  1. I looked into this for my last MOT and I'm sure UK cars post 93 had to be done on a cat test but pre 95 imports don't have to have them fitted regardless whether the engine etc is on the system.
  2. As Keefred says get them to re-test it under non-cat. Pre '95 import vehicles are not required to have a cat. No need to cange sensors or put cats in it for the test. My fully de-cat'ed '93 TT passes fine, an advisory every time for the noise it makes though
  3. Both Riddox and AB Flug do lip spoiler for the supra, if you do a quick search you should be able to find pics. I love the low OEM on yours ellis, looks ace!
  4. I looks like a fairly standard floating timber floor to me. If you lift a piece of insulation there should be a DPM at the bottom of a small airspace, but it doesn't look like there has been prolonged damp in there. You could lay a vapour permeable membrane to limit the air leakage but it depends what the rest of the house is like wether you would see any real results.
  5. Release date is 29th of April, weather should be good so count me in. I went to a great DAT Inter meet in Hillington Industrial estate, great place for photos of the cars, and a big flat area of concrete . The evidence is still on google earth lol, could maybe meet there first? Google maps the coordinates (55.861806, -4.380461) I can't figure out how to link to the map directly. 1 - Geo 2 - Liam 3 - mustang
  6. Surely selling the BBS wheels would cover your costs on this at least for a certain ammount of time, and you wouldn't have to get rid. May be delaying the inevitable but its worth considering if you haven't already. Lovely looking car btw, glws.
  7. I don't think this has painted either club in a good light Monster unit definately need to find someone a little better at communicating their ideas haha. If I'm at a loose end I'll probably head up to this, in the EK4 though Supra aint even roadworthy
  8. I've had the same thing but around 120 leptons just a 2nd tubby comes in. Did some research and thought it may be a faulty MAP sensor, thinking its over boosting when its not. It never really bothered me so only got another swapped in during the summer but due to other problems I've never tested it, its an easy swap so may be worth a try.
  9. Sky said 24 for me, EUI group, Bell, Elephant etc were good for me on the Supra at first but I'd go for an insurer more suited to nice import cars as they do like-for-like on mods and generally give better policys.
  10. Sorry to hear this news Lyndon, I hope youre better soon.
  11. ^ +1 Also BDC Round 4 at Knockhill on the 20th and 21st of August, can suport the SATS Cosworth team too.
  12. I'd love that, very skint at the moment though. Finding someone with the space for it will be pretty difficult too, these are enormous!
  13. I've totally lost the love, its a year since the mistery ABS fault reared it's ugly head. Hopefully get it all sorted in time for the better weather though.... This winter seems to be endless
  14. What about the next year though mate, A car thats still worth £12k and £700ish insurance or a car thats worth just under £10k and £2000 or more for insurance. I would seriously begrudge that extra and a UK TT6 will depreciate no where near as badly as an import. Oh, and cangrats on the purchase Josh, looks beautiful! edit- too slow
  15. Thats class, the XX are great never really listened to Adele though
  16. ^^^ Haha, +1. As the article says its about thier "wider social and cultural context", they do raise some relevant topics aferall.
  17. Drop me a PM too if you want, I may be able to help you out...
  18. I just got an EK4 as a daily and love it, vtec is so different from the power delivery you get from a supra! They love to be reved too, very fun cars these. Good luck with the sale:)
  19. Haha, +1, the fake bater drives me up the wall!
  20. In responce to your original question, Checkpoint in arbroath gave me a number for a bodyshop in Kirriemuir, guy called Phil Christie. Not cheap but very good apparently, I've used him though. Think its this place - http://www.buyyourcar.co.uk/directory/garages---car-repair-and-servicing/region/scotland/angus/kirriemuir/contact/philip-christie-autotech_148563 I'll PM you his mobile number...
  21. mustang

    Hihi

Welcome to the club mate, good to see another Scottish member
  22. I've been looking for a new daily for ages, for a bad economy the used car prices are still high. VAG stuf like the Golfs seem to still be silly prices.
