  1. Different brakes mate. Those were Brembo SRT8 calipers that Chris had.
  2. Presuming you have the standard 'Supra fitment' CCWs? If so, they are 18x10 +44 up front as it stands. Usually they'd come with a 3mm or 5mm slip on spacer to clear UK brakes. If you are putting on a 15mm spacer, you're effectively making the wheel 18x10 +29. I'm going to assume you are running either a 265/35/18 or 285/30/18? You may find that you'll struggle to fit them under your arch. Depends how low you run the car right enough but it'll sit very close.
  3. I've been playing gigs reasonably often for the past 10 years, usually locally (Aberdeen) or just around Scotland in general. In 2013 I supported metal legends Anvil in July, then went on a 10 day European tour to Prague and back, doing 10 shows in 10 days. This one is a bit surreal though - I'm going to be playing on the main stage at Hellfest in Clisson, France in June 2017! Our name - Ray Brower - may only be little and at the bottom right of all of the bands on said stage, but it's going to be a fantastic experience I'm sure! Can't wait to share the stage with one of my favourite bands too, Slayer! If any of you are into metal, then I hope to see you there BUZZING! http://www.hellfest.fr/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/poster-full-line-up.jpg
  4. The profile is a percentage of the width, so a 30 profile on a 315 is going to give a larger sidewall than a 30 profile on a 265/275 etc. In fact, a 315/30 has a bigger sidewall (94.5mm) than a 265/35 (92.75mm). A benefit of dropping to an 18" would be that you could get more sidewall in there due to losing 1" diameter on the rim. 275/30/19 is only 0.4" smaller than 285/35/18 for example. A 295/30/18 would give a bigger sidewall, bigger width and more arch clearance due to being smaller in diameter. The tyres are probably cheaper too. I run a 295/30/18 R888 on the rear just now and don't have any traction issues whatsoever.

  7. Yep - 7200rpm stock for a VVTi: Also the 280bhp value for all j-spec TTs...
  8. I've stickied the 2017 and removed the 2016 threads, though I don't have permissions to add a promo line - a red will need to come to the rescue for that
  9. Perhaps all of the stock models were out of action this year.
  10. I'm sure the RSR GT2 I had on my first Supra was 3.25". Fantastic sounding exhaust that was!

    Gtr vs supra

My Supra against a 620bhp GTR from 50-130mph consisted of the GTR going about 1-2 car lengths ahead almost immediately, but not pulling any further than that. From a standing start, the same GTR ate me alive.
  12. 18x10 +35 is snug enough for the front (basically flush). You'd never get them under there with a spacer! These are 18x9.5 +21: https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/14670831_563202997913_8649549548209944920_n.jpg?oh=f7bcf3a8eaafa47c04dd3e34d35579e1&oe=58C772CB https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13508894_558743963853_8628171184207108340_n.jpg?oh=16af064a0157b6573828269ff0dabfff&oe=58C386F0 https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13516383_558730720393_5991366200422742001_n.jpg?oh=ca687cbf00d24f25a165f4785d70841b&oe=58CA5525 I have a 245/40/18 on there just now and they scrub at times. I'll need to go down to a 235 or 225 to avoid that. 18x10 +20 (your +35 with 15mm spacer) would poke an extra 7.4mm more than this. No chance (Well, unless you go for a 225/35 or something, then maybe just!)
  13. http://www.titanmotorsports.com/900160mph.html 15x10 here as well.
  14. Have a read here Shawn: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?217594-Average-guy-s-review-of-325-50-15-s&highlight=325/50/15 Seems some are using a 15x10, 15x10.5 or 15x11 with a 325/50/15 radial.
  15. Yeah I imagine you'll need J-spec rear brakes to get 15" wheels on there.
  16. James

    Is it worth it?

My clutch was £3k alone. Depends on the extent to which you go, which parts you are buying, new vs used, paying for labour vs DIY etc. I can see it hitting £10k before labour very easily with all things considered. Even things like potentially needing stickier tyres may need to be considered depending on what is currently in use.
  17. How did you get on with this issue in the end Alex - did you manage to resolve it?
  18. I'm so happy you have this No problem re the calipers! Looking forward to seeing it out and about soon.
  19. CCW Classics 'Supra Fitment' are 11.5" ET50.8 at the rear. So we'll call it 51 Standard for up front is 10" ET44. Then with the 3mm or 5mm spacer it is equivalent to ET41/ET39, depending on which is used. I had a 5mm with mine. 285/30/18 R888 and it sat great.
  20. I like to think I did haha - I did it myself using a mate's garage! Nobody to blame if anything goes wrong this time! Though, I actually took care to install it properly without tearing it, and actually sealed round it as well. Leigh did none of that. Useless!
  21. Had some photos done a couple of months back as well, which I have just recently received. From the brief instances of driving it so far (off boost) it feels pretty good. Surprisingly light. Very grabby, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
