  1. Odd. I've had numerous orders from Fancyplactes and never had a problem. Always received first rate service from them here.
  2. More scary than silly, I'd have thought!
  3. Don't, for instance wear one that makes you look like a seal!! Seal Hat at the Zoo
  4. Yes you did - Unique Performance in Texas. It was featured on 'Rides' on sky a while back. Now these are gorgeous! Eleanor1 Eleanor2 But you won't get one of these cheap. You pay for this sort of craftsmanship.
  5. I seem to remember this being related to subframe bolts? Could be wrong, but I seem to remember it being this.
  6. This can also happen if your handbrake is adjusted so that you only have a couple of clicks movement on it AND you've jacked the car up on the body. (So that the rear suspension is fully extended.) The handbrake cable is stretched slightly in reaching the hubs as they hang lower. This has the effect of pulling the handbrake on ever so slightly. If you place the car on axle stands under the lower wishbones, the suspension will be in its normal position, with the rear wheels up inside the arches. Then try spinning the wheels. If they spin freely then there's nothing wrong with your calipers.
  7. Hi and Welcome to the board. You only require a minimum No. of posts to be able to use a cusotm avatar. This is the pic you display under your name. There is no threshold as far as I know before you are allowed to post photographs as attachments.
  8. Bale Engineering on the airport industrial estate in Norwich is good too if you aren't bothered about a Toyota stamp in the book. PM me if you want to know more details.
  9. So let me get this right...."at legal speeds".... (eg 70mph) ...."it's fantastically fast"....erm....that'll be 70mph then! But my Supra does that. And so does Angies Supra - and her Audi! FANTASTIC!!!!!!
  10. Oh, and what did you think if the match tonight Kopite?
  11. I bought a 700 recently and am well impressed with it. It has the hard drive in it with all the street level European maps already installed. It's Blue-tooth enabled and has phone nos etc. for all the points of interest (restaurants, garages etc) built in. Well worth the extra £35!
  12. Here you go http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=41040&highlight=bottom+pulley
  13. Someone posted a thread about this about a year ago with pics. When some other members here went to check theirs, I seem to remember at least a couple of people who found that the rubber ring which is between the inner and outer part had disintegrated and was in this condition. Worth a regular check, this.
  14. Welcome to the site, mate. In the 'Gatherings & Events' section, there is an Ireland section where I know some of the lads from the North & South post meetings in their respective regions. Also, try here for local owners=>http://www.supras-ireland.net/
  15. I'm actually a bit concerned about this. Will there be groups of cars hammering along the straight at full chat? If so, this sounds just plain dangerous to me. Some of the cars of members on here can get into the 120's in a quarter mile from a standstill. If they were to enter the runway off a corner at, say 40mph, they'll be way over 160 before they start slowing down. Now I'm all for getting this sort of experience, but if there's other cars on the straight at the same time, things can happen extremely quickly, expecially if things go wrong. (Think of what a tyre burst could do in a group of cars doing over 150) Perhaps McGoo could confirm the format of how this will be run? After all, even at TSC and TOTB, they only ever allow one car at a time to perform a high-speed run on the runway. The next car isn't normally released until the one in front has been confirmed as having left the track. Anyone else have any thoughts?
  16. Rosie, you seem totally convinced that the pharma company has done everything totally and utterly by the book. But questions are now being asked if the required amount of testing was carried out prior to commencing human trials. I wouldn't trust any business to stay 100% within the rules when getting stuff on sale ASAP means more money to them. Wouldn't surprise me at all if a few corners were cut.
  17. So have you guys increased your rolling radius on the front wheels by going up an inch or two from stock and having too high a profile on your tyres? There are tyre circumference calculators all over the internet to make sure you keep this within 2.5% tolerence. Also by increasing the diameter of you wheel/tyre package, your speedo will now be a fair way out too. I've had 3 sets of wheels on at least 3 different combinations of suspension over the last 5 years or so and never had any problems. If you go up a wheel size, you should also come down a profile on your tyres. Use one of the calculators on line to get as close as you can. See here (If you have a stock set up of 235x45x17", you can go to 275x35x18" and still be within about 1% of the original diameter. If you're getting rubbing when you turn the wheels, then this is a different problem altogether and you may be getting into an offset problem for which the only cure may be the dreaded spacers.
  18. Need to know the rim size (i.e. width) to make a judgement on that I'm afraid.
  19. Keep that renewal letter too. What was the date on it? They are supposed to get it out to you about a month before renewal. (Can't remember the new FSA regs, but under the old GISC rules it was supposed to be a month) Tell them to shove it before you go to the FSA!
  20. Erm...I think I pointed out the discrepency with the 'R' in my original post.
  21. Probably a repost, but this is funny! (I guess the 'R' would be back to front though...)
  22. Ignoring the 2yr old condition I'd take my Supe Aerotop TT. COnforming to the 2yr old bit, I'd have a DB9 Volante if it's available yet.
  23. Insurance will also cost you an arm and a leg in Northern Ireland for a Supe! To be honest, I don't understand the comment about age not making much of a difference. I work in the industry and age is a major rating factor. Also, the gap between imports and UK cars is getting smaller all the time as there are so many more imports around now.

    ABS on J-SPEC

Is that on a UK car? Or even a LHD one? I'm sure the ABS unit is on the other side on a J-Spec.
