a black honda civic coupe with a h22a conversion and Its great fun to drive, but im starting to crave more power and as far as bang for the buck goes, i'd much rather have a supra than another Honda. I was fortunate enough to attend at JAE last year with hondatech but found myself spending a lot of time staring at the the mkiv supra stand and despite the fact i've never driven one, i've always loved the shape of the mkiv and im basically looking for some advise on whether you think this is a sensible direction for me to head in. Insurance is not a problem the car will be registered through the fleet policy on the work which wont rule out a TT. Anyone on here moved from honda to toyota care to share their views on this? heres a pic of my coupe for anyone who cares I look forward to reading your replies!
