  3. ok well i personally wouldn't say it's as bad as that but some people might haha… it's certainly a lot less aerodynamic than a prius
  4. it is not.. it's a toyota but probably the furthest thing from a supra that toyota ever made
  5. thanks for the replies. haha thats why i'm sending a transporting company and keeping 'safe' up in scotland I actually got in touch with someone who works at the port and has assured me it will be fine since it's getting driven straight onto a transporter, so hopefully all will be good.
  6. Ok so firstly, the car is a UK registered car which went over to France a few years ago with a friend of mine, I'm looking to buy the car off him and he's agreed to take it over on the ferry from calai to Dover. The car currently has no MOT or tax, I will have a transporter waiting at the port as close to the ferry as possible to take it straight off and onto the transporter. I've called the ferry company who weren't much help and I called the dvla who have told me that it will be fine to do but I just wanted to check to see if anyone has ever had any experience with doing this kind of thing before? Will it be ok to do or is there any chance they won't allow it off the ferry to go onto the transporter because it has no MOT/tax? This is perhaps a silly question but I have no experience with ferries etc and wouldn't want to spend all the cash for it to get stopped at the port for what ever reason. Any help appreciated.
  7. this is my problem with these as well, just don't think they look good at all in daylight. i liked these ones too but never seen anyone else with them -
  8. great buy imo! all the mods so far are perfect, nice and subtle changes.
  9. Thanks for the heads up! Pete your report must have done it, second time this year too.
  10. i had a great time at this, was good catching up with people! Myself and james aren't adverse to being on the supra stand its just the people we hang out with up in aberdeen every week organised a stand and it seemed the right thing to support our close friends. Least we weren't opposite ends of the show to each other! Everyones cars were looking great! Weather held up most of the day and my hangover could have been worse i suppose!
  11. So I was driving the car yesterday and hit a pothole, everything was fine before hand but as soon as the car jolted from the bump the red handbrake light came on along with the engine management light, the exhaust sounded like an impreza and it went into safe mode so cut power when i tried to accelerate. Luckily i was just around the corner from where i was parking it. James came over to help identify what was going on, ran the fault code check (paperclip) and code 14 came up, we cleared it by resetting the ecu by disconnecting the battery and also unplugged the ignitor pack gave it a blow and reconnected.. it temporarily fixed the problem for about 100 meters driving but then the same happened again.. i turned the car over today and it seemed to sound fine again but i never drove it… Our initial thoughts it a faulty ignitor pack but i'm looking for any advice if someone has had similar problems? Idealy i'd like to swap it over with a different ignitor pack to check if it is mine that is faulty, james's is the vvti which looks different from mine and the only other up my way would be kieran but his car is currently away having some work done. If anyone has one spare i could try and send back that would be very helpful! By the looks of it i also need to check if all the coil packs are secure, just with it temporarily fixing it after blowing the ignitor connections it makes me think its that thats faulty? Any advice appreciated.
  12. yeah i have some camber on the rear but not as much as the front. i haven't adjusted the camber bolts, mine is just through lowering bud.
  13. Seems you're getting a lot of issues sorted. Did i read right that the original arches on the rear are still there under the over fenders? are you planning on doing anything there so you can get the wheels sitting better?
  14. Nice pics and awesome car! The trial rear looks great on it.
  15. Agreed this looks really unfinished… the wheels and colour are going against it too. To me it just looks like the arches have been thrown on with little regard in balancing it out.. it need to flow better with side skirts, maybe a diffuser etc.. basically aero to pull it all together.
  16. yeah, your old red one here - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-Ab-Flug-Style-Headlight-Headlamp-Inserts-Body-Kit-/301418669060
  17. hhhmmm didn't know about this.
  18. car.mad.styling on ebay right? Thats who i bought mine from a few years back, i also bought a front lip.. my experience is interesting as the front lip was pretty bad, basically the curve to follow the bumper line wasn't nearly curved enough.. it wasn't a great lip but my skirts were absolutely spot on, i'd say a very good set and fit really well with little to no modifications to them. This was a while back though so hopefully yours are just as good. Speed bumps are a no, i'll just reverse lol If i'm going somewhere i know will have speed bumps i just take my other car.
  19. thanks guys, here's the side view, shows the clearance and also the extra length i'll need to trim off.
  20. it's happened before, certainly wasn't fun..
  21. Recently purchased some Evo 8 side skirt extensions to work with my blitz skirts, i know you can get supra specific ones but from what i seen they are made to work with the original sill on the supra and wouldn't be the best for my skirts.. also i was adamant they needed to be polyurethane and not fibreglass for the obvious reasons. I'll need to take about 4 or 5 inch off the length (just going to remove a section near the end so the join is less noticeable.) looks like they should work pretty well.
  22. agreed, you'll be very happy you made the decision to buy… they are almost £200 more a set than when i bought mine, i can completely understand why most wouldn't part with the cash!
