  1. Cheeky git!! Do you mean like this:
  2. Cheers, mate. I'm rapidly coming to that same conclusion now. There probably won't be any fuel anyway! Oh, and thanks to those who don't care 'cos it aint their car anyway! I'd show equal concern to you if you are looking for advice in the future if I knew who you were!!
  3. But the Nationalists were at it in Derry last night too. And I wouldn't trust Portadown to be quiet at any time of the year!! My intended destination in Newtownards in North Down. I'll be in Bangor a fair bit too.
  4. I'm off to N. Ireland this weekend for about 10 days. In light of the trouble there over the weekend, if you were me, would you take the Supe? I have NEVER worried about this sort of thing in over 20 years of travelling to Belfast and never thought I would let trouble-making tw@ts like this bother me or change the way I choose to do things, but there have been cars and buses hijacked and burnt out within 3 miles of my parents place. They were actually burning cars on the route from my parents to my sister's house, which is what worries me. Chances are it will all fizzle out during the week, and it will be ok, but should I take the chance? I might have my decision made for me if this fuel protest takes hold though, as I have to travel to Stranraer from Norwich and probably can't make that trip on one tank! My alternative transport is an Audi A6 TDi.
  5. No 30 Day Free Trial required here.....

    Apology

4 coloured blokes dressed in purple found today in the waters in N. Orleans. Just been identified as The Drifters...... (You might have to be of a 'certain age')

Or then there's the one about 'Katrina and the Waves'....
  8. The AON policy is one that I KNOW doesn't give you any no claims discount. Or at least it didn't a year and a half ago.
  9. You've obviously never been then if you think everyone gets drunk all the time. My parents and lots of other people I know over there are Tea-Total! Beautiful countryside, superb hospitality, people who actually speak to you when you're just walking along the beach or wherever. I think natural beauty and friendliness sums it up for me. And they're into their cars and motorbikes over there too! You sound like you should give it a chance. (By the way, the Guinness is nice too!)
  10. I'd have to say Northern Ireland because of the great footb.......I'll get me coat.........
  11. A man was found dead in the street last night wearing the full England fooltball team strip. Police replaced his clothing with a bra, panties and suspenders to save his family any embarrassment.
  12. OK, everyone. Sorry. Couldn't resist. It has been about 80 years or something since this happened, so come on...I'm entitled to celebrate! [whisper] Well done N. Ireland! [/whisper]
  13. Don't forget N. Ireland didn't exactly play TOO badly! Ok, they're not the best team in the world, everyone knows that, and England didn't play as good as they can, but N.I. certainly gave a good account of themselves too.
  14. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Respect!
  15. Should be do-able with slick changes etc. I did a 12.87 in my auto a couple of years ago with just a double decat and a FCD. Santa Pod doesn't have the best grip in the world though....
  16. Most 'Classic' policies require the car to be over a specified age. However, you can also find specialist policies that work in a similar way. AON used to do a 'Roadster' policy through Royal and Sun Alliance which was pretty cheap. You could limit your mileage to 3,5 or 7,000 miles. Be careful though. Before taking out any of these 'limited mileage', 'Classic' or 'Specialist' policies, make sure it earns you a PROPER no claims discount. There are some out there that don't earn ANY NCD at all. They have a habit of not mentioning this until the first renewal.
  17. Oxygen! Someone give me some oxygen!
  18. Bizarre!! But hey, it's Japanese!
  19. What brings you down this way, Kopite?
  20. May even have been the Steve Hislop lap. He did a lap a few years ago with a camera on the bike and just happened to break the lap record. If you ever see the whole lap it looks anything but slow! Poor bloke died in his helicopter while flying home a year or two ago.
  21. Translation: I saw her tonight. Currently wasted. Update you nosey lot tomorrow. (I speak fluent pi$$ed!!)
  22. You lost your 'phone or had it nicked. Some thieving scumbag sent the message obviously! Put in the insurance claim in the morning. Oh, and don't be a muppet again!!!
