  1. Ermm....didn't Satoshi Motoyama/Richard Lyons win the championship last year in a Nissan Fairlady Z ??? See Here Skylines haven't raced for factory teams since 2003.
  2. I had a Porsche 928S also. And, yes, Risky Business was what swayed me into getting it!!!
  3. Whose was this one at JAE yesterday then? (Nice car by the way!)
  4. Thanks for letting us all know it was on mate!! And then ruining it for us. DOH!!! (Is it on later in the week?)
  5. I find this whole thing very worrying. I can see the Police side of things as well as the victims family's point of view. But what does annoy me is the PM & Home Secretary coming onto the TV saying they fully support the policy of shooting to kill and that the Police are working in the most difficult of circumstances. I really think they should wait until the investigation has given its' initial report into the incident. Not so long ago, their was an inquiry in Northern Ireland about a 'Shoot to Kill' policy within the RUC. (The Stalker inquiry) The British Govt. sent John Stalker as the investigating officer into the allegations in the 1980's. At that time the RUC was the 2nd most dangerous Police Force in the world. (The most dangerous at that time was El Salvador) Police officers and civilians had been living with terrorism for 20 years then and killings on both sides of the community were common place. But uncovering a shoot to kill policy would have almost spelt the end for the security operations in N.I. Instead, they struck a deal and let the terrorists out early!!! (WTF??) But today the Met can say publically that they are operating a shoot to kill policy and it's OK?? I'm not saying they shouldn't have such a policy, but there is little consistency in what the government allow and what they don't allow. This sort of thing shouldn't be a matter of 'difficult circumstances' or what happened a week or two ago. At the end of the day, it is a matter of LAW. Such a policy is either within UK law or it's outside UK law. If it falls on one side of the law in one part of the UK, it follows that it should be consistent in all parts of the UK. This is what makes carrying arms (and using them) so very difficult for the Police in this country. I just wish the government would show some leadership and say in a more defined way what is allowed and what isn't. At the present time I don't think that we have adequate laws to deal with the current situation.
  6. The temperature sign at Prior Lake - I've been there before both in Summer and in Winter. It's just outside Minneapolis, Minnesota, and -18 degrees in midwinter is probably not actually that cold! I've seen -45 degrees F in January. Now that's Fu**ing cold!! Quality pic though!!!
  7. Ian. you just added your name for a second time!

  9. Do you mean the bulb-out indicator? Lets you know you have lost a brake light bulb. Sometimes if your rear fogs are wired up incorrectly, I've seen some where this lights up on the first application of the brakes when you have your fog lights on.
  10. Doh! Just spotted the thread for pics in the multimedia section. I'll put it there too then....
  11. Panoramic Pic of the club stand today: There's a little difference in the colours between the two pics, but they merged fairly well anyway.
  12. But if, like 2 weeks ago, they turn out to have been born in the UK, where exactly are you going to deport them to? Unfortunately, however, these sort of people are very good at saying 'I'm British' when it's to their advantage, but at any other time they do not consider themselves to be British in any way whatsoever. Re none of the devices going off properly. All this suggests to me is that the explosive material used was all from the same batch. If one was made with material that was too stable, then they all contained it.
  13. Highly unlikely. A detonator for an already lightweight device won't be any larger than a cassette box, if even that large. (For you young'uns, a cassette was a thing we used to record music on in the olden days ) Edit: Just hope there wasn't any substance in the devices that they were trying to disperse into the tube system. To do so wouldn't actually need much of an explosion.
  14. Maybe just the detonator went off?
  15. Wonder how you discovered that then Alex, eh? (Warmed up yet?!!)
  16. Sorry to do this to you mate, but everyone does it to me. It was even one of my own! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=39938&highlight=movies
  17. Me too. Saw it one day being polished outside Wilco. I think it's an Aerotop?
  18. Hmmmmm.......Ohlins!!!!
  19. This is pretty funny. Looks like this cop was giving a lecture to school kids in the US about the dangers of playing with guns. Idiot Cop Lecturer
  20. I know of at least two people in this country who have lost their roof because they drove it with just the centre pin engaged. One off this board and one belonging to some bloke near Cambridge if I remember correctly, but that was about 4 years ago. Re. the question about clip on rooves, yes some cars do have these, but they don't give the structural rigidity that the bolt in Supra roof gives. I'm pretty sure the Corvette still uses a bolt in targa roof. The '68 to '82 T-Top Corvette had clip-in panels, but then it had the centre spar to help with a bit of rigidity like the MR2 T-Top. Clip in ones are fine as long as you don't want the car to behave like a proper sports car when you put the roof back on.
  21. Happy Birthday Doood!! See you tonight for a few drinks!
  22. No, mate. Just a stubby 3/8" drive ratchet for me. (quality one, mind....cost me 20 quid!) I go for roof off AND air con on, full blast on the dash vents. ('til my feet get too hot...) Costs a bit extra on fuel, but hey....IT'S SUMMER!!!!
