  1. And still for sale sadly. Of course the snow doesn't help as I can't even get out of the drive when it snows! Steve

    Son Of Rambow

Looks like some innocent fun for term holiday week: Son of Rambow YouTube - SON OF RAMBOW Movie Trailer Steve

    Lost S04E09

Yes, believe it or not 8 episodes was it (because of the writer strike). I am slowly going off of Lost as it is just too drawn out to be interesting anymore. Steve
  4. There is a program somewhere (the name of which I've forgotten (very helpful!)) that scans ebay for misspelt words. The theory being that they are less likely to get hits and hence have a low price. Otherwise just trawling manually seems like an uphill struggle to find bargains unless there is something very specific you are after. Steve
  5. It depends what you need: I use a laptop just for work and I don't think I've ever used the DVD Drive. As I lug it around all the time, something light and thin would be great. Steve
  6. My neighbours had one and hardly ever used it. Which I thought was a shame as I had a good view and they had two daughters aged 18 and 20 living at home Steve

    REM Accelerate

Hello In case you haven't seen REM being advertised almost everywhere, they have a new album out in a few weeks. I like the new single "Supernatural Superserious". Video: REMACCELERATE.COM Live Lounge with Jo Whiley: BBC - Radio 1 - Live Lounge - REM Steve
  8. I've owned too many .... (I'm old by the way): Some Grandstand thing with a cool motorcycle game, Atari 2600, ZX81, Vic 20, Atari 400, Atari 800, Atari 130XE, Commodore 64, Apple II, Atari 520 ST, Amiga 500, NES, SNES, N64, Sega Master System, Sega Megadrive, Sega Dreamcast, Panasonic 3DO (which I actually liked although no-one else appeared to), Playstation 1 & 2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Nintento Wii. Handhelds: Gameboy, Lynx, Gamegear, Nintendo DS I'm sure I've missed some out! Steve Edit: Thought of some more!

    PC Cleanup

A friend is a forensic scientist specialising in the recovery of data. I wasn't joking Steve

    PC Cleanup

Hello You can use something like this: http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/ It will overwrite all the free space on your hard drive 7 times which will stop the data being recovered by the casual user. And that is fine in 99.9999% of the cases. As above the only way to ensure your data is completely gone is to cut up the drive and then burn it, preferably each piece in a different place. Steve
  11. You will also be asked to plug the modem straight into the master socket to eliminate any wiring in the house. If you are getting intermittent slow speeds then it is probably your ISP over subscribed on the exchange. Steve
  12. Well, my Supra didn't sell unfortunately at a (what I think is) reasonable £8995. If I hear one more Cardeal or Cardata person I will personally track down their call center and 'go postal'. Steve
  13. I really like my Ipod Touch, great for being on short-haul flights where there is no entertainment and you want to watch a TV program that you have downloaded and converted. Useful for the internet occasionally: I have a "Web'n'Walk' Tmobile USB modem for my laptop which allows free access to Wi-fi hotspots using the Touch. I would like some games, or more applications and hopefully the release of the SDK will deliver some. I actually paid £11.99 to upgrade the software, but nothing was that useful in the end. Steve
  14. Yes, I was just about to post that! I even replied to that thread. Steve
  15. I can't work out how to edit the price, but reduced to £8995. Steve
  16. It depends what you like: Mac's look great, but you a pay a premium for it. I use one and you just switch it on and not that long afterwards you are surfing the internet. My quite powerful PC with Vista still takes a while to boot and the experience isn't so friendly. As for price, everywhere is more or less the same. When I was looking for one for my wife, the cheapest was Amazon by a little bit.

    i-pod/i-dump

Hello Have a look at some of the tools here: http://www.freewarefiles.com/cat_6_228_Ipod-Tools.html to copy files from your iPod to your PC. Are you sure your hard drive is dead? You can usually recover quite a lot from a supposedly dead drive. Steve
  22. Hello I'm selling my Supra and have been asked for interior shots of the car and I can't quite take any good ones. I guess people are looking for the leather being in good condition? Any suggestions (or samples) appreciated. My idea at the moment is to get my 7 year old daughter to lie flat in the boot and take pictures! Steve
  23. Hello Mine is a VVTi ... ? Steve
  24. It is £46.95 on http://bookshop.blackwell.co.uk/jsp/id/Alaskan_Malamute/9780931866968 Steve
