  1. You drive a Supra - I'd say get new discs and keep things as safe as you can. It's not like they cost the earth.
  2. Disorder In The Court These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place. _______________________________ Q: Are you sexually active? A: No, I just lie there. _______________________________ Q: What is your date of birth? A: July 15. Q: What year? A: Every year. ______________________________________ Q: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact? ! A: Gucci sweats and Reeboks. ______________________________________ Q: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all? A: Yes. Q: And in what ways does it affect your memory? A: I forget. Q: You forget? Can you give us an example of something that you've forgotten? _____________________________________ Q: How old is your son, the one living with you? A: Thirty-eight or thirty-five, I can't remember which. Q: How long has he lived with you? A: Forty-five years. _____________________________________ Q: What was the first thing your husband said to you when he woke up that morning? A: He said, "Where am I, Cathy?" Q: And why did that upset you? A: My name is Susan. ______________________________________ Q: Do you know if your daughter has ever been involved in voodoo or the occult? A: We both do. Q: Voodoo? A: We do. Q: You do? A: Yes, voodoo. ______________________________________ Q: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning? A: Did you actually pass the bar exam? ___________________________________ Q: The youngest son, the twenty-year-old, how old is he? _____________________________________ Q: Were you present when your picture was taken? ______________________________________ Q: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th? A: All my autopsies are performed on dead people. ______________________________________ Q: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to? A: Oral. ______________________________________ Q: Do you recall the time that you examined the body? A: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m. Q: And Mr. Dennington was dead at the time? A: No. Q: Did you check for blood pressure? A: No. Q: Did you check for breathing? A: No. Q: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy? A: No. Q: How can you be so sure, Doctor? A: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar. Q: But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless? A: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law somewhere.
  3. Yep. I guess we can all agree on that.
  4. In the RAF it was what we called 'percussion adjustment' when some of the nav equipments wouldn't work. i.e. 'Jar the equipment on the hangar floor'!! (Only joking....)
  5. What I said was, "I think you forgot to mention that the bloke paid for his mistake with his life." You even replied, recognising that "The article mentions it clearly." So what you failed to mention, I found in the article. You supplied the information via the link, but you failed to mention it yourself when presenting the story as a joke. Like I said, if he'd just hurt himself, it would have been hilarious. This sort of comedy I love, when it's comedy.
  6. Where do you think I found the information? DUH!
  7. Absolutely brilliant! They've put some effort into that!
  8. Apparently if you get into the Bronze Plus seats on the outside of Luffield (See the map you posted) you get a view of the cars coming all the way down from Abbey, through Bridge, Priory, Luffueld 1 and 2 and disappearing onto the Pits Straight. Was told that was excellent by a mate who went this year.
  9. I think you forgot to mention that the bloke paid for his mistake with his life. In which case it kinda loses the comedy for me.
  10. But then, to be honest there's more - MUCH more chance of running over something slippery on the roads. Public roads are a disgrace at the best of times. At least on the track there won't be someone coming the other way! (hopefully....) and there won't be the risk of mowing down some mother pushing a child in a pram along side where you're driving.
  11. Apparently it's "Gimme That" by The Rosource feat. Jimmy Napes.
  12. From the on-board it looks like there was a nice big trail of fluid on the track just where the Westie lost it. Nasty. You'd be gutted.
  13. Yeah, but if they drop UK interest rates, the exchange rate against the $ won't be even as good as it is at the moment. Plus the US interest rates look like they are on an upward trend, so we'll get an even worse exchange rate if our rates go down and theirs go up.
  14. NUD are generally one of the cheapest around nowadays. They even managed to get the GZ Aerotop identified correctly. As I wrote one off 2 years ago, I only had 1 years NCB when I insured mine. Bargain at £672! However, they won't insure under 25's in cars over a specified cc which from memory is only about 2 litres, so forget insuring a Supe with them if under 25. Angie only pays £407 fully comp on her TT through NUD! They're always worth a call as over the last 2 years or so their pricing has been pretty fluid. Premiums just keep going down.
  15. Think you did a journalist job there and left out the rest of my sentence. What I regretted was leaving it turned to 20% as it wasn't then able to catch the car when I hit diesel. RLTC is MORE than worth its' money. But you have to make sure you have it set correctly when you are on the public road. i.e. 5% max at this time of the year!
  16. Re the fuel consumption. Not much difference between the auto and manual if any at all. Both seem to get an average of about 20mpg +/-2ish. On a trip I have managed 27mpg on the french motorways cruising at about 80 in my auto.
  17. Fitting RLTC and then leaving it on 20% just before hitting a slippy patch on the exit of a roundabout. RIP one mint black Supra. Got another couple now though! (And both have RLTC which stays at 5% or 'Wet'!)
  18. That's one of those jokes that's just so silly, I can't stop laughing at it!!
  19. Sorry Alex. I read your post as if there was a connection between the full carbon body and it not being road legal.
  20. Aren't carbon bodies road legal? (DBRS9)
  21. Taken recently at the Ferrari Test Track - Valentino Rossi testing the F1 car:
  22. I know this is a bit late, but it might save some others having problems. If you ever have to jump start you car, don't connect the jump leads with your ignition on. If you want, take the key out of the ignition before connecting everything up to make extra sure nothing is turned on. Then and only then, turn the ignition on. Power spikes at the instant you connect the leads can cause all sorts of problems with the electronics. This one is pretty odd as there seems to be lots of things going on at the same time. It does sound like there is mechanical movement going on because things happen going over bumps. Melted insulation does sound very possible, but it'll be a nightmare to find the problem if this is what it is. Had any other work done lately? I know IanC's car had some VERY odd symptoms a few years ago after the main engine earth lead worked loose. Hope you find the problem.
  23. Ians sounded AWESOME going through the tunnel in Rouen on the way to Le Mans this year. Spine-tingling is probably a good description! Almost made me feel a bit scared hearing it come down the road behind me.
  24. I agree the DBR9 looks better. Got a nice close-up look at them when they LOST at Le Mans this year. I like how the rear of the 'vette looks. You should ask the Aston drivers what they thought as they got to look at that part of the 'vette quite alot. lol!!
