Yeah, thought about the Millenium Hilton, but we're going to the Embassy Suites which is another Hilton company anyway. All the rooms are suites with at least a couple of rooms. Looks nice. We wanted a quiet location. We'll be getting plenty of the busy stuff all day when we're shopping. As for cold, I've spent some time in Minneapolis in January. Now THAT's cold!! (Once saw -45 C!!) Will have to stock up on the winter clothing before going anyway though!

Thought I'd see if I could find something moveable that was positively identifiable. Found this at Anchorage Airport in Alaska. Got to be one of the clearest views at the best res. anywhere I've found around the globe. Then I googled 'Boeing 747 with the number on the wing.
  4. Nickname: Rip, Meatloaf, Duffy, Puff, Soop Dogg (obviously) Asian Dude, Paddy. Would like to be stuck in a lift with: Gwen Stefani Most precious posession: A jug! (heirloom), erm....Cats & Supe Fav film that doesnt have a light sabre in it: The Motorcycle Diaries Worst car ever owned: Mini 1275GT Car most like you and why: De Lorean. Made in N. Ireland, looked ok in its' day, but a bit dated now. Rather slow. Claim to fame: Eddie Irvine was one of my mates in school. End of term report: Brian needs to apply himself better to his work. Spends too much time messing about.
  5. Angie - you forgot to add the car which is most like you. I say a Cobra. Classic design but farts and pops alot. Occasionally topless. Can be heard coming from miles away. Requires regular servicing. (I'm dead now!!!)
  6. Must be something to do with that oingy-boingy suspension you're running around with in the back of your motor, mate!! Your eyes are obviously still moving around trying to compensate for it!
  7. Looking great mate! And someone other than me has a wood effect dash!!
  8. Think you mean the Bee Gees there mate. Later covered by Steps. Erm.....I shouldn't have said that, should I? (Goes to get coat.....)
  9. This same idea went around at the time of the fuel protests and then again about a year and a half ago We as a group must have a fairly large percentage of us who rarely if ever buy from anyone but Shell.(Because of Optimax) Has that hurt any other company? Probably not. The oil companies make most of their money out of commercial sales of their products, not selling petrol to car drivers.
  10. Toyota Supra beaten by . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Mini Cooper Ford Mustang Ford Model T
  11. The 350D seems to get around this. I use Compact FLash Ultra II and it didn't have any problems with this at Le Mans this year. In fact I was able to wind off 9 or 10 shots at a time at the full 8Mpixel setting and it just kept going. And the start up time for the 350 is hugely quicker than the 300. As you've probably read in the reviews, the 350 wasn't an upgraded 300, it's a completely new camera. To be honest, though, you'll very likely be more than happy with any of these. They're all great cameras. This is IanC at Le Mans on a shooting range at the funfair. This was taken as part of a stream of about 8 pics on multi-shot in bad light as it was about 3am! I couldn't believe the shutter speeds I could get away with at night around the circuit too. (Resolution reduced greatly to upload!)
  12. The Supra also beats: Lamborghini Murcielago Porsche 911 Lotus Elise Toyota Celica Toyota MR2 (Closest!) Nissan 200SX, 300ZX, 350Z, Skyline Mazda RX8 Cosworth Sierra Subaru Impreza Ferrari Enzo Should I get out more???
  13. Of course you can. Just use a long lens!
  14. Shutter noise? The only shutter noise I know of with the 350D is the ACTUAL noise generated by the mirror being flipped up, the curtain activating and the mirror going back down again. Nothing that I know of that is electronically generated. When your 'phone makes this noise, it is, as you are no doubt aware, simulating the sound of an SLR shutter being released. Although the digital SLR's are electronic, they still have the mechanical moving parts of a normal SLR, it's just that the light is directed onto a sensor instead of film. The noise is real! Just get a big lens. That way you can take your 'candid' shots far enough away so they can't hear it anyway!
  15. Matt, I may have a spare Cruise Control stalk. pm me if interested.
  16. But then the Canon 20D is about a grand and is actually 8.2 megapixel. It's pitched to the slightly more professional end of the scale. Better quality sensor. Like I say, for me it came down to the 350D or the Nikon D70. There really wasn't much to choose between them at all. Size and weight was the only thing that separated them for me. Both are superb cameras.
  17. Strangely,Angie and myself average out at 9", but she's 8 and I'm 10. Spooky!
  18. Sorry, but I don't see the problem with the front bumper on these pics. The fit looks pretty good to me, no horrendous gaps anywhere that I can see. The fact that it is unpainted doesn't help, but give the bloke credit, he HAS fitted it all to a car to at least show the fit. I'd try and contact the third buyer in the feedback list, name is 'greepaj'. He bought the same kit earlier this month and seems happy with the transaction. Maybe he can give you some pointers as to the quality. Let's not crucify someone who may be just starting out and doing reasonable kit at a reasonable price. (just my 2p)
  19. That's what I thought too. I know Heckler has the HKS one on his car which came in the kit he bought.
  20. I know this probably belongs in Technical, but I want as many people to see this as quickly as possible. Does the HKS Type 'S' Intercooler kit come with the Power Steering Cooler included to replace the stock Toyota one? I am part way through the install and don't have the replacement P/S cooler. Someone has mentioned that they managed to fit theirs with the stock cooler in place, but I can't see how it can be done. All that I can find on the internet shows the replacement P/S cooler in the kit. Thanks in advance!
