  1. Hope to see you at the next meet. You're still welcome mate!
  2. The 750K customers got that upgrade to 2Mb too, which is what I'm on now. But in the new year, they reckon we'll be getting 10Mb!! Now that's fast! They reckon you can download a single in 3 secs at that rate!!
  3. And that one's soooo old I think I fell off my dinosaur the first time I heard it!
  4. What's the difference between a porcupine and BMW? A porcupine has the pricks on the outside
  5. I've used the Assimetrico on the rear with Pzero Rosso's on the front. This used to be the manufacturer fitment combination for some Ferraris a few years back and I found them to be very good. Unlike the Rosso, the Assimetrico is directional, so you need to make sure they go on the right way on the car. High speed stability is superb, but never used them on the front.
  6. I am now totally confused too. Rosie....please can you tell us where to post the pics? In the thread link put a post or two ago by Dash Rendar, you said that THAT thread was where we should discuss the calendar. And there you provided a link to where we should POST the pics, but that link is THIS thread. But now you're talking about ANOTHER thread with the rules etc. on the first page??? I did post our pics on some thread (which I thought was this one) a few weeks ago, but can't find it now, so posted them here as the thread title lead me to believe this is where they should be. Now I don't know WHERE I should put them!!! :help:
  7. If you suspect this is the case, I wouldn't touch it! They rag the shit out of them when drifting and the diff will probably need a rebuild.
  8. That would have to be the 'Where's me turbos thread!!' IanC did a great pic of lots of hands pointing into an engine bay at the general area of the turbos and then someone photoshopped a dogs paw amongst all the hands pointing. It was so funny I almost pi$$ed myself!! Would love to see it again if someone grabbed it. I think it was deleted by a mod with a sense of humour failure!
  9. Been thinking of a plasma myself, but as said here, HDTV is definitely the way to go. I won't be splashing out on one until I ifnd the right HDTV one. Give it 18 months and non-HDTV will be seriously cheap. The difference is amazing when you see one of these sets. Colour, definition, everything about it is far superior. Hitachi do a nice one, 42PD7200 I think is the one I have been looking at. Another nice touch with this one is the rotary stand it sits on. You can rotate the TV via the remote as it's motorised! Well cool gadget! And it's about £2000, so not TOO expensive.
  10. Sorry, mate, but if you ain't got snow capped peaks and at least one glacier in the backgound, then you just haven't tried hard enough!! These are our entries:
  11. Well, I suppose if pre-teens are your thing.......
  12. Am I the only one that thinks they all look like kids? They just remind me of my nieces in their early teens!! Wrongometer was well into the red looking at those I'm afraid!!! I can see they look pretty and all that, but just in a very child-like kinda way. Sorry. :thumbdown

    Help

OR....... Racelogic used to do their own devices for non-abs cars. Consists of something that straps onto the driveshafts with teeth (high/low spots) on them and some sensors that fit onto the suspension (so they travel up and down with the driveshafts) and read the pulses from the things on the shafts. Not sure if they still do these, but I know they used to. You'd have to ask them.
  14. on Ebay. Here Marvellous!

Didn't you mean 'I.T.'s all fries'???
  16. Yes. And now look what's happened.......
  17. Not go ttime unfortunately. I'll come back and post one tonight!
  18. No2: Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Guess at 1969. Oh and it's a T-Top as oppose to a convertible in that pic. No1 wouldn't happen to be a Panos would it?
  19. We're with Norwich Union Breakdown. RAC are now owned by Norwich Union and so will probably offer a similar product. Got personal cover so we can drive any of the cars abroad. Not cheap, but alot cheaper than getting recovered at your own expense! While we're talking about driving abroad, check your insurance before you go too. When they sell you a policy they'll tell you all the guff about 'up to 30 days cover in mainland Europe' etc. etc. However, if you look at the small print, this is for the MINIMUM cover required by the country in which you are driving at the time of needing to make any claim. Normally, (like the UK) this is 3rd party only. If you want your fully comp insurance to be extended to cover you in Europe, you have to ask for it and pay an extra premium. Doesn't usually amount to much, for me it was an extra £22 a year or something like that. Only became aware of this when I took some exams earlier this year for the Chartered Institute of Insurers. Checked with my insurer and sure enough I had gone to Le Mans in 2003/2004 without fully comp insurance!!! For such a small premium, I would have thought it was worth them telling us more about this.
  20. I put Ohlins coilovers all round on my TT Aerotop. If I want it squishy, I just back off the dials on top of the shocks until it's soft enough. Doesn't take long to backoff the pre-load with a couple of C-Spanners either. Then if I decide someday that I'm going to take it on a track, I'll just crank them all back up a bit! Sorted.
  21. I managed a 12.87 quarter mile a couple of years ago in a J-Spec Twin Turbo with nothing other than a full decat and fuel cut defender to allow it to boost over 1bar. I don't really call that slow either!
