I am thinking I want a car that is usable for day to day but I want it to be able to shift like hell when i want to put my foot down. And there is nothing wrong with a GTO engine Thats my pride and joy in my garage is my Mitsi GTO TT with twin td05 turbos and many more mods, I know the stupid guys at mitsi put the engine in wrong way round but it was fun building the gto back up. Yes i agree with the v10 its looks to big and heavy. If you key in google SRT engines there is a place in america that has them new for like $9000 so our exchange rate + some extra means about 5k ish i rekon could be wrong. Skyline engine nope And supra engine yes its most sensable and its a tried and tested. dann

I can get a SRT 8.0ltr v10 engine mopar tuned brand new for about 5k with shipping charges, but its the fit ment and plumming side of things. Can get a working great condition Soarer V8 with all extras and ecu for £600 from this country Not looked into cost of others yet

I am going to start a new thread for this with a more approiate (not sure how you spell that) name. Will post the dyno print and how far i have got to in that thread. The engine swaps there was some random things thrown up in to the mix but for now the fav is the Soarer v8 engine. But some suggestions were V10 SRT Chevvy V8 with super charger Soarer v8 the normal tt supra swap looking at other 6cylinder engines and there is not may other good ones out there the skyline engine, the gto engine also a cosworth v6 lump but nothing amazing or as sound as the supra engine for a 6 cylinder can you guys suggest any decent engines ?

Ok just looked i need a new rear o2 sensor. the back one the wire was just hanging there the sensor was in hole but not connected the wire has snapped at the head of the sensor. Ok so 2 new oem sensors required but i need the screw in type not the seperate bolt in type. As my aftermarket stainless mainfold has the big hole for the sensor to screw in to. Many thanks for your help problem solved I am very grateful for your speedy help. Will the car still be ok to use though as i am ment to be going to get my ice install done tomor. Many thanks Dann

I got new o2 sensors when i did the mainfold to stainless but had to buy two single wire skyline ones. will check them out as had issues with the back on knocking on the bulk head. Many thanks runs off out side to check o2 sensors. Dann

Ok so my N/A is now using a hell of a lot of fuel as in it is using more than a skyline gtr 33. My brothers work place is 45miles away his skyline uses about £10 worth in a day, last week i took him to work in my n/a and it is using approx £25 each day she is drinking the fuel like it comes out of the taps. But on the other hand its not popping and banging. After a hard run then slow in town might get 1 or 2 pops but nothing major. Now I am no mechanic but am sure a n/a should not be using more fuel than a gtr33 running 1bar boost. Have checked the fuel lines replaced the fuel filter and no leaks or out so any clues as to why i am burning so much ? Thanks in advance for your help Dann p.s. thats right near my house went to look at it. walking distance it is a tidy car but only has a kit no other mods so i rekon a bit expensive and yes it is a veilside kit. it has been there over a year now gets moved to the front on nice days other wise its round back. Dann

Ok driving to work this morning I put my foot down in my N/A manual MKiv, and i noticed it had a slight hasitation then a little spit, almost a sneeze and away she went. so i eased off and put my foot down again and she did the same again. Well on my way i home i put some good fuel in her high octane stuff. Again she has got a hasitation. no change. I think i might know the cause but would like your views too. On saturday going to croft i was doing a fair lick on motorway and hit some subsidence the car is very low and the suspension hard but she bottomed out, and the exhaust went clang scrape on floor at speed. now she does sound a bit different thinking maybe it has gashed a small hole in the center pipe. would the leaking gasses if there was a hole in the exhaust cause the car to have a hasitation on acceleration. She has new plugs clean arc induction and a stainless exhaust system right through no cats stainless mainfold too with 2 new 02 sensors wich have been in for a few months now working fine. Can you guys shed any light on this. Many thanks Dann

Could the throttle body its self got stuck open maybe a bit of s**t got through the filter and jammed in the system or maybe you throttle cable is rusty inside the plastic causing it to stick like a cycle bike cable does sometimes. not sure just firing a few ideas here.

I fitted a arc induction to my N/A and it is awesome sounds sweet too really hear it, well you could before i fitted a HKS silent high power exhaust to my car. de-catted and done the mainifold too now all i hear is a very loud drone, then ringing in my ears. But its fantastic at 7am when i fire her up for work hahaha.

I go rivvy barn on sundays with my motorbike. is nice just got the speed bumps on ways in though. I live in radcliffe not far from you then. Dann

you get a A/F size socket that has multipull teath inside. get it so it just does not fit then smack it on with a hammer (carefull not to hit alloy) then attach a wrench and remove works a treat. I have had to do it a few times with second hand cars that i have bought and also once when i lost my locking wheel nut.
