  3. I'm looking to refurbish the dash. Maybe change the lighting, dials, etc. I've seen loads of stuff on places like eBay but that stuff usually looks tacky and that's not what I want. Any advice would be appreciated. -Cheers...
  4. Looks mighty similar to my one, the reg is even the same. The red is gone off the wheels now though.
  5. Hi- I need an oil pressure switch for a '95 TT. -Cheers...
  6. Now we might be getting somewhere. I hadn't driven it in a while and had to jump the battery right enough. It's definitely in Auto mode (Ta). I've tried cycling through the various modes and there is only one automatic mode. It's not running down for a fixed period, it's starting off at 0 and building up to whatever value. I've tried resetting S+T2 but to no avail.
  7. Well I was kina hoping to discover what was making it stay on. I guess it could be a fault with the timer or with the alternator. Has anyone else had a similar thing with these HKS timers?
  8. That's what I thought. I think the timer has only started running on so long recently. Don't know why though.
  9. No, the 50seconds of run down time occurred after driving easy with zero boost.
  10. Yes but there's an auto mode as well that works out it's own delay. Cheers Branners, that's interesting that it works off the alternator output. I wouldn't walk away from it either until it has stopped. Thought it might actually have been your old Turbo Timer. OGC ring any bells or am I mistaken?
  11. God no, I don't want to get rid of it. I'd keep forgetting to let the engine run on when I stopped. I just want an understanding of what controls the auto mode, i.e. what determines how long it runs on for.
  12. Sorry, I've been assuming that the length that the timer runs on is based on the oil temperature inside the turbos. Is this incorrect? Can someone tell me for certain what determines the length that these HKS timers run on for? -Cheers...
  13. My turbo timer seems be running on a little longer than usual. After a short, 5 mile drive without using hardly any boost it runs on for about 50 seconds. I can't be 100% sure how long it used to run on for on similar trips but I think it used to only run on for about 10-20 seconds. After driving pretty hard the timer goes up to about 4 minutes but quickly drops to under 3 minutes once I ease off. Would times of 4 minutes for hard driving and 50 seconds for short trips sound a bit much or is this normal? I'm worried that the oil in the turbo is heating up more than normal. -Cheers... P.S. It's a HKS Turbo Timer. One of these.

  15. Just wanted to add my thanks Si. I refurbed my lights today. Excellent guide. After giving my plastic lens about 3 goings over with glass cleaner I had a go at them using Autoglym Metal Polish. I couldn't believe how good it brought them up. Here's a before and after pic. They're not the best but enought to get an idea. http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/8029/head1v.jpg http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/4020/head2m.jpg Thanks again Si...
  16. I haven't located it yet. I went back and retested for a positive at the headlight, using the chassis as the negative (before I just tested for pos/neg off the connector). I reckon that the problem lies behind the dash. I had a new engine put in recently and it looks like the dash was taken out for some reason. I'm also missing the dash lights. The 'dome' fuse under the bonnet is sound so I'll have to investigate further. Dash lights are now sorted. I found the fuse in the driver's footwell. Some people say that the fuse should be in the passenger footwell but I couldn't find any fuses over that side.
  17. Ok, problem sorted. It was a bad negative. Thanks for the help lads.
  18. Well, there are only 2 headlight fuses that I know about. The 15A L and R ones under the bonnet. These are both fine. My dipped lights are OK. Do these fuses not supply both dipped and full headlights? The only thing that I can think of is a loose wire behind the dash but I don't want to go in there unless I really have to.
  19. Why that's just hilarious. Well done you.
  20. My full beam lights aren't working. Dipped and side lights are fine, just no fulls. The bulbs are fine, I've checked the connector with a volt meter and no power is getting to them. However, the blue full beam light on the dash does come on when they're turned on. The headlights are standard J-Spec. Any help would be appreciated.
  21. Hey Carl- I might be interested but would need pics and a price? -Cheers, Paul
  22. I'm looking for a set of J-Spec Turbos. I'm looking for something cheap and reliable as opposed to high powered. If there are none available here can someone suggest a reasonably priced set that I could buy off somewhere like eBay? Also, I'm looking for details of anyone that reconditions Turbos. -Cheers...
  23. Stage 3 Hybrids. I said allegedly because I know feck all about it and that's just what I was told they're capable of producing.
