  1. I'll second that! I did my fields harness the same way and a couple of weeks ago had to do some fault finding. This involved taking one item 'out of the loop' at a time. Suffering the pain when putting the whole thing together last year was certainly worth it. I can now remove the RLTC (or anything else, for that matter) and rejoin the loom again in seconds. Well worth it!
  2. First rule of buying a new car: Check ALL the fliuds. Power Steering, Engine oil, transmission fliud, diff oil, coolant - the lot! Could save alot of hassle later on.
  3. That Maaars Bar was pimped by 'Soop Dogg' but it wasn't me! Who's using my name in vain then????? I'll kick their ass if I catch them! (unless the give me a Mars bar first......)
  4. You'll find loads of adverts for dealers in Classic American magazine. You'll usually find it in WH Smiths.
  5. I like the 3000GT. I was on a track day last Sunday and had a friend driving one behind me. I was on the limit through the corners and he was all over me like a rash! Thank god for the straight bits where I stomped away from him! (Until I got it all out of shape in a hairpin and he got past....DOH!) Got MUCH more respect for these cars now!
  6. Got a few track days coming up this month and wondered if anyone has any hints on the best companies for track day insurance? Had one quote so far of £170 to cover 2 events. Not sure if this is good or not. Still gathering quotes.
  7. Welcome back Si!! (On Friday of course!) Might have something for you to try on your car when you get back too.
  8. Sorry if I got the wrong end of the stick, John. Had this image of someone who doesn't give a to$$, driving around dumping fuel on the road!
  9. Ermm....try asking a motorcyclist that question. They'd probably smack you in the mouth for knowingly depositing diesel on the road - no matter how small the quantity. Oh, and driving a car with a faulty fuel system is an offence. Sorry, John, but diesel spills REALLY hack me off.
  10. Toyota don't do breakdowns. But if they did, they'd probably be the best breakdowns in the world.

  12. Funny that - my black TT Aerotop started out life as storm blue!
  13. I've bought ALL of my Supes over 100 miles away. I've always gone straight there with cash in hand if I was even slightly interested. It's the only way. If you can, get the seller to assure you he'll give you first refusal to allow you a few hours to get there. My current TT aerotop was on the Autotrader website for less than an hour when I spotted it at about 8pm on a Friday evening. I called the bloke straight away and had bought it by lunchtime Saturday. Then I had to drive 150 miles home, pick up Angie when she had finished work and go straight back to pick it up! Not that it wasn't worth it!
  14. Donation made. Well done and good luck with the run!

    French Cottages?

Oh shut up and put some effort in!! The Gites are of the highest standard you could hope for, and most are about £40 a night. (room -rate) There are English pages on that site, you just have to look for them. Many of the Gites have their own websites with English versions linked on the Gites-de-France site too. Alex, IanC and Digsy will tell you how good they are - we stayed in one on the way back from Le Mans last year.
  16. Senna was wearing white socks!
  17. I bet that impressed the 12 yr old girls behind the camera. Sorry - gotta agree with the comments from TDRAPER above. Yes, nicely done, but keep that sort of thing off the road.
  18. I was in the RAF back about 20 odd years ago. Did my apprenticeship in Electronic Engineering, Air Coms/Air Radar.
  19. I agree with the 'Brave Woman' comment. At least she had the courage of her convictions! (Rightly or wrongly) Respect!
